I've often been in the top 20 for playtime in Lockdown since it's started, and here's a few things that I think could make it better, more balanced, and more fun for everyone. Thanks for making a great game - I've spent more time in it than I ever have in the Clockworks.
Charge colors
Whenever I see someone all charged up, or even charging, I swing at them. I can't tell if they're on my team or not.
Weapons Changes
Particularily those that deal pure damage, and people undergeared. No changes in PvM, a "PvP damage/resistance bonus". I haven't ran the numbers, but something like this could be nice.
Pure (non-normal) high damage swords: -20% (swift flourish, barb thorn blade, etc)
Split high damage shadow damage swords: -10% (gran faust, nightblade, etc)
There seems to be enough equipment variety with Elemental & Pierce resists
Non-status inflicting guns: +10% bonus damage.
0/2/4 star weapons: +20% bonus damage.
Armor Changes
Extra bonuses disabled, like the Wolver line's for swords. This and the above might also make T3 feel less "pay to win", with folks thinking they need to spend $20 and buy a full wolf set & pierce/shadow sword for a chance. Will get people into more interesting equipment, and make the player role shields have a bigger impact.
0/2/4 star armors: +20% bonus resistance.
Auto Target
Coupled with Piercing swords this can be ridiculous. Other people have talked enough about it.
Balanced teams
There's about 50 players I love playing against in T1 & T2. The problem is, if all/most of us end up together it tends to be a 500-25 game - and the other team has no fun. I think using the strength of our equipment Loadouts to shuffle people into teams, or past stats if you keep a record, instead of randomly will make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Friend lists
I'd like it to be easier to play with friends without us telling each other the exact time a play again timer is done. Doesn't matter if we're on the same team or not. A "join next match" option, like joining a clockworks party?
"Waiting: #"
Would be nice if it only indicated people of our Tier & next match times. I find it hard to get into games (especially Tier1) at early hours if I didn't hit "Play Again" in a previous one, and yet it shows there's still a bunch of people waiting... On a related note, if I click Blast Network when shows "2 waiting, 4 playing".. then it says I'm delayed 30 seconds later... and still 10 minutes later... but still 4 people playing, why am I not put into the game they started? I thought FFA BN matches support up to 8 players.
Fillerup Rewards
People scream "FILL IT" at the start of a game, and leave when it's a reward they don't like. And if someone does fill it, and loses, there's nothing for them but a waste of ME/CE. Might be nice if any "Winner" reward was also given (or doubled on a win) to people who contribute at least 10 energy to bribing King Krogmo. I never fill it in Blast Network because I'm terrible at it. :)
I'd also like to see more variety for Lockdown. From my experiences it looks something like this:
40% - Extra coin for everyone
40% - Two coins for the winners
10% - Three coins for the winners
7.5% - Two extra coins for everyone
2% - Three extra coins for everyone
0.5% - Bombhead for winning team
Not very interesting if you don't really care about krogmo coins!
Improved Lag Hit Detection stuff
The players I have the most trouble fighting are from places like Australia and Switzerland. I prefer to think they're just amazingly good, but there might be more to it.
Leaver bonuses
Someone left your team at the start of the game? +100 points, less if there's still 4+ members left. Someone leaves later? The same thing, but scaled down over 5 minutes. IE: Leaver at 3 minutes left: nothing. Leaver at 6 minutes left: +60. I'd also like to see them penalized by not letting them join another lockdown game for 20 minutes, but that might get them to instead stand afk doing nothing or repeat suiciding.
Bombheads
Please make these tradeable again or something. I've only seen them pop up twice in Lockdown. Once, two people on my team already had it, so we somewhat intentionally lost the game. The other - game with no chance at all, due to team makeup. Darn you Mashyu & friends! :)
Otherwise, please take the ones we can buy with Krogmo Coins off the random chances. Same thing with Blast Network - I intentionally lost games there because I already had the two bombheads that came up from Sullivan.
More stuff at Sullivan
Mod calibrators let us sell our Krogmo Coins for profit, but most people will only ever want two/four of them. That market will eventually die. I think something unbound & consumable, like Trinket Slot upgrades (not them - just an example) would be a great addition. Maybe the rest of the bombheads too, at much higher prices, and something costing an insane number of coins to promote Krogmo Boosters and a long term goal.
Krogmo Boosters
Probably overpriced unless your intended customer is only people who want the hats & recipes, but don't have much time to play. I used to use these when I had insomnia & a free morning, but it'd take like 18 hours straight of Lockdown for them to pay for themselves with the current mod calibrator prices.

And lastly, I hope you guys think a lot about any changes you make to Lockdown. I really enjoy it as it is, but that feeling could easily be ruined. Maybe these suggestions would make it less fun for someone - and I hope anyone who hates them replies. Most people I knew who liked Blast Network no longer play it much. For myself and a few of them, it's because we no longer have a chance to pick up bonuses after we die, and that means we can't fight the people who spam 15 range bombs that aren't even on our screen. If we still try & die a lot, King Krogmo tells us we deserve no coin at the end. Adding something similar to Lockdown would make me stop playing.

or create a seperate version of lockdown, 1 where UVs & bonuses count for those with deep pockets, 1 where all UVs & bonuses just make you look pretty. One of the plus points for Blast Network while it was still alive was that it created a level playing field for all who signed up, minus lag spikes when the bomb ranges got huge.
Auto Target ~meh
Auto target helps, but it also hurts.. notice how easy it is to strafe around anyone who click spams attack with auto target on? Use when appropriate it can be devastating.
Balanced teams ~meh
While the current system is broken; it does suck to get stomped every few games.. it keeps the random element. Imagine if everyone were rated by gear / past games, it would be less likely to be on the same team as friends if they were always 1st & 2nd place on that ranking / gear system? Or the horrors of being paired up with that 1 knight in proto gear over & over again cause you are on the high end gearwise & that knight is on the low end gearwise *shivers*

currently double edged sword.. I can boost in, 3-shot someone standing still on a cap before they can go 'lolwut?', but I can also die mid boost 1-2 swords lengths away from the nearest swinger while trying to escape stuff.

afk-ers aside, from what I've experienced people that leave at start are those that couldn't enter a friend's game, which would be fixed by one of the above, all up for time penalty for rage quitters either way
