[Aesthetic] - Tortodrone Event stuff for Guild Halls

I got my inner toddler to make this.. It's a big image of all the stuff I'd like to see. Basically, if you've been playing lately, you've seen it all. It's an annoyingly chaotic large image that I made for fun. Don't load if you don't feel like it.

To summarize desires:

"March of the Tortodrones" furniture - like the Almire stuff, we have some opposition. Almire had "charred" and "restored," this will have "serene" and "corrupted." Except the items will not always be the same thing corrupted/restored (like we don't have corrupted trees etc.). Just the general feel.

-Add a new Tranquil Theme and Serene Environment to halls. Theme would be very expensive, as it would essentially turn your entire hall into a Tranquil Snipe Garden, with all the serene tranquility and none of the Monomi-ish statues or snipes (unless you buy snipe furniture and put them in your hall of course). The walls would be that wonderful cream color, rounded corners...with the 3D climbingwall square textures...grassy floor...Serene Environment would just add a lot of wind to the hall.

-Alternative to the above "Tranquil Theme" and "Serene Environment" - "Suspicious Theme" and "Corrupted Environment." Hello, your hall now looks like the fiend cities we see in Devilish Drudgery. Environment would be like spooky, but not as dark, and a little more suspicious, but mostly obviously corrupted.

-Add a craftable Tortodrone trophy to Armero's station that needs lots of shells. Older players should have something to work on - many of us already have all the items. You want us to keep playing, and potentially help new players get their torto stuff, right OOO? Give us a big long grind to work on, on the side - it's aesthetic, so we shouldn't feel obligated, it would just be nice.

Two different ones:
Stage 1: 1x1 arms (corrupted or serene)
Stage 2: 2x2 shell (corrupted or serene)
Stage 3: big honkin 3x3 replica of torto (corrupted or serene)

I've suggested some of this stuff before, and seen others do the same, but I have never posted with total focus on the Guild Hall until now. I am wondering why we didn't have the Ancient Prize Box this time (cause of budding? we've had 2 boxes at once before! nyeh!) so here's stuff to compensate for this event's...lack of more things. I suspect they're working on something huge based on recolor content and recent mission updates, I figure putting aesthetics they've already pretty much made into boxes for us wouldn't be a huge problem?

I love the idea of having a calm guildhall full of foliage, waterfall, and ancient slabs.

A solo tortodrone statue would be simply epic.

Congrats!

@Dracora-Speaking:

Congratulations on a job well done putting the screenshots and suggestions together. Everything was pretty clear and well formatted. I have to say i agree completely with your suggestion. It would be an awesome alteration for a guild hall to have.

Though i would also have to say, sense these things are for guild halls and not just scenery on a mission, i think having them do some new effects would be a nice touch. I like special guildhall items that have an extra touch of flavor to them like the cat tome where when you aproach the book, it summons a white cat monster in the guild hall for a limited amount of time.

So why not have the purple crystals grow, or the tortodrone statue do an animation when trying to sleep on it like it moves wit's shoulders a little bit then rest. Something to attract us more to them and them not just be items from their original look. This way, it would be like collecting new trinkets then getting things that are already in game. It's extra work for the developers i know, but nothing great is created with no work and good effort. WEll that is my idea, what do you think?

More interaction would be great, I like that a lot! I think moving tortodrone statues would scare a lot of people (in the good way).

A suggestion: interacting with some of the Corrupted (fiendish, whatever) furniture elicits a trumpet noise (identical to the sounds devilites make). Same with serene furniture, a lot of extra wind, perhaps a distant tortodrone roar, as if your knight put their ear up to the rock or something.

I am happy that people like this suggestion.

Great

@Dracora-Speaking:

Great idea! Having the tortodrones move around would not be bad and would instead be surprising. Also, I was thinking it's kind of a separate topic. What do you think of having npc's spiral knights moving around the guild hall where they would have some of the core guild hall functions on them when you interact with them. Like having an npc spiral knight accountant that gives you straight access to the guild hall's record of who donated and who was online the latest to the oldest. This way you do not have to always go to the central root to access that information. Another npc could be the officer of arrangement where you could gain access to arranging the furniture around the guild if you have the appropriate rank. The more features you unlock the more npc's would be summoned to move/patrol around the guild like in haven. This way the guild will feel more full even in big guilds that have a lot of players, but not frequently online players.

I also like your idea about the noises, i love them. Would be great if we could summon a modified look fiend boss to the guild with on of those fiend tortodrone furniture.

Your NPC suggestion is quite interesting and somewhat reminds me of Terriaria. I think it deserves its own thread. Personally I do not like NPCs in places I consider to be my "house" in games, but many people do. I know I'd let Brinks wander our hall any time, I constantly buy token items from him. For this particular NPC it would make sense for him to wander, he travels around to find his stuff and whatnot!

thanks

Thanks Dracora-Speaking. I was thinking of doing exactly that and making a new thread for that whole idea, but i see another thread has started about that so i will just post it under that thread. Overall, your idea is fantastic and will be a shame if OOO doesn't take advantage for next tortodrone event.
