Cannot spawn in Lockdown

My brotherwas playing pvp (I was watching), and for some reason, after he died, there was this red explosion with this black-nucleous thing that wouldn't dissapear. Once his spawn timer ran out, his character didn't even appear. He asked other people in the match, and the same thing happened to those on his team. Needless to say, he lost.

This sort of thing happened
This sort of thing happened to me once before although it was not accompanied by any difficulty in respawning. The red explosion animation occurred when somebody killed me with a polaris explosion (possibly a charged shot) and I assumed that that was the cause of the red explosion thing being there. I mostly assumed that because it looks very similar to the polaris explosion but is red.
Was this the case for either of you? Specifically DrLequack anyways since you were watching. FFNFlame, it might have happened in your game but just not to you, or maybe you might remember if you saw a teammate die this way.
I don't know why this was accompanied by a lack of respawn ability to either of you because in my game it didn't cause a problem but I hope this does get sorted out.

Had this happen to my entire
Had this happen to my entire team. Strangely didn't get the explosion thingy (Although I think one of my teammates did), but was stuck where I died for the rest of the match instead.

Indeed, this also happened to
Indeed, this also happened to some members of my team and myself. They also mentioned a strange purple glowing thing- though after I died, I wasn't even teleported back to base, and couldn't respawn.
That's odd, I was able to spawn when my timer ran out. However other teammates I had on my team couldn't.

In this example, this glitch seemed to occur when Mingus (for this example) was disconnected during the Lockdown Match. After he re-logged in, he claims to his game locking up/freezing during the match for some unknown reason.
I can't be too sure, maybe he lagged out? Either way, very strange.
