What is Spiral Lights?
The Spiral Lights is a two day charity event hosted by the Arsenal Podcast in support of Charity: Water! This is a community-based event, and we need your help to make it a success!

What's happening during this event?
The Spiral Lights consists of four major live events over the course of the two days, followed by a week in which donations can still be made. All times are tentative and listed are in Eastern Standard Time (GMT-4).
Friday, June 6, 2014
2PM: Clockworks CopyKat - Multiple knights run the same levels with different gear to see how their play styles and gear choices vary the run. It looks like this.
4PM: Spiral Knights Shopping List - A “competitive” mini game in which teams complete objectives to earn points, but for every death, penalties of varying severity are inflicted on each team to hinder them. It looks like this.

2 PM: Coliseum Rumble – 6 versus 6 teams battle in Blast Network and Lockdown. We have some large names in the SK world coming, so check them out and see how you can get involved!

How do I donate? What do I get from donating?
You can go to our donation page on Charity: Water by clicking the link: http://my.charitywater.org/spirallights.
Click on the Donate button to get started. When you donate, include the following in the “Comment” section of the donation window!

The name of your knight
A message for us to read on the stream
A description of your knight (costume, personal color, accessories/auras/etc.) to be added to the commemorative graphic being designed for this event.
If you donated $15 (US Dollars) or more, your preference of Monster Pocket.

Note that whatever you write will appear along with the name you give (unless you mark yourself anonymous) at the bottom of the campaign page!
WARNING! If you do not provide at least the name of your knight, you void your entry into the Shopping List and Coliseum Rumble games and the raffles, as we have no way of contacting you!

At any donation level:

Get your name and message read out on the live stream (we’ll read the in-game name you provide, not your real name).
If you provide a description of your knight, (s)he will be added to a commemorative graphic being designed in SpiralSpy by Serjinxable and published after the event for download.
Get a good feeling of helping out people in need.

At $5 (US Dollars):

Become eligible to be randomly chosen for Friday and Saturday’s Shopping List games.
Get entered into the raffle for a Prime Bombhead Mask.
All previous rewards.

At $10 (US Dollars):

Get entered into the raffle for Heart Crests.
All previous rewards.

At $15 (US Dollars):

Get entered into the raffle for Monster Pockets.
All previous rewards.

To the highest donators:
The three highest donators at the time of the events will be invited to participate in Saturday’s Coliseum Rumble

How do I attend the event? What if I can't make it because of scheduling/time zones/etc.?
The event will be streamed live at http://twitch.tv/spirallights, starting at 2PM EST (GMT-4) on Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, 2014.
Come watch the fun, interact with the streamers and other viewers, and support the event!

If you can't attend the event, don’t worry! While the live events will take place on the weekend of June 6-7, the event will continue for the following week, as video highlights and recaps of the event are released on Youtube.
To keep on top of things, subscribe to the Arsenal Podcast Youtube channel, where all the videos will be going up.
Over the week following June 7, donations can still be made, and you will still be eligible to win the prizes offered to donators. Prize eligibility will end on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 11:59PM EST (GMT-4).

Donating is what makes a charity event a success, so if you're on the edge of considering donating, let this serve as a prompt for you and do it! :)

@Autofire - Thanks for spreading the word! We hope others will do the same. It makes no difference whether you donate now or during the event, as we will acknowledge every donation made before the event begins on the Twitch stream on Friday. Wanting to hear your own message and not being able to make it Friday is the only reason I can think of to wait to donate. ;)

@Dermog - We use Livestream because the Livestream Procaster desktop app we use to stream offers a digital sound board where I can mix volume inputs and such. We do not own an external mixing board, and Twitch's only options to control such things cost real money that we're not interested in spending (as we get nothing in return). Livestream suits our needs --you're right, not as perfectly as Twitch would-- but it offers the utility that we need to make the podcast as high quality as possible.

@Soulstalker - Well, we did get one feature on their Facebook here.
Actually, I've been in correspondence with Eury up until a couple weeks ago, and she said she'd be promoting the event via all the SK social medias, starting from a month out. But it seems she's away for some reason… on vacation, on a break, I dunno. In any case, we haven't gotten all the support we were expecting as it seems someone else is currently running the social medias, which is fine.
Again, that's why all you awesome people (and myself too, of course) are here to go on the publicity crusade to get the event known! ;)

@Awsome-incarnate - If you'd like, you can show them the actual donation page, which is directly on the Charity:Water website. Donations are done straight through Charity:Water's donation service, and there are many other projects that have also used their service.

Not sure if sarcastic or serious, but just in case,
what if I told you that I worked with Charity:Water on multiple occasions and have seen the large scale work they have done myself?

And there is much more proof too, and I'd encourage you to endeavor on a Google search to see the cool stories that have been published about the lives that have been touched by their efforts. They are definitely real, unless you're a theorist/conspirer who also believes the government, the Red Cross, and OOO might very well also be fakes and scams.

But all this only in case there was any doubt. Perhaps I missed the sarcasm. :)

It's not a scam. If it were a scam, the admins would have figured it out and tossed this forum away. Even if it were a scam, you'd only loose 5 dollars, it's not that much of a loss. But the bright side, those 5 dollars aren't going to be a part of some scam. So until you start believing this guy, every time you get thirsty, make a puddle in your back yard, scoop up water with your hands, and that's your drink for the day. Now, due to the lifestyle we're all used to, we'd picture that to be H-e-double Hockey stick. But for the people suffering, that's their every day life. This is not a scam, because even if it was, he's given out some information of his Youtube and we all know his IGN, so he'd be receiving constant messages for this. So, stop commenting on this forum for being a scam, and comment on it for it's actual purpose, Charity!

Since I was awake + alert to this + not busy, I watched it. I always try to watch these things, but most often fail. The stream was alright. Definitely was a good time. None of them really have The Karasma, but it was for a cause and they're all interesting enough to watch. If I wasn't so incredibly poor I would certainly have donated.

The Asian dude (Latisan, I believe) was ok looking, but he could definitely use some meat on his bones and perhaps broader shoulders. If that happened, he'd be pretty hawt. Was a bit too young too. Could definitely age some. Sadly, I was unable to find facecams of the others, so I can't comment on how good looking/not they were.
