How?
Just a few quick questions:
First, how do I make a new page? I noticed some folks have a profile page dedicated to their own personal knights and I thought I'd make one for mine as well.
Second, is there some kind of software that makes editing easier? Whenever I hit edit, I'm given this weird window with lots of computer mumbo-jumbo that I can't figure out. So is there a free-ware program out there to make this look more like a word page? I've never edited a wiki page so this is my biggest problem.
Next, how do I use pictures from my computer? I have some I'd want to use but I'm not sure how to upload them.
Lastly, can you lock a page? As I said before, I want to create a profile page outlining my knight's characteristics and maybe have a portrait and some shots from battles I've been in. However, I don't want some nut coming in a destroying my page and making my character look like a dork or something. So again, can I lock a page or is there somewhere else I can and should post a profile page?

1. Once you've logged onto the Wiki, you'll see a series of links on the top-right corner - one of those links is your name. Simply clicking on your username will allow you to create a Wikipage of your own, wee!
2. Really? The Wiki is really simple for me, just a text box. Try playing around with your Wiki settings (under "my preferences").
3. On the left side of the Wiki, you see a toolbar of links. Scroll down to the third section and look for "upload file".
4. For your reason, no, your userpage cannot be locked. BUT, if some nut comes in and wrecks your userpage, they get in trouble by our lovely Wiki administrator, Equinox! They get a warning for vandalizing a page - repeated offenses mean a ban from editing the Wiki. Luckily, we haven't had many people banned from editing the Wiki :)

Also for #4, the wiki records every single edit. So not only will I be able to see who has been naughty or nice, we can use the article's history to restore things that have been vandalized. That said, the wiki editors are more likely to be in the nice camp rather than the naughty one!

Changes only show when logged in.
Having a strange problem, I made a user page and a guild page and edited it a couple times. But my latest edits are only being shown to me. And only when I'm logged in. When I log out it reverts back to a previous version, but still shows the edited source when "view source" is clicked. Asked a friend to check the links and he sees the previous version also.

You can try loading the page with ?action=purge added to the URL in the address bar. This should purge the cached page on the server. Also make sure you purge your own browser cache. (Press ctrl+R in firefox to force a "hard" refresh of the page).

It's part of the wiki issues.
It's part of the wiki issues. Trias, with the wiki issues, purge does not work.
You just have to wait it out. Generally if you hit edit and use preview, it will show you the latest version. That doesn't always work though.

Alternatively, you can try using <br style="clear: both" /> to force a new line after your picture.
You might want to manipulate the position of your "Table Of Contents" by using __TOC__ , {{TOC right}} or {{TOC left}} if you are doing this.

Bombing guidey things....
Eh, well apparently the bombing guide page is getting kind of large, and takes longer to load (tried it on a wireless connection and it took 10s to figure itself out). What can I do to reduce loading time? I could put the tactics sections in spoiler style tabs... but i don't know how that'll effect the page =/ it'd work because I'm sure some player would like to work the tactics out themselves instead of reading a wall of text. Any suggestions?

I don't think spoiler tags will do anything for load times. The traditional wiki measure for dealing with long pages is splitting of content to new (sub)pages and using templates for navigation.

Show/hide sections won't work
Show/hide sections won't work because your browser still loads all of that content, it's just loading it and hiding it rather than showing it outright (that's why the page does not do additional loading when you click on "show"). The only thing that can make a page shorter is to split it up into more than one page. Text generally isn't too slow though, how many images are on that page? Removing images is the other thing that would help speed loading.

Nope, the wiki software automatically records all your edits publicly, just like you use your account to post on the forum. User pages need to be under the username you use to edit the wiki. You could try making a dummy account just to use for editing the wiki if you really wanted a separate named account.

You didn't need the type line in the template. I removed it. Just use the red link now to upload a .png of your guild logo. Also, whenever you need help with a specific page, paste the link to the page so we can easily take a look to help you out.

.jpg is not the same as .png.
.jpg is not the same as .png. Try saving it as a .png (Save as... should have a PNG option in most image editors) and then uploading.

Moving pages out of User Page
Hello
I have been using my User Page to create pages for events sponsored by my guild. How do I delete redirected info from my User Page without deleting content to the moved page? I can't seem to delete or edit content from my User Page without affecting the moved page.

Go to your user page and it
Go to your user page and it will automatically redirect you to the new location. You now need to click on the teeny little link under the title (new page name) where it says (Redirected from User:Iceni). That will take you to your user page without it automatically redirecting and you should be able to edit it there to remove the redirect just fine.

I don't know that there is an ETA for Steam users being able to edit the wiki. You can make a separate web account with the name Mightyputty and edit that user page, yes. Other Steam users that want to edit the wiki without waiting have taken the same route.

I'd fix it myself, but could someone tell/show me how to revert a series of edits all at once? I don't know how to and it could help me revert edits from derp vandals like that guy >.>
EDIT: Since I'm still kind of a wiki-noob, is there a "tutorial" of sorts that shows how to move pages, undo moves/multiple edits and such? I've done a little googling and can't find one for what I'm trying to learn since most seem to be for total beginners, which I believe I'm past :P, or experts, which looks like jibberish to me...
