I'd like the option to completely hide the HUD - mapped to a key command of course. This key should be able to be changed by players in "options." I mean it - this would completely hide everything (big portrait, squad info, map, hp, shield bar, chat box, everything!) and allow us to take better comprehensive screenshots and challenge ourselves - relying on the color of our shield bubbles as they get hit and that red haze around the screen (which I normally have toggled off, but might turn on if I play HUDless) to determine whether to fight or flee. I normally collapse all the menus I can with those awesome little arrows (bottom corners and the one on the right side of screen). More of these arrows for personalized HUD would be good (for the other things that don't have hidey arrows, like the chat), in addition to absolute "no HUD." Please give us complete control over this <3. I can make a pic if people are interested.
I'd also like to have the option to hotkey the large minimap transparency, and if the gate map is ever done, that too. EDIT: you can totally hotkey the large minimap transparency, its default is "B." Thanks for that Fangel. Tbh I did scan for it, but it's easy to miss these things when the darn options list isn't alphabetical.
I've seen similar suggestions before (especially right after the UI update years back disliking the giant portrait), but not many have come up for a while (one did recently that I saw regarding the portrait, haha), and fewer still mention mapping the stuff to keyboard commands - which should always stay optional, I love SK partially because it is NOT a complicated spreadsheet game, but the option would be nice. This post has too many parenthesis.
I like your post but i had nothing much to add besides i agree. I think every post should have a viewing counter showing how many people viewed the post that way even if there is not a reply, the viewing counter will show if it is getting attention like YouTube videos. Anyway, back to your post, yeah, i would love this feature for photo shooting some good screenshots.
