Catalyzer Detonation Changes

Catalyzer's been a weapon I've liked just because of the interesting mechanic behind the weapon's shots. While I do like the weapon and it is fun to use, there is one glaring problem with the weapon. The weapon is very ill-suited for bringing into groups of other players that do not have a catalyzer themselves (which is rather often). It's biggest problem is when monsters die, the charges stacked onto a monster when it disappears just vanish, making it entirely pointless to use aside from larger mobs or when nobody's piling on their Brandish charges all on an enemy at once.

What I was thinking was, what if the charges automatically detonate upon a monster's death? Sure it would become more chaotic and monsters would be flung everywhere, but the best side is those charges no longer just vanish and become worthless if a monster does happen to die. This could help out by creating more synergy in groups, and could result in combinations that could help out in doing more damage to groups of monsters.

interesting.

Either that, or a sort of gravitation to the next-closest monster like the Quill ultimate.
Kinda like a homing bomb that self-detonates upon contact with an enemy.

Flat out detonating would work better than gravitation, less room for bugs, no timing changes, and more direct effects

Also OOO wouldn't put time into an entirely new mechanic (its not like maskeraith quills at all)

i like that Suggestion because it would reach the core of catalyzers: synergy with other weapons.

And if this Change gets added then it would work with both: the current cata mechanic and the old cata mechanic (just in case it ever gets switched back)

Please make catas competeable with other guns again.
