Pets and Jobs
What about a pet? You could buy a kit with parts or use a recipe to make a pet that would help you in the dungeon e.g. healing you or helping attack or collect minerals/materials. Upgradeable with items to give new abilities/elements.
A job would also be nice e.g. Pest Exterminator(monster killer!) have levels plagued with a monster and you have to kill a certain amount to pass and get paid in crowns.
PLZ post any ideas for jobs or pets!!
Pets Powers:
Heal:
Pets heals owner but then must recharge for a time period that grows the more health bars restored
Attack:
Pet attacks enemies (Attack changes depending on Pet). Can only attack the enemy the player is attacking
Block:
Pet acts as a shield except they block autamaticly but like shield they can only block a couple of moves until they 'break' and have to recharge until they can block again.
Collect:
Pet collects drops, money and can carry another crystal so you can earn more when you deposit them into gates.
Seek/Warn:
Pets alerts you to nearby treasures, strong enemies/ danger rooms and the lift. It does this by either moving and flashing green (treasure) red (monster) blue (Lift)
Plz comment readers and then the game makers might introduce pets to the game

The current job system sounds more like a glorified danger room.

Heal: OOO said only health pads + hearts would heal.
Attack: Perhaps, but the damage must be low in order to compensate.
Block: So it would be an extionsin to you shield duration, basically? May work.
Collect: You would be unable to tell it which mineral to collect in order to balance out any possible abuses of the system.
Seek/Warn: I have no idea how this would work. All I know is that this would be useful for only people on a dungeon they haven't been to before. After only going to a dungeon once, most people would be able to get a 'feel' for the place.
How could you abuse the collect system? Everything is shared or randomized in the party system.

Frick. Sorry. Didn't think that one out fully. Guess that means the collect pet is in! But, what anout the other pets?

Uhh... no. That wouldn't work.
Also it's been clearly stated that OOO are not gonna implement healing.
As for the jobs, I don't know... Instead, they could make danger rooms more interesting somehow... either by quests or by achievements, maybe?

Yeah the pets stuff was more of a get every idea down and then ask what people thought
I think pet capturing tool instead of packs would be better but i dont really know how it would work
But onto jobs I think that the title system would be cool but after reading what people have said I see that the arena style rounds battling isnt preffrable but does anyone else have a suggestion pls it would be very helpful
Do people evan want a job system I think it will encourage players to play more knowing at the end of the week the will be paid a nice sum of
monsters killed x Job level
This extra sum would only benifit players but if you dont want a job system pls tell us why

The job system you mentioned does sound like an arena room, but maybe if SEGA decided to use ur idea, they would spice it up a bit differently. I like the idea of side jobs instead of energy-eatting dungeons.
The pets seem like a cute idea but just for a fashion aspect. Mecha Knights seem to do fine as partners but they die easy and you can't get them back. Collect is a non-important feature since things are like magnets, but maybe a system where you could build Mecha Knights of all kinds
I think mecha knights could work if they functioned better.
I dont know bout any one else but i rarley use them because of thier unnreliability and most of the time you have to use energy to gain acces to them.
But with a complete regig they could work out they would though have to be of all different kinds like mabey the types of Atacks (Normal, Piercing, ELemental, Shadow) or the have special effects like Freeze, Poison etc
OH & I hate it when the Mecha Knights a rendered usless by shock
The collect ability I meant for it to help the speed of the game so instead of trying to collect stuff when your slaying a ton of monsters the pet goes and collects for you so you dont have to worry

what would be good if a pet could blind enemies by jumping on them?

But that would require creating a whole new effect status for the enemies, as well as the animations.

this isnt maple story. u should rely on your skill... not your pets abilities
Thats great idea if pets cant permanently die. Only die like players. If they will be like mecha knights they will be a bit waste of money.
If the pet idea was introduces, then these "lines could be used to classify pets
Lion: atacks or prouls about attacking enemies
Horse: Increases run speed(only briefly or only a little bit)
Hedgehog: Acts as a spike turret

if u ask me the pet should be tamed monsters and you can choose to keep them or give them to a collector (higher tier monster more money gained) but if u choose to keep the monster as a pet it turns miniature (half size) and becomes tame (it doesn't fight it just follows you around) except for some monsters (ie: gun puppies Trojans lumbers) which change form to (the gun puppies will look like stone dogs and the trojans would look young stone horses lumbers i cant really think of any thing for)
for the jobs id think it would be like defeat 12 tojans 50 slags for #####cr or beat 3 Snarborlax 1 Royal Jelly 1 pair of Roaramulous Twins and 1 Vanaduke (3 T1, 2 T2 and 1 T3)

It aint Wow son.I think pets will ruin the game by making it lag 10x worse than the lag is already now.Dude its just a 4-5 month game.Do you expect they will have that much updates?Pets are too cheap if you got a pet who can do damage and heal you that makes the fun of JK gone.And ruin the games fun of finding secret rooms or what ever.

Jobs could work like this:
Player pay an entry fee
Player versus rounds of monsters starting from easy to hard & in increasing numbers
The higher in the rounds the higher the player gets paid in the game
e.g Player gets through 5 rounds :Kills 50 monsters that week = Pay of 250 crowns
Job Titles:
The higher a player goes in the rounds changes the title of their Job
e.g 1st round Aprentice Exterminator Tier 1
2nd round Aprentice Exterminator Tier 2
3rd round Aprentice Exterminator Tier 3
4th round Novice Exterminator Tier 1 etc....
