Before I begin throwing random ideas at you of sprites, i have an idea of how to introduce them into the game. Obviously you can't go willy nilly and just throw sprites into the game out of nowhere because the idea behind sprites is that their environment adapted them into what they are, they don't just become random things like a drakon or a maskeraith. So my thought is that a Man vs. Wild type knight could show up every once in a while at haven to offer very difficult quests and sell empty sprite pods that cost 2000 energy (to limit a frenzy of sprite catching and abandonment of the 3 originals). At the end of each quest a certain sprite will be available to keep as your own if you have an empty sprite pod. This way it offers a challenge to all those super bored end gamers and adds new, curious battle sprites into the game. Once you get the sprite you earn a module that tells a nice story about the sprite. Anyway, that's just my thought. The limitations would probably make players believe that the new sprites are better, but I do not want that to be the case. I don't think the future for battle sprites is to make them better, but make new ones that offer different ranges of abilities. Now onto my battle sprites.
(I have concept art but they're sketches on paper and I have no idea how to get them onto a computer, much less the internet)
Mysticore (iron/golden/dark) - largely based off the mythological creature the manticore, the Mysticore is a military-themed, green furball with a scorpion tail. It's eyes are usually closed due to it's extremely concentrated state of mind. This allows it to tap into the ancient magic it uses in battle. The Mysticore is a Battle Sprite that embodies ancient magic. Its skills focus on deteriorating enemies with ailments.

(just for anyone who was wondering, my thought is to have the lion behave as a wolver, the scorpion to behave as a chromalisk, and the bat to behave as a greaver all dealing the harness alignment)
Xenoseer (iron/dark/crystal) - the Xenoseer is a cool-themed glowing mass, whose only outstanding features are its two stone hands and the stone slab that acts as its face. the size of the blast in smaller but causes much more damage

Ultimate 2: Permafrost Earthquake (Spinosaurus Back)

Like I said earlier, I didn't plan on trying to make these sprites sounds over powered or better than the 3 starters for that matter. All i want is to have sprites that cover different bases. I also don't want to make to just make sprites. I see situations where certain abilities could be useful, and that it what i based my build of the sprites on. Lets focus on the ability part of sprites. If you want to collect animals you should play pokemon, not SK. A better way to view them is as 3 piece skill sets for knights. (I do think that visuals should be important to an extent just not where players are posting "i wanna see a shark or a gorilla", something pretty much irrelevant and not thinking of the skill set. That's what reskins are for and this isn't a reskin suggestion post.) If you have an idea to change their skills in some way, feel free to pitch in.
Another topic is favored food. Of course we all want some way to integrate that 1000 valestone and moonstone we have sitting around. So maybe the Mysticore could eat valestone and the Xenoseer can eat moonstone, but the problem with that is that 1 of the sprites has to overlap a mineral with an already existing sprite which bring the value of that market up of that food more than the other 4 (unless of course they eat the same material but not the same food. ex: Earth Stars and Power Stars are both made from crimsonite). The other possibility is that all 3 share a mineral with an existing sprite and valestone/moonstone remains useless (other than the fact that they reduce the spawn rate of the other 3).
