The only way I can see them bringing back the old shards is if they cut the range in HALF. There's no reason a bomb should have more range than pretty much any gun in the game, and I think that's why they changed it to begin with. center-bombing actually took skill.

By the looks of it, players really want shards bombs buffed. As a matter of fact players even want the older Shard Bombs re-introduced to Spiral Knights. See OOO? Just shows players want the old Shard Bombs again! After two years players still care about that bomb.
