Guild Hall Customization

Hi guys, I have seen a post similar to this one before but it didn't include everything that i would have thought of. My idea is Guild hall customization. Basically it is a feature that lets the guild master have full control on what his/her guild hall looks like and (if the guild master enables it) officers can have a small ability which lets them place objects or change wallpaper/carpets. I'm going to write below what I think should be added to Spiral Knights in a future update, enjoy and feel free to suggest anything else you would like in the comments :)

Rooms
Rooms can be bought with a combination of mist energy and crowns(alternatively just with crystal energy at a lower amount of course). The price of each room will vary by size which the Guild master can choose from various preset sizes. After choosing the size, the guildmaster then chooses the function of the room so that you can only place items in that room that match it's function. Here are two examples of rooms and their functions Bedroom(sleeping), Sitting Room(resting, socialising) etc. Then the name of the room will be chosen. After all this is chosen, the guildmaster will be asked if they wish to customize the room at that time(can still be customized at a later date).

Dyes
Dyes can be crafted by taking coloured shards and mixing them with gel drops. These dyes can be use to change the colour of Armour, helmets or furniture. To dye an item, you must first purchase a dyeing machine. Dyes can also be used to craft paintings.

Furniture
Furniture can be traded, bought and crafted just like weapons and armour. Each piece of furiniture is for a specific room type i.e bed for bedroom. The furniture's colour can be changed by using dyes. There will also be animations for furniture by right clicking on them.

Décor
Décor consists of items from potted plants to (my favourite) pretty pictures. Some items of décor can be crafted while others must either be found in the clockworks or bought. Décor can be placed anywhere in a room and they are not room specified.

Appliances
There are a wide variety of appliances like crafting benches, dyeing machines and Temp Weapon Chargers.

Temp Weapon Chargers
This appliance allows you to temporarily super charge a weapon (in exchange for mist energy). By super charging a weapon, it increases it's star rating by one, increasing all of it's attributes. These charges however only last for 30 minutes.

That is all I can think of for now, as I said before, feel free to add anything else on but be mature, don't put anything like Invinsibility Baths or whatever, things that are reasonable... BYE!! :3

Halls are kind of empty

I don't know about "weapon super chargers" but there could certainly be more to do in the Guild halls. If nothing else, maybe add a private Colosseum area to each guild hall, where members can engage in no-entrance-fee, no-prize PVP against each other. Or perhaps make the alchemy machine in each guild hall capable of pooling the recipes and materials of more than one player currently in the hall, thus allowing higher-level players to help out newbies in their guild. If you really wanted to wow players, private training rooms could be accessible. These would be much like the advanced training hall, but more difficult and more focused on teamplay. Certainly these things would add incentive to being in a guild, but personally I don't see anything wrong with that. Of course, if you're worried allowing players to have activities in their guildhall would cut down too much on CE expenditures, you could make these Guild Hall improvements cost energy to activate for certain periods of time. X amount CE to rent Y guildhall improvement for Z amount of time.

This would be a big project to code, obviously, but I think if implemented the player feedback would be overwhelmingly positive.

No renting

I dont really like the sound of 'renting' a room with energy, i mean it takes energy for just about everything else, and it did take 500 to make the guild :/
I do like the sound of buying a room with a one off fee! And a private training room sounds cool! Or just like a party room in the clockworks, where you can just swing your sword and stuff to show other people. To be honest, what i REALLY want is a notice board! Somewhere where members can post events and stuff! Also, the guild hall should change with the amount of members you have. Like, under 10 its just the default, but as your guild grows it gets more fancy, gets bigger etc!

Agree.

Yeah, at the moment, guilds do almost nothing.

Not sure it needs to be full-fledged Pokemon RuSa Secret Hideout type thing, but some extra features justifying the 500CE would be nice.

Just so you know

When I said that things cost energy I was refering to Mist not Crystal :)
