Hello people. I have a few ideas which i thought to be good, i ll just leave it here to see how people react to it. It will definitely bump into something that was already suggested before (I dont know which, but it will)
Because this game was designed to be simple and easy: the pressure the mobs will ever cause you can not force you to stress out (unless you have lag, new players or simply play for fun without proper skill or tactic). So i think devs should add these into the arcade:
-Increase the size of the levels, increase the number of mobs in each battle, and increase the size of any area that combat occurs (make battle rooms larger, cause fighting 5 trojans inside a tiny room is impossible). I dont mind if the level will cost like 30-60 mins, increase the rate of combat (just please adjust the average loot like about 1000cr/10 mins or somewhere around that). However, pls make the distance betweens room shorter. Yes, bigger maps, more action but less moving from one room to another, bigger battle rooms, but also more mobs.
-Please give more puzzles, lots of puzzle, and more dangerous, complicated, coop puzzles, timing puzzles, quick puzzle ... place puzzles into anywhere combats are not involved, mix combat with puzzle, anything .... Also please dont forget the reward for those puzzle (lots of boxes are good, crown is good, secrets level is even better). It does not matter if players know about secret, does not matter if secrets in levels become an expectation, just make it so hard and so rewarding (give a lot boxes, not good and happy feeling of achieving) that people will have a hard time finding them.
-In any part that are not battle scene or puzzle, turn it into a field of fire full of status traps, mortal from sky constantly rain down, while lots of obtacle stand in the way. That is like remaking the whole game, isnt it ?
-Since the level will last for so long, people can never finish a level on time ? add this new feature: Allow a knights to camp ! Basically, just a save and quit feature, the next day you log into the same character and start from where you left yesterday (not from ready room, right into the level). Of course this is only available if you reach a certain area (a safe zone) in a level, cause you know, no one wants to sleep under rain of mortal. That way people will take days before they can reach the core, but that's more like a real journey to a core of a a planet.
*note carefully that these changes were meant for arcade (and maybe for all levels of game), not Shadow lairs or Danger missions I'm talking about. I think danger missions and Shadow Lairs are okay the way they are (but it's cool if someone think they are too easy and want to add more challenge)
Seems like if devs ever gonna make these, then Spiralknights will be turned into a different game, or just the same game but more extreme. But to me, spiralknights exists in a simple and unique concept (which wont be mentioned here), so i guess implementing these changes will do no harm to the game. But it will takes really long for sure.
this would be good as a difficulty setting. except the 30-60 mins per level. a normal level right now is 10 mins, switching to 30 is way too much.
and the game is simple and easy, but making everything harder isn't the way to appeal to everyone.
