Dark Harvest "Festival" event

This event is like having an actual real life festival, some stands for merching will be available, giveaways is a must of course, a break from PK hunting is necessary once in awhile. Of course there has to be some incentive for this so I'm willing to share the wealth with participants of this event, but overall it's just another get together "have fun and chill" event to bring everyone together. Everyone is invited whether you're in the Guild Alliance or not but they will receive special bonuses for being a part of this. ^^.

As part of the alliance, the host me of "Wish Feather" will provide any and all services to help each guild expand in however they need to while also creating custom events specifically to help engage players participate as well as win prizes :).

Earn Energy by Donating Pictures for the Wiki

The problem with the wiki as you all know is the missing image files regarding the subject it's on. This can be fixed by uploading a close up of the item in a screenshot regarding the subject it's on. I have been around the SK wiki enough to handle that aspect, just the screenshots is what I need. So I created a system where the only thing players have to do is take a screenshot of the item/monster that is needed and sent them to me via either discord or imgur, or my email.

I will be distributing 50 energy for every image you send me- which can add up quite quickly. There is a total of 20K energy to be distributed for a total of 400 wiki images.

Alliance Distribution

I will start transferring the benefits of joining (ie getting crowns for upkeep, energy, and more members if so needed) Anything at all I will be happy to assist in, just contact me to request however much you need as long as it's within the limit. Every one of the guilds will receive a 5k cr limit per week, this may change in the future but for now this is all I can with this many members in the alliance.

About the Alliance

Many of you may know me by now, either by my obsession to run against the fountain or by my youtube vids for SK. What I'm about to say is serious and not something I'm just pulling out of my barrel belly.

Over the last few months I've been very attentive to how the game has progressed and well, I've seen a lot and I think it's time to add to that progression.. While we can't do anything game changing wise I do have something in mind.

Wish Feather, my own guild, will be hosting an alliance of guilds. This alliance is for the benefit of the guilds and their members individually, as well as for all activity going on within Spiral Knights.---#makeskgreatagain

We'll be hosting events for the guilds that have joined as well as lending assistance to any guild in need of growing/Paying Upkeep/Having active members/etc. I'll be the one communicating to all GMs and its guildmembers about everything that will go on in the future, even have a chatroom set up to stay connected outside of game (but not necessary). All announcements will be made all around platforms like Zone chat, Forum post, Wish Feather's guild wiki page, etc. Even on my youtube channel

Think of this as an update from the devs, except community based :)

Just contact me, in-game name Solotron, or Blazer-Of-Troy. All guilds are welcomed no matter how small or big. We will talk a bit more before going through the steps to make it official.

Hi all. This is a really important thing that solo made. Also, a few of you might have seen me around haven looking for Guild masters. Im looking at you [No naming and shaming] all logging off on me. You know who you are.

What do I really have to do with the Guild Alliance? Well, I helped find some of the guilds. That's something. I actually just returned from a long hiatus from the game, saw Solotron in haven, re-added him, and later he asked if I was a guild master of Love Tiramisu. Then he told me about the alliance, and than I started finding Guild Masters to join.

This is not recruitment to any of the guilds. This does not belong in Guild Recruitment... except for the fact that we are recruiting well... guilds. For the sake of making as Solo quoted by an anonymous individual #MakeSKGreatAgain.

At the moment, just Guild Masters are putting their guilds in the alliance (with a few exceptions)

Sorry if you are a member, but direct your GMs to us.

Shoot Solo or me a mail in game, and we will add you to the Alliance.

Solo also does plan on doing various events for the guilds in the alliance, and well...

I look forward to seeing your guild!

@Bopp: The Guild Alliance is basically to build a network between guilds and GMs so we can all together grow more activity not just to the individual guilds but to the game as well. The goal is to have ourselves get more involved with the community as well as introducing new players a new way to enter the game.

Hello there!

I may not be able to play Spiral Knights anymore, but I always try to catch up with the community. I must say, I love this! This is great! I love how you are all trying to get the community together and making alliances. Maybe some tournaments can be played? :)

I hope this idea will reach out to everyone. As is it unknown how long SK will last, it is for the best to make the game the best for ourselves while it lasts. I really should start with those drawings I said I would do...

This is a good thing!

While I admit I fell out of playing this game a while back (looking at you forge update), it still holds a special place for me as one of the first games I dedicated most of my time to. Do I regret it? No, and I never will. This game is still my absolute favorite, hands down.

With the making the Guild Alliance I hope to see more people on at any given time, making it fun and enjoyable for everyone. While it would break my heart to see this game go, I'm not about to sit on my rear and wait for impending doom. I'm gonna play this game until the servers go down, and I hope that I won't be the only one logged on when the final count down plays.

Nice Idea of the Alliance!

I've been doing something similar in terms of keeping things active via events withing my own guild back since Dauntless days, though nobody seemed to want to work together in terms of other guilds.
It was always rivalries, and trying to steal the best players for their own guilds ya know? I'm really glad to see you @Solotron and some other's working to actually help knights come together.
Mmorpg's are community based and it's important to have some sort of synchronisation right?

I suggest we get some guild events started, i'd like to get some content for YouTube haha. Whether it be guild clockworks races where each guild selects a team or two to run a certain gate or mission for prizes. Or something totally luck related like guessing and trivia games like there are a lot of options we can do.

It'd be fun to NOT be limited by like the 15 people we have online at a time during peak, and have like 60 people combined from different guilds where we can pool our events and choose participants from! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING LIKE THE OPTIONS WOULD BE SO VAST K *breathes inhaler*

Of course i don't wanna come in and steal the thunder, it's your post. Me, Lords-Bro, Rog-Monsta, Blishtar, and Shady-The-Monsta (The Gm's of Pwnographic) Are down to partner up and have some fun in this dying game haha.

I LOVE IT.

Might want to give some info on which chatting software to use. Discord? RaidCall? Steam? or only Zone?
When there are more alliance guilds, it is expected that we will have members around the globe (I am in Australia right now and my active guildmates are mostly from Hong Kong. And there is another member who is from US). In this case, external communication programs would be the best way to contact the members. We constantly use communication programs so why not?
Do we want to have multiple communication programs, or just one?

Also, are there anything we should do as a guild master? Frequent participation of custom events? Regular crown donation to Wish Feather? Daily response requirement?

Good start but when will take action?

And I believe clarifying the benefits should be done as there are quite a lot of people who are a bit confused.

(Off Topic) @Solotron, Analog or Operator Synth, and any other instrument preferences for a fan-made soundtrack?

So far we have one chatting software (ask about in game, not gonna post it on the forum cause its a secret), although it would be good to set more up.

Nothing you yourself should do, other than sign up. Solo is doing this out of the goodness of his heart (and his love of the game).

Personally, I myself am helping Solo because I want to, although the other guild masters need not do anything. He's also helping directing knights to

various guilds (or so he says...) to get a bunch on all the time in different guilds.

Hiya Updates!

Heylo my fellow knights, players, alliances of all sizes. It's been officially a week since the Alliance has been born. Now for some quick things I wanna let out to the public.

1. Q&A, are now being shown for any questions regarding this whole ordeal

2. Recruitment, we have reached over 20 guilds in this alliance so "YESH", We're still looking for guilds who wish to join too c:

3. Events, what I am planning is something for the next event that logically should be coming next. "Dark Harvest Festival". I figured why not have our first move be made where most players would be coming online at least on the first day.

4. Discord, Guild Alliance now has a Discord channel. I have currently most of the guild masters in it so discussion will proceed momentarily as the event approaches.

Until then, I will continue to update the community throughout the week when something new comes up. Grey Havens I'm counting on ya too!

Discord for all!

I think we should make a discord for everyone in the membership, and let it be a little more advertised in the game. Like, we could make a discord server where any guild member who wants to discord and farm or just have someone to chill with when you log into the game.
I think that'd be a great idea, as a little get together that's occuring all the time.

But I just don't think its very popular, because its not really known that there IS a discord channel. The reason I wanted a discord between the guild alliance is because it could be easily advertised by putting it in the MOTD (Message of the Day appearing on everyone's chat when they are in a guild)

I don't know whether [the discord channels are] still functioning.

I can attest that the one Krakob set up is still running fine. Just the other day we added emojis to it since you can now add up to 50 custom emojis per server.
Here's a screenshot I captured the other day of our moderation channel as I was making some of the emojis. Had to test the two sizes of them, so I was more or less flooding the channel with this sort of thing.

So we do have a discord channel right now but just like Grey Havens we're settling first before getting ready for it to be open.

I saw the announcement and am intrigued about it. I will do my best to have it all advertised about it on my channel and this forum page when everything is ready. The guild Alliance will be doing our best to do interesting events along with Grey Haven's updates to further give a better experience for guilds and players alike.

I'd like to suggest a game for the Alliance. It's something Schizo did in one of our smaller parties.

The Stratum Race (name pending)

Basically, we get at least 2 Masters from different guilds in a race through a voted-on boss stratum (They'll have to be in the Discord voice chat, though they can leave their mic muted). Once the stratum is chosen, the Masters get three available alliance members who aren't Masters themselves and head to the Arcade stratum. When every team is ready to go (three teammates on the lift with the Master waiting next to it) one person in the voice chat will sound the alarm for the Masters to get on the lift and start the race.

Rules:

Each participating Master puts 5k cr into a pool (the race host), which is then given to the winner for their guild. The more teams, the higher the reward.
A racer cannot be of the same guild as the race host. They'll have access to the "Enter Guild Hall" button that would be unavailable to racers who aren't in the host guild.
Each depth must be fully cleared before going to the next. This means every prize box and mineral tower is broken, but does not count regular destructable blocks. Exceptions to the full-clear rule are:
• Path choosing that blocks one way
• Energy Gates
• Event-specific Rooms
• Arena rooms 2 and 3
• The Rocket Puppy room
You cannot replace party members mid-run. If a member leaves, that's one less person in your group.
Every member from the end of the run must be at the guild hall the race was hosted at in order to win.
