hurr durr give back old health revives for Vitasuits. /jk

New Health Revives:
Requires more than 50% of current max hp, Player loses 50% of max hp and gives 25% of max hp to targeted player; 25% of Player's max hp goes poof.
Requires that some Vitasuit be worn.

Think about it, seems pretty reasonable, right?

This suggestion has no relation to the stats of the Vitasuits.

Might be neat

They are supposed to be worn by medics anyways.

I make you black, bluue and red all over

But then this would give the suit a unique mechanic that is not present on any other piece of armor. You would then find everyone wearing a vitasuit just to use the health revive, where they in-turn would have so little defenses that they would die too quickly to even use it.

It's one thing to give an armor piece a special stat increase that can be mimicked to some degree by UVs, pet perks or other armor. It's something completely different to give it a unique game breaking mechanic and bottleneck the players into using it.

Do you honestly think people would give up their full bar of special damage and status resistance and VH Sword Damage (VH Everything CTR and Damage bonuses in the case of Chaos) bonuses for the ability to heal another player who is completely crap, or to have the ability to, but not actually get the oppurtunity to, heal a player that contributes to the party and doesn't die twice per level?

It would fill a niche, allowing a supportive role, but be a large enough sacrifice that not everyone would immediately kick anyone not wearing a vitasuit.

It sounds cool...

But as Hexzyle stated, it wouldn't be a very good trade off seeing as it requires failure on your partner's part to require use. You're gimped the entire time your partners are alive cause instead of doing more damage to destroy your enemies, you're making a second safety net for the group, third if you're counting sparks which are usually plentiful enough to not need the revive mechanic anymore.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

@Shadowstarkirby

I only have 7 sparks. I would get a Deluxe Vitasuit for this.

(I might anyway just for the costume.)

I'd love to see this.

@Masterreeve Can't say I'd give up my Chaos for just to be able to rev people, even in lower Depths. They shouldn't be dying anyway.

I like the idea since the lack of defense could be a major trade-off to balance it.

I'll support :)

I'll say Qwez has a pretty reasonable idea. Most people will still choose either azure or almirin crusader set to vitasuit delux because they go up

to 5* and vitasuit only gives wearer +2 hearts compared to them. So honestly I think that vitasuit delux needs more specialties, like what Qwez said.

And since Hexzyle stated that player's won't bother revving others, then adding Qwez's rev method won't hurt, right???

I still don't like giving this one armor piece a specific mechanic irrelevant to armor that no other armor has. Even if you all say that people would not use it as much since it is so weak, the mechanic still sets it apart from all other armors in that it would be that one armor that everyone should at least craft, even if you are not going to wear it.

Also, if anyone came into a party wearing a vitasuit, it would seem like they are expected to rev everyone at the expense of their own life just because they are wearing it. If they didn't, they might be called things that should not be repeated in a general public.

I don't see anyone wearing a vitasuit for any other reason nowadays anyway, so this certainly wouldn't hurt.
It's not like there are currently people wearing it who will get upset because it's their only tier 3 armor and now everyone is expecting them to do things they don't want to do.

+1, sounds cool

I like this idea; I myselfe already thought about a way to make vitasuits more common.

And Spiral Knights is supposed that one set has advantages in one way and in the same Moment disadvantages in another way - so it is no problem to get a defensive/protetive ability in exchange for direct protection or offense.

Plus: this allows a supporting gameplay that does not exist, actually.

Supporting gameplay does exist, but very few people actually use it.

More Vitasuits?

With something like this they could add more crafting branches for the Vitasuit! They could give specific defenses or maybe even certain boosts (speed boost?), but they would never protect as well as other armours. (ex. A shadow Vitasuit would never provide as much shadow defense as a Skelly Suit of the same tier.)
