.............

I have soloed the JK stages for the Umpteenth time already....

I can beat each and every one of his stages COMPLETELY without dying...
I have fought the BEST fight I have EVER against JK last...

I STILL DIDN'T beat him!

I have a Dusker Cap, a Wolver coat, a Tempered Calibur, a Bristling buckler, and a shadowtech Alchemer (I don't use that on him). ALL FULLY heat levelled.

I attacked him 99.9% of the time with charge calibur attacks. I hit him with 3 curse Vials, each after the other wore off. I hit him with Shock vials. I had 2 health caps so I didn't die so easy, I had a Mecha Knight as well. I revived myself twice...I had a 8+ vitapod...

Each hit did 175 damage or so. Sometimes it would hit multiple times and I'd get like 300+ damage in in one hit. He'd heal around 38 health per 1.5 seconds...

WHY WOULDN'T HE DIE!?!?!?!? I hit him just about every 10 seconds or so! Give or take 5! HE just WON'T DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seriously need to see his health status SOMEWHERE. I just ran around, attacking relentlessly, wondering if I was even TICKLING the fat slob. HE JUST WON'T DIE!!!!!!!!!!!

...................................

Ok, rant over. Anyone got any ideas for me? I've been trying to solo him for-EVER! I can solo anything else within my reach EXCEPT HIM! I can do danger room, arenas, whole stratums, graveyards and whatnot. Just NOT HIM!

Is it my gear? My style? I really have no idea...

Poison vials are you friends

Remember to bring poison vials next time. Not only does it prevent him from healing, but it'll also weaken his defence, allowing you to do more damage. If you bring a weapon that can cause fire by its own, that is also great.

And before anyone else gets the chance to say it, the Vile Striker is amazing, but it's going to be expensive as crap to get.
I'm also not sure of your style. When I went soloing I had a Faust for curses, and it worked out amazingly. And I went charge-only.

Not entirely sure what the real problem here is, though. Hopefully someone else can provide a better input than I.

Appreciated anyway

My general style is a Hit-and-run. Charge calibur, run straight to him, hit him with it, gap it before they close back in on me. It works because the Calibur has enough knockback to send everyone flying away from me, leaving an open escape route. And does high damage.

So get Curse and poison instead of shock? I'll remember that...thanks.

Betcha he still won't die...dam 3* set is so hard to get...

Curse/poison/fire. If you

Curse/poison/fire.
If you cant get curse, bring shock
have atleast 3 hp pots, ^^
run out of spin when he turn red, it reset dots also, dont forget that.

Skip the robot totally. ^^

Open with fire poison curse (after a charge up, if it succeed)
Should only need to revive once if it goes bad

Interesting...

He. Mechas ARE pretty useless. I remember this one time we were in that grassy area on JK. I got a mech, and I died. Mech was on its own. Teammate named him frank. Frank got pwned by 3 Jellies and a Lumber. We were all already dead. Team reaction:

NOOOOOOOOOO! THEY KILLED FRANK! NOOOO! WE WILL AVENGE YOU!

Revive then kicked ass ^^

I always keep as many health caps on hand as possible. Just the vials I need to work on...

JK is tough to solo even in

JK is tough to solo even in 4* armor (bar the Chroma line) try heading back after you get a Dusker Coat.
Also, bring a vile striker, easy poison, one of the best weapons to use when fighting JK.

Jelly King has an insane health regen for a solo fight, especially considering your low * items.
Judging from what you said in the OP, he would have easily been able to heal off the damage you've dealt to him, it's best to just never stop attacking him.
It's an all out DPS match. Do more damage than he can heal.

(Or just run with a party. :>)

you need patience. the minute

you need patience. the minute you panic and start trying to slash him down is when you're gonna be spending ce on revives.

I used to do pretty badly on my first couple runs, but now i can sometimes get him into second stage without even taking a hit.

so far i only use curse and fire. poison as my last resort. don't get flustered when you mistime a charge attack (when he spinpushes you just as you unlesh).

second stage is quite easy actually. my charge did 155x3 and even though it took a while, i killed it without any posion. he actually killed himself when he spun into an exploding block rofl.

It's wierd though...

His healing counter only showed up as about 38 per sec MAX. I was doing damage clusters within the 250's. Even as I ran to hit the disappearing blocks, he was still in healing phase.

Not to boast, but I lasted pretty long. Considering my gear and all that, but beating him will still take a LOT from me. I'll stick to the Calibur line, cus I need all the knockback I can get. Once I get surrounded, it's game over. I got surrounded by 10+ mechs once. Nowhere to go, couldn't shieldbump, death was inevitable...

Comboing him constantly...perhaps after a successful charge hit. Then I need to get the *^& out of there ASAP. Otherwise crowds will destroy me...

The cutter line has virtually no knockback as far as I've seen, so Calibur is good for me.

Thanks for the advice anyway.

Since you can't attack him

Since you can't attack him while he spins, that's a decent time to spend a few seconds killing adds, assuming you know when/where he's going to end up (it's not too hard to tell once you've done it a few times.) If you're solo, the adds don't take much (generally two faust swings will clear a group for me), and they can drop hearts and other stuff if you find yourself in a pinch. Might not be the best option every time if you want to charge your calibur, but it can be a good idea occasionally if you find yourself swarmed a lot. I generally use Vile Striker/Faust on my JK runs so I don't charge and it's a fast switch.

Curse vials don't usually like to drop for me, but when they do I save them for the spinning phase unless I have several.

Remember, you don't have to constantly be damaging him. Like John said, don't panic. Particularly in solo, it helps to take a second to dodge/bump adds/reposition and the like.

Go get a Fang of Vog

Go get a Fang of Vog already!
Kidding.

What you should do is practice with another person, not rush to kill him yourself so soon. But if you are so determined to kill him, and by what you're saying... Keep trying. You should also get a Dusker coat... and a Horned Owlite shield.

My equipment has served me well...

I don't exactly panic. I mostly just get stressed because he doesn't even seem to be phased by my partial onslaught. I run, charge, back and attack. I take care to avoid being hit, often running to hit the blue bocks to clear room.

Anyway, I need to work on my game plan. Hopefully I'll get there eventually...

Perhaps I'll get him between the time I get a Dusker coat and/or my Twisted Targe...

Time will tell.

Thanks.

Use curse AFTER the first

Use curse AFTER the first time he's spinning. When he stops, run in and throw 1 at face range. As he spinning around, he's actually doing the work for you with the curse. Add fire if you desire. Use poison mainly on his first stage because with all the spinning, he won't heal much. It only takes 2 curses maximum during the 2nd stage even with a full party.

Easy way to solo, if you have it

Well i soloed that bugger too many times... recently i solo him in 30 secs tops...

Fang of vog
Vog cub armor
Vog cub cap
Crest of almire, swiftstrike buckler

Ignore the rest of the weapons

You only need the fang of vog... Charge attack on him for 450 plus damage x5 depending on your distance plus burn, dosent take a genius to figure out he wont last long against such damage

The vog cub armor is to prevent the fang of vog from biting back at you too much.. seeing how using the charge attack has a high chance to burn the enemy [normal attacks burn on any hit too] and..... you....

Why si everyone telling me to get all the super-class weapons when I thought it was fairly clear I'm stuck in T2? ^_-

Even if you mean I should raise enough cr to get it by cr, it'll take me MONTHS to get that much, all to blow it out on a weapon that'll kill me when I use it because I'm ill prepared with Fire-resist.

no easy way, just an easy boss :D

for me the fight isn't about gear, but have at least 4 star to make it easier, probably can do it 3 star or lower as with most things in this game if not all
(probably better to have at least a 4 star sword though, light not heavy)
it's all about potions and when to use em.
start off with poison, hit him with the longest combo you can, shield for his spin, but when you shield back up a bit, you want to not only block his attack but push adds away, gives you less of a chance of getting hit
should be able to push him to berserk if you don't stop, only need to worry about poison for now

if you know when he is going to berserk it is better, but if not just wait till he does and then stun, instead of full combos do two swings (or one, depending on sword) and curse before his next berserk, throw in poison when you have the chance

few things:
when stunning, make sure you use it right after the berserk, if you stun in the middle it will only prolong his next berserk, like a stunlock on the boss that only serves to ruin you (time is most important, faster the better)

potions should only come out after shield PUSH and berserks

miss a curse potion and lose the fight (not true but makes it a lot harder, those potions do a lot of damage when he gets angry)

if you feel up to it drop the health vials and grab fire or w/e you feel like for extra damage, faster the fight goes the less health you lose

Need at least 3* gear. 4* recommended.

It's your gear. Royal Jelly is the one fight in the game where gear > skill. You need at least a full 3* set to carry your weight in the fight. I know because I tried almost every 2* percing/normal defense gear on Royal Jelly. I've also battled it with people who were using 2* gear. The result is the same. You will get curb stomped if you go in with 2* gear.

Even with 3* gear you will die a lot and you will probably fail unless you have someone from T3 running with you. So I recommend at least full 4* defense/piercing gear before you take royal jelly on.

You will also need poison vials. If you don't have poison vials then turn back at red carpet runaround.

>:D well, guess I was lucky

>:D well, guess I was lucky after reading this topic, ran in with the wolver gear first time, and a defender.

Using a calibur, open with charged strike, and continued to slash all I could, used shieldknockback if the small ones gets to many and repoisitioning myself from a better view.

Tossing vials in melee, so if I get hit, it still hits him.
Spam attack, take a few hits myself, thou he starts to spin, thats when you move away, pop hp, charge up a spin, open it on him, 3xhits is lovely, continue to suicide slash, he spins, now toss a few more vials.

Heck, trying to take it easy is never going to work, if you cant keep poison at him.

Try to break those blocks that "remove" the other blocks, giving you some runspace to charge up on, if you can manage to charge up easily its probably worth it over 3 suicide slashes thou, but dont aim for it, its bound to fail most of the times.

Might toss in a video hm?
Honestly thou, JK is a bit of luck also, sometimes you can get boxed in so you cant shieldknockback adds.
He can start spin you right into a corner, etc etc.
