[Interactive] Toxic Trap
Here is the Map.
Green areas are gassed. We both have gas masks(Frost picked up a new one) so it's safe to walk through.
Our location is at the elevator. We need to get to the other side of those blue doors so we can move west.
However, there are a few problems.
-Red Doors cannot be opened if the area is gassed. They will automatically close if the gas comes in.
-Orange Blips are proximity mines. Shooting them will take out the floor, so we should just disarm them by bringing in the gas. You cannot pick them up off the floor, so leave them alone.
-Blue Areas are control panels. They can disable the gas or put it back. They all have control over the Blue, Red, Yellow, and Purple sectors.
-Frost will not help you with the puzzle. She'll just be analyzing the gas until you get to the other side of the blue doors.
Figure out how to solve the puzzle.
Go through the red door, open the blue doors, then activate the gas, which will take out the proximity mines and allow you to go west! (Not sure if it works)
The blue doors can't be opened from that side.
In that case..... Go to the blue control area, vent the gas in the yellow and red areas, and gas the purple area. Then go around clockwise to the red door in the red area, go through it, and open the blue doors. Then, move back to the blue control center, and gas the blue area which will disable the mines allowing you to pass.
Puzzle Solved!
After solving the relatively easy puzzle, Jeff opened the blue doors, and had Frost follow him to the next section.
"I just finished analyzing the gas. Not only does it have poison and EMP properties, it can also put a person to sleep." Frost concluded.
"Is it flammable?" Jeff asked.
Frost shook her head. "No, it's not. I'll send the data to HQ."
"Okay, I'll call Irving." Jeff raised his hand to contact his friend, but then Frost interrupted him.
"You mean Irvin?" She said with a slightly annoyed look.
Jeff put his hand down. "Err, yeah. That's his real name... How did you get it?"
"Because some other person told me that he has a crush on me. Does he have a crush on me?"
>"Why are you asking me this?"
>"Yes."
>"No."
>"I don't know."
"Yup." Jeff said blankly.
Frost stopped looking at him. "I'll remember you said that."
Jeff contacted Irving this time. "Hey Irving."
"Mmrf, yeah?"
Sounds like those Pocky sticks Irving keeps eating.
"You're eating Pocky, aren't you?"
"...What's it to you?"
"Look, I don't care. I'm sending you some information concerning the poison gas."
"Woah, really? It only took about... 11 hours to get that information."
"Had some... Technical difficulties."
"Okay Jeff, you are cleared to round up your team and leave to go to Haven."
"I've been separated from my team."
"Great... I thought those 4v4 Lockdown matches were supposed to make you a better leader."
"Irving, shut up. Can you locate my allies or not?"
"Nope, you're on your own on this."
Irvin was heard eating another Pocky stick.
Jeff sighed. "Damnit, Nick is lost and Alex is who knows where."
What's the plan now...
"I think it was this way, captain." There was a voice in the distance.
"This better be the right way, I'm getting tired of walking around here." Sounded like a gremlin.
"Control panel is here, cap. I'm turning on the gas."
Jeff put his gas mask on as soon as he heard that. Frost followed by also putting on a gas mask.
>Sneak
>Hide
>Attack
I know I said two thing but actually sneak
This is going to be a long day...
-Several minutes ago, Time [17:44]-
Alex was sitting in the control booth of Depth 22, because Jeff randomly disappeared after jumping across the chasm. Now Alex was just resting with her feet on the dashboard, listening to a nice song on her Music Player. With headphones.
"Emergency broadcast! Someone respond!"
A knight was calling on her frequency.
Alex sat upright and took her headphones off. "Uhh... crap, how do I use this again?" She took her a radio and activated it. "Hello, this is the..."
>112th Squad
>113th Squad
>114th Squad
>115th Squad
(Wrong Answer.)
"This is the 115th Squad answering at Depth 22." Alex said, casually spinning around on the swivel chair.
"Roger. We found a control console in the area and we were able to disable the gas somewhere around here. Can you investigate the place and try to find us?"
"Sure, whatever." Alex yawned and got up off her chair. She checked her radar. The area was clear of gas.
Where should I start now?
Radar
Alexandra - 100%
Welding Carbine
Silent Nightblade
Hacker Device
Where to start?
Alex opened the gate with her hacking device, and moved two steps forward.
Hm? What's this?
She crouched to pick up something she stepped on. A key.
It says... 14A, what is that supposed to mean?
Obtained Gold Key '14A'.
What to do now?
Open ended decisions with no enemies to stab or smack in the face?
uhhhh, open the gold gate with that gold key!
Edit: Offices are cool
Open the office
Which one?
Left section, or Bottom Office? The gate on the right was already opened by Jeff earlier.
uhhhh, open the gold gate with that gold key!
YES THE LOGIC OF THAT. B-)
and also a office??? i confuzed
also plz I need options! I cant think with my brain!!! 0_0
(at least not with the amount of homework that involves actule brain power)
Alex walked to the 'office' and was about to insert a key into the lock, but then she heard some strange sound...
*Beep- beep- beep...*
Sounds like... Mines... Better leave the door closed.
Alex tried unlocking the other door. And it worked just fine.
She leisurely walked down the path, whistling a tune.
"Hey... Who's whistling?" A voice in the distance said.
"Me." Alex answered.
"Who?"
"Me, of the 115th Squad."
"Oh thank vog, please get us outta here. There's a barricade and we can't get past it!"
"What barrica- oh." Alex stopped, seeing a gate with many metal plates welded onto it.
Okay, this should be easy. What can I use?
>Grenade Launcher
>Pristine Wine
>Hacking Tool
>Remote Bomb
but I think a Remote Bomb would be better because those don't miss/bounce around...
(Lim, you don't appear much so I'll pick your choice!)
"Alright, I got a remote bomb. Stand back." Alex said.
Now some girl's voice responded. "Why do you have a remote bomb?"
Alex shrugged. "It's infiltration equipment. I dunno." He slapped the explosive on the wall and armed it. Then stepped back a good distance. "Fire in the hole!"
*BOOOOM*
The gate was absolutely obliterated, with bits of metal flying everywhere. Some of them hit Alex because she was just standing still.
Ow, that stings!
Alex lost 16.7% Vitality.
A recon ranger wearing a gunslinger hat stepped out of the dust. "Ah reckon you got us a way outta here?"
"Uhh, yeah. But there's a teeny, tiny problem." Alex said a little nervously.
Another recon ranger came up to Alex. "It's not a tiny problem, is it?"
Thanks... You really know how to talk to a girl.
Alex dusted herself off. "Well, no. It's not. You see, the only way out as of right now is the elevator, but... There are mines attached to the rails."
"So what?" The cowboy said. "Just shoot 'em."
"I don't think that's a good idea. They'll probably destroy the elevator rails." His comrade stated. "I mean, why would a guy place mines on them if they weren't gonna work?"
"We're still stuck here, then? Jussst great." The cowboy scowled and walked back to where he came from.
Alex followed. There was another recon ranger; she was a redhead, relaxing by a campfire. "I'm Clyde, that's Victoria." The cowboy said.
"And I'm Yeller." The 2nd recon ranger said.
And then there was a generic knight sleeping on a mat. "Hey... Is that... Nicky? Hey Nick! Wake up you lazy dumbell!" Alex ran over to Nick and started shaking him. He didn't react.
"What's the matter with him? Hey Nick, wake up!"
"We found him somewhere outside our camp." Vicky said. "He looked like he had some serious foot burn."
>"But he was with me earlier!"
>"How does foot burn knock someone out?"
>"You guys are useless."
whats foot burn?
also option number three just sounds rude.
You guys are us- not a good idea?
Fine, I'll go with the second one since I don't know what foot burn is either.
Foot Burn is the baking of a person's feet, probably while they're sleeping.
Alternatively, it is probably the equivalent of walking through a desert barefoot during an Indian Summer.
But for Nick's case, his boots are a little burnt.
Asaleth, if you don't know what foot Burn is then why are you going for option 2?
I chose the option related to it since it would give the most information about what it was????
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"How does foot burn knock someone out?" Alex asked. "He just got his feet burned, not a concussion."
Yeller shrugged. "I dunno, maybe it could've been like an explosion or something."
"This is getting ridiculous." Alex got a little frustrated now. "Do you guys have anything that can fix him up?"
"Nope." Vicky replied. "We're the Recon Rangers, we're good at not getting hit."
Alex squinted. "And you found zero pills in the numerous hours that you were stuck down here."
Clyde walked up to Alex and pointed a finger in her face angrily. "Listen here, missy. You should stop acting like a kid and get yer head straight, we got more important things to do."
"Like what, exactly? We've been squatting here for half a day." Yeller asked, resting himself against a crate.
"We should regroup with the rest of the Recon Rangers." Vicky suggested.
"Whatever you say." Alex said.
Vicky pulled out a Recon Module and activated it. There was a list on it. "These are the Recon Rangers that should currency be in action in Depths 21-23. There were 20 of us at first, but 8 of the rangers were either killed or they left. So now there's 12 of us left."
Recon Rangers 12/20
Frost A.
Vicky B.
Percy B.
Aliyah C.
Soren G.
F. Lambard
Yeller P.
Kelly R.
Derek S.
Clyde T.
Evan W.
Teddy Z.

i say report deaths then see map
(if both are possible)
"Your list is a lil' outdated, there." Alex says, reading the names over. "Four of these people are dead."
Vicky's eyed widened... Somewhat. "What? How do you know that?"
"Saw it on some camera footage in the other area." Alex rubbed her chin. "Now let's see..."
Label 4 people who died in the security footage, or skip this segment.
If you can't figure out 4 names then you can just progress the story with the answers being filled out for you.
oh. ok
i honestly am lazy but if anybody wants to take a go...
“Let me think… Derek, Lambard, Soren, and Frost were all killed on video.” Alex said.
Clyde frowned. “What? How’d they ah’ll die?”
“They were all killed by a sniper or something. He looked like a knight.”
“A knight?” Yeller asked.
Alex shrugged. “That’s what I said. Now then… I think we should search for the remaining survivors, so it’ll make you less likely to die.”
Vicky crossed her arms and relaxed herself on a crate. “Thanks for the advice, captain obvious.”
“You’ll get used to it, since i’m part of the elite infiltration squad, i’ll be making the orders from here on out until someone else is able to take over.” Alex said assertively.
“You gotta be kidding me. Since when are you the leader of us?” Yeller asked.
“When I said I was.” Alex cracked her knuckles and pulled out her recon module. “Now… let’s review the situation.”

what doe team status mean?
also where is everybody else?
(Team Status analyzes the weapons and vitality of all party members.)
This is the map of the area.
As you can see, the North section has poison gas in it.
Red Doors cannot be opened when they are enveloped in this gas.
Blue Doors can only be opened by completing something. Like hitting a switch.
I'm sure you've encountered the area in the bottom left, right?
Cyan Doors can be opened any day of the week.
Cyan Markers have a special function. The one in the bottom left can disperse some gas, but it won't work for the top area. The ones on the left can probably open a blue door or two.
Our position is on the bottom right area.
Anything else?
wait... are there cyan doors? or a i seeing things?
any way, smack both cyan markers and see what happens.
yee
"Alright, now I'll take some of you with me. At least one of you should try behind to make sure nothing ridiculously bad happens to Nick here." Alex said.
Yeller sighed. "Again, who put you in charge?"

Clyde has the highest possible health.
Yeller has slightly less health than Clyde.
Victoria has as much health as Yeller.
Alexandra slightly less health than Yeller.
Alexandra is armed with a Silent Nightblade and a Welding Carbine. Additionally, she has a hacking tool.
Clyde is armed with a Gilded Griffin and a Raptor.
He has a Southern Accent.
Yeller is armed with a Kilowatt Pulsar and a Tempered Calibur.
Victoria dual wields Blazebrands.
Alexandra needs to find an alternative exit out of the area. She can bring one or two allies to help her, leaving the rest to protect the unconscious Nick.
Bring who?
bring Clyde and Victoria they can beat the crap out of stuff and get to the other faster. Yeller seems best equipt to defend somebody.
"Alright. Clyde, Vicky. You're coming with me. Yeller..." Alex pointed at Yeller for her last order. "I dunno, don't die or something."
Yeller's eyes narrowed. "Don't die... thanks."
Alex, Clyde, and Vicky ran to the west area, finding a familiar area. They walked up the only passage they could go through, moving to the top switch.
That's strange... no gun puppies here.
Alex started shushing her team as soon as she saw something suspicious. "Sh sh, hold on."
There were two gremlins and a lumber in front of them. The squad hid behind some boxes.
Clyde's revolvers aren't gonna work against that walking tree. We should take them out, quietly.
Alexandra - 83%
>Axe Kick (???)
>Slide Strike (???)
Clyde - 87.5%
>Dual Unload (???)
>Flashbang (???)
Victoria - 85.7%
>Brandish (???)
>Leg Strike (???)
We should be able to take them all out stealthily, don't want to risk any trouble, because we don't have any healing on us.
Pick a move from each party member, then pick a target.
Slide strike the first gremlin, flashbang the Lumber to distract it, and use the Brandish on the first gremlin as well.
(Wonder how this will go)
After some repetitive whispering, the plan was finally set in motion. Alex would quickly hit the left gremlin with a slide strike, Clyde would flashbang the lumber and then Vicky would hit the first gremlin again with a brandish move.
Here we go...
Alex quickly dashed forward, shifting the weight on her legs and moving into a slide, knocking the gremlin off his feet. Quickly, she plunged her katana into the gremlin's neck while he was downed and cut his throat open.
Clyde threw a flashbang grenade, which disoriented the lumber and the other gremlin.
Vicky, who lost her initial target, let loose her double charge attack on the lumber, damaging it greatly with two fire waves. It was still standing.
The lumber raised it's hammer-arm to attack, and the gremlin is trying to flee!
"Hey! That guy is gonna alert everyone to our presence!" Vicky said.
Alex growled slightly. "As if ya didn't alert them yourself with yer voice."

*pew!* Frost plugged him, just like that.
Jeff didn't really seem that surprised, he had his armed crossed and that was it. "I thought you said you were gonna fix him."
"I fixed him. He was gonna die anyway." Frost gave Jeff his pistol back, who concealed it under his equipment.
"Wrong frequency, Cadence. Change it."
Again with the random transmissions. But the director was the one speaking now.Jeff activated his earpiece.
"I can hear you."
"So you can, boy."
The director responded, hardly fazed."I told you to leave and you're still meddling about."
Jeff scoffed.
"The hell I will. The last thing we need is for you to spread that toxic gas all over Haven and kill us all."
-beep-
He hung up on him.Wow, what a jerk. I hope he realizes that i'm gonna find him soon.
"What should we do now?" Frost asked.
Jeff looked at his radar. The map looked kind of ridiculous. It had landmines, powered gates, and gas all over it. "I'm sure I can come up with a solution to this..."
>Do the Puzzle.
>Skip the Puzzle.
(Btw Frost will kill the gremlin if you choose the Mercy option.)
