wow if this is the only incentive they have for pvp you can already consider it dead.
a shiny crown might entice the 15 year olds to play but i really hope they add some rewards and depth to the combat system to make pvp entertaining.
the crown would be a great touch if the pvp was excellent, though. it would actually mean something if pvp was challenging.

I hope its not totally random with 5* equip going up against 1* equip.
Although, then how do you balance people with different star rating equip per items?
it also leave's out trinkets, weapon slots ect, ect..

The PvP mode being added now puts everyone into pre-set gear with instant-plant bombs. You battle Bomberman-style. (They're planning on adding more modes in the future.)

I for one, hope they bring
I for one, hope they bring back the tiered brawls of beta. those were somewhat fun to do when you ran out of energy. and required a completely different strategy than was needed for actual gate gameplay.

If you seriously think a shiny crown that can only be worn by a handful of players for a week is not incentive you've obviously never played a MMO. People have done far more insane things in the name of a title/shiny temporary item. It's a form of e-ahem waving.

i really dont think its quite the same thing as the jelly crown though. its just... a headpiece... that means nothing... im sure it will come down to a cumulative amount of points which someone will inevitably exploit.
