[Aesthetic] - More "Body Modifications"

More "Body Mod" type aesthetics. Idle, Idle Random, and Walking!
Since my other thread for "being dead but being awesome about it, and coming back too" was rather liked, here's some more ideas:
In addition to the below, have certain commands temporarily change your knight's eyes for about 1 second to certain relevant eyes. For example, "staring into the distance" would give you dot eyes, saluting would give you "Determined" eyes, "waving" would give you "cheeky" eyes, /happy, "happy" eyes, and so on. I predict /command spam will sky rocket into infinity as a result of this, at least for a while. I would use these at Vanaduke's throne room, you know that area where you can look at your knight dead on before getting on the button to fight him? yeah, adorable.
Other commands, such as Bow, and Flex, need appropriate default animations. Also, can we have some dance moves? I'm tired of just having urges!
Obviously, combining certain idles with certain travels/randoms would look a bit odd, like Psychic with Gymnast.
And also obviously, these have no effects on actual combat statistics.
Like other body modifiers, these would come in mirrored lockboxes (and a new promo to push them into the market, featuring mirrored boxes, plx).
==Idle Animations: Constant========================================================================
These are temporarily overridden by AH/Trade/Steam Overlay etc. "data analysis" pose, the ZZZZ pose from being AFK too long, and whatever Random Idle defaults + the one you choose. These behave normally - if you've not moved for over a second, then your knight starts doing these.
Of course, beds/seats/sitting are not affected.
These behaviors can be overridden by a new "/default" command, which causes your knight to stop "messing around" and go into the standard pose for serious role-playing situations/conversations - this lasts until you use the command again, relog, or enter a new area.
1) Feral Idle
your back is arched, and your hands constantly move around in front of you, as if you're searching hidden scents for information. Your head constantly sways slightly horizontally (back and forth) - if you've ever had pet rats, you'll know exactly what I mean. Snakes and other things do this too.
2) Carefree Idle
Your knight appears to be constantly giggling at something, with both hands up over its mouth area. (Pair this with sad eyes to get interesting, contradictory results).
3) Gymnast Idle
Constant stretches of various body parts.
4) Brawn Idle
Your knight stands around with its arms crossed over its chest, and with its back straight.
5) Weary Idle
Your knight is slumped over, depressed, head hanging down.
6) Honorable Idle
Your knight stands straight and tall, with chin up, and right hand over their heart.
7) Psychic Idle
Your knight levitates, legs sorta crossed (soles of feet touching), hands touching as open palms in front of the chest. Slight vertical bobbing.
8) Wraith Idle
Your knight holds absolutely, perfectly still. No blinking. Confuse people about lag/disconnecting with this. (This even overrides accessories such as cat tails, dragon wings, vog cub coat glowing, and so on). If you move, then stop moving, you can choose different positions to freeze your accessories in. This is the only idle that overrides the idle random defaults. Your knight won't even show ZZZZ if you AFK.
9) Fraidy Idle
Your knight constantly shakes, like that one very scared knight in many scenario rooms.
EDIT: Miss-Matryoshka's Idea: Impatient Idle: Constantly looks impatient, feet tapping, arms crossed, head looking around.
==Idle Animations: Random====================================================================
Inconsistent, random (can command with new /commands). Choose one of these to be added in to the random idles already extant: Our knights occasionally look around and sort of roll their shoulders/sigh by default. Let's have some more:
1) Feral Idle Random
Occasionally, your knight will appear to "sniff" the air.
2) Carefree Idle Random
Your knight occasionally twirls in place, like a ballerina.
3) Gymnast Idle Random
Occasionally, your knight will put their hands up into the air and stretch, as if hugging all of Cradle. Then suddenly, BACKFLIP! WOW!
4) Brawn Idle Random
Occasionally, your knight will flex their arms, as if showing off muscle.
5) Weary Idle Random
Occasionally, a puff of air comes out of your knight's face, as if your knight is letting out a deep sigh. (Similar to Steam Knight Mask, but not audible).
6) Honorable Idle Random
Occasionally your knight will kneel and appear to be remembering their promises/oaths.
7) Psychic Idle Random
Occasionally your knight will put both hands up to their head, a single twinkle aura spark will occur (where an eye of fury would be), and then the hands will slowly return to the idle behavior.
8) Wraith Idle Random
Occasionally your knight will disappear entirely (name and all) like a recon, then reappear after about 3 seconds. If you happen to move during this animation, then the cloak breaks normally. This is incredibly different in feel from the Mask Battle Sprite's Cloak ability - there will be no confusion. But the idea is very similar! Are you a ghost? A Ninja? A Recon? You decide!
9) Fraidy Idle Random
Your knight occasionally gets far too scared of a shadow, and jumps.
EDIT: Miss-Matryoshka's Idea: Impatient Idle Random: stares angrily/intensely at the sky/player (perhaps breaking the 4th wall).
==Walking Animations=============================================================================
These are a bit more complicated, with the way SK has knights move. Basically, I think you'd have to be out of combat for at least 3 seconds, and moving in the same direction within a certain parameter of angle changes (as well as the speed at which you change the angle) for at least one second. Like if I were to move west for a long time, then suddenly change to north, the animation would stop, but if I were to curve north, then the animation would keep going. You'd probably be able to maintain the animation running around the haven fountain, with practice. Some of these might also look quite silly with MSI or MSD in the field.
We might also have to have the weapons be stowed away, and the shield be put on the back. These instantly get pulled out when damaged, or if you stop walking, or if you turn too sharply.
1) Feral Travel
You get on all fours and lope, like a Charr in guild wars 2. Just picture this with salamander/wolver, so cute!
2) Carefree Travel
You skip/twirl around. La la la.
3) Gymnast Travel
Your knight does cartwheels, summersaults, etc.
4) Brawn Travel
Your knight appears to jog.
5) Weary Travel
Your feet drag, and your arms swing loosely, and your back is slumped. Pair with MSI and Authentic Frankenzom Mask to look like a scary zombie, or with MSD to look like a regular zombie.
6) Honorable Travel
Your knight appears to march. Similar to Brawn, but more stiff.
7) Psychic Travel
Your knight sits cross-legged and seems to levitate everywhere, picture Yoda on his little hover chair thing. But no chair.
8) Wraith Travel
Your knight appears to blink in and out of existence every 7 steps or so (for one second), becoming briefly translucent - this is prismatic (also, your knight's feet make no noises when you walk, nor do you leave dust puffs behind).
9) Frady Travel
your knight walks with their arms hugging themselves, constantly looking around. You exude sweat marks every few steps (like the effect everyone gets when a Grimalkin gets too close).
EDIT: Miss-Matryoshka's Idea: Impatient Travel: A "huff and puff" sort of jog-march, jerky movements, occasional air puffs once every 7 steps.
==And extra Special: Hidden Commands==================================================================
These would basically be like permanent confetti "body modifications." They would be exceptionally rare (like in the 5% or less slot), and a knight would only be able to use the command at most 3x within a 5 minute block to prevent annoying spam. It would be /Confetti, /Rage Caller, and so on. You get to choose one, like any body mod. I would go after bloo large firework. I lyke bloo.
Also: confetti-like: the command /kiss will have a hidden command effect like the above (choose one, this one, or one of the others) - barf a flying love puppy heart out (again, no combat effect, just aesthetics).
===============================================================================================
Eyes - Contact Lenses. These allow you to change your eye color, and maintain personal color for everything else! Available in all color styles, and also black/white/grey - and even completely invisible (scary with hoods. Very scary).
===============================================================================================
Note: these animations are largely ones that execute without weapons, so having the bomb/gun vs. sword out would not make a difference (the default [idle constant] has you sorta bobbing back and forth on your left/right feet with sword, and sorta breathing+standing straight with bombs/guns). If your knight has any of the non-default modifications, you will stow your weapon and shield most of the time, only bringing it out instantly when commanded to attack/shield/bash or when you take damage (or even when you turn too sharply) in the field.
===============================================================================================
Katherine-Dragon's ideas: Battle Sprites should have more variability as well!
Drakon
Idle: knight sits and lays head back on Drakon (both on ground)
Idle random: knight tosses power food up to Drakon to snatch and eat
Walking: knight drops power food as a trail and Drakon eats it up (think hansel and gretel)
Seraphynx
Idle: knight sits cross legged with snoozing sera on lap and pets it
Idle random: knight reaches up and scratches sera's chin/behind the ear
Walking: knight and sera do chat motions and laugh motions (not sure here)
Maskeraith
Idle: Wraith draws poison-colored tictactoe board in midair and plays against knight (does darts sound better?)
Idle random: knight puts random hat on wraith (cowboy, fedora, etc) that pops and disappears after a while
Walking: Wraith fades out and reappears on knight's shoulder then flies around.
===============================================================================================
Sonosuke's Idea: Some Random Idles to be added (all part of a dance group):
Sono Idle: Slightly leaning forward, hands just hanging there, slowly swaying side to side. Legs slightly further apart in Haven than normal, and same as Default in Clockworks, Lockdown, etc.
Sono Random A: Sneeze, then rub nose before returning to Idle.
Sono Random B: Checks several parts of the body for something unusual.
Sono Random C: Deeply inhale, chest sticking out, then exhale and return to Idle.
Sono Random D: Looks at forearm as if checking time.
Sono Random E: Bobs head as if listening to music, then stops and looks around cautiously before returning to Idle.
Sono Walk: Same as Default, except arms sort of flail behind like they aren't being controlled.
Sono Sleep: Same as Default, head occasionally bobbing up as if trying to stay awake.
Sono Dance: Part of this dance, about 0:19-0:30.
===============================================================================================
Tatsuya-Katsu's ideas:
-Warrior idle- Your knight impales his sword into the ground and leans against it
-Sharpshooter idle- Your knight spins his gun around and passes it from hand to hand
-Marksman idle- Your knight Points his gun forward and acts like hes lining up a shot
-Bomber idle- Your knight juggles his bombs
-Grenadier idle- Your knight spins his bomb on his hand like a basketball
(These would all be tier 4/5 Cobalt weaponry, like blast bombs and blaster)
-Shieldbearer idle- Your knight throws his shield in the air and catches it then twirls and throws it up again
-The Cleaner- Your knight begins polishing his weapons
-The dentist- the knight begins flossing his non-existing teeth, includes shiny shines shining from mouth area
-Fire dancer- your knight begins- okay yeah we all know what a fire dancer is just imagine that
-Magician idle- your knight creates sparkles fire from his hands
-Rubiks cube idle- self explanatory, although we could say its a knights cube and have it feature the monster icons on its faces (the slime icon, beast icon, fiend icon, etc)
===============================================================================================
Of course, shielding would be normal.
How might these affect the Dash? Hmm...
As always, post your ideas too.
I would choose: Feral Idle Random, Psychic Idle, and Feral Travel.

yes I also do not have a happy face when my threads go gently into that good night.
Would you divide the gymnast into A and B, for cartwheels/somersaults, or just have it all random as one Gymnast Travel?

I quite like this idea! But, I do have to ask the same question as Blazzberry; how do think these items ought to be distributed? Personally, my suggestion would be either through an iron or mirrored lock box, or perhaps they could even be given their own lock boxes?
Also, I was thinking of having an "Impatient" variant of these idles/random idles/travels would be neat. For the Impatient idle, your knight would cross their arms and tap their foot impatiently, as if waiting for something or someone. As for the Impatient Idle Random, perhaps your knight could break the fourth wall and glare towards the game's camera while sighing angrily, therefore making it seem like the knight is upset with the player. And finally, for the travel animation, Impatient Travel could have your knight sprint while keeping their head down slightly and their arms close to their sides as they sway back and forth. Thoughts on this?
As for my choices from the ones you suggested, I would choose, Brawn Idle, Weary Idle Random, and Brawn Travel.

right I forgot to mention, like the other thread - mirror lockbox. Some of the more basic ones, like "Fraidy", would be avail from Vatel (and obviously the defaults).

Sorry I don't. Elaborate? Battle Sprites? FSC sprites? And relation to OP?

I'm pretty sure Black eyes wouldn't work, as Black eyes on a blackened face wouldn't exactly stand out.
I like the ideas though. :3

I like the idea of changing idle animations, but some of these seem to be going beyond what really needs to be done.
I like the idea of idle animations having something extra thrown into the mix, but altering a knight's entire movement is sort of... Well, it would cause a bit of confusion. In PvE maybe not, but in lockdown I don't think having a wolver clone dance towards me then poke me with a fork would let my brain stay in one piece.
I would recommend adding random extra animations into the standard running stance. Maybe something like an occasional skip/hop, an occasional strong stomp, maybe a few steps on all fours, but mostly to regain balance. Idle animations can be anything really - even when holding a weapon we can have a few extra idle animations, such as looking at our weapon, or lowering the weapon for a bit to look at our battle sprite before regaining the standard stance.
TL;DR: Add random animations into the walk cycle, and allow us to add new animations to a list of random animation cycles. (Idle/Walking/Battle stance)
Also, just in case this hasn't been mentioned yet, would we buy one of these and switch freely as we can gear (would make most sense IMO. Have a section dedicated to animations and come up with a clever name like "movement/knight mods". We could even move height and eye modifiers here. Once bound, you can switch freely, and maybe even allow us to unbind items for a large energy sum) or would it work like a standard usable item? I would prefer the switch freely option as it allows for a better flow with the animations.

@Fangel: Switching freely is a great idea, but one that takes a long time to be implemented by the devs, considering the way current modifiers work...and how long it took to get accessory recovery tickets etc. But yes! That is a good idea. Sorry to let you know, though, your brain is already in bits due to being attacked by a wolver with a fork. Physically. Perhaps have the default movement in lockdown override whatever modifier a player has in place? Then again, having variability in lockdown would be...rather desired IMO. *giggles at what the gunner update is gonna do to lockdown.* Even color is a part of strategy in some games...brighter colors = you can see me in the dark, and so on...
omg we need blind lockdown! lights out! "LIGHTS OUT LOCKDOWN!" map! you can only see players' eyes, glowing acc, weapon attacks, Class forms (guardian shield/flags/striker backpack+ trails etc) and the capture points...it's an otherwise completely open flat field of blackness (perhaps dim grey grid-like patterns could be seen in the floor) the borders are outlined by tron-like light...the Locker Room area is lit normally...okay off topic. You wanna feel like tron on the grid on a motorcycle? Striker in "LIGHTS OUT LOCKDOWN!" YEAH. Minus the solid barrier formation...
@Playerman: Yeah, the point is to not stand out for black eyes. I wanna be creepy sometimes! Just picture a player with no eyes in a hood...staring at you in haven...with the wraith modifiers...yeah...eek.
@Katherine-Dragon: Thanks, added to post.

A tron-inspired PvP game would be great. Modify the striker boost and go crazy!

I mean, it's just unnecessary to have both Black and Invisible eyes. Just thought I'd point it out. :P

not exactly. Some personal colors slightly alter that um...spandex? kinda underarmor material that covers the face for several helms. Preview different colors at Vatel (let's say, for the cobalt helm) and you'll see what I mean. I'm a supporter of "all options for all people" and floating everyone's boats in a crowded sea of opinions. So, someone might want absolutely no eyes, or just really dark "dilated" eyes, and so on. Just picture black eyes with yellow color vs. no eyes, ya? Very different. As far as "why not just do dark purple/blue?" Boats, dangit. BOATS.

I think I have ideas for animations of my own. Also, looking through the game's files (aka SpiralSpy) shows that there are 5 random idle animations.
I know OOO would never be willing to animate this, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Hurray! Dancing! Put them in the main post as a dance group set. I'd love to have actual Dance commands.../Dance Disco, /Dance Sono, /Dance Break...

I was also thinking of maybe duet dances, like the Tango. Of course, you'd need the second player, your "partner" as they'd be called, to agree. For example:
/tango Dracora-Speaking
(message only Dracora can see) Sonosuke would like to dance with you.
/tangoaccept
*starts dancing*
or
/tangodeny
*no dance*

I just want to use the feral travel and lope up and down the rows in the Plateau...there's not much to look at besides my little knight!
@Tatsuya-Katsu thanks, added! Love the idles with the weapons, that's awesome.

Almost forgot my votes. I feel as though they only look at the small things in the forums.
Always watching your threads from the shadows with a smile on my face. However it goes away when half the time your good threads go unnoticed.
More character customization should be welcomed with o_en arms as at this _oint, its much much better than re_ainted costumes. But my question is how can this be given to _layers? As a _romo with unfair chance or just lockboxes? Either way some of these will be high _riced(some of the wraith actions imo). But I sincerely ho_e this thread is actually considered to the game devs as for something else to try.
My choices would be
1.)Carefree idle
2.)Wraith idle random
3.)Gymnast travel
