They uh kinda distracting instead of being nice decoration.
I think it's much better to just remove them on quicksilver mail line, jelly mail line, demo suit line, or any armors I forgot to mention.

I hate that thing. Poking

I hate that thing. Poking through every shield, it just looks glitchy (except for some, like swiftstrike, that appear *under* that barrel). Needs redesign.

An option to hide your shield

An option to hide your shield in haven should be enough to avoid clipping

This is just one of those

This is just one of those really simple things which are going to take a long time because OOO has other, more important, things to do.
That, and it seems as though its only youse guys which are bothered by it. Chances are that even if they do remove it, there will spring another group asking to bring back the Barrel.
In my opinion, it's too much of a hassle. Just learn to live with it.

P.S. It's distracting is not a good reason for changing something.

No, noone wants a buggy bag

No, noone wants a buggy bag barrel. It's a bug. As in: broken. Armor poking trough shield. No shield fitting to this armor. A whole, non optional category of equipment is not displayed correctly with every armor that has this thing.

Personally, I really like

Personally, I really like them as armour detailing and can live with it clipping through my shield in Haven (where I spend almost no time anyway).

Solution

These things should go away when equipping an accessory tailored for that specific part.

Or it can just be moved, not so much removed entirely.

Maybe make it a builtin

Maybe make it a builtin accessory and let us all override all builtin ones with custom ones. Or even remove them. I know many people would like to p.E. put another aura in their skolver, too, so that would solve many problems.

Being able to hide your shield would be nice to avoid my Snarby coat clipping. Then again it looks like hooks for placing my shield on :3

Instead give them the small bag that the Wolver line has

Remove it but add a free "back barrel" accessory (or maybe make it cost 500 crowns) to the Auction House.

By the way, I'm necroing this idea, but I'm contributing to it as well.

EDIT: OR make it a pre-attached accessory that we can remove at bechamel.

It clips?

What shields does that barrel actually clip through? I have the Mercurial Mail and I haven't got any shields that the barrel clips through.
Also, are you really this much of a cry baby to complain about this sort of thing?

How are you not aware of this?
ALL Shield clip through the barrel, with the smaller shields its the worst, you can't even see the shield under the barrel.
And why are you attacking the OP? There are plenty of people who dislike it visually, both here and on multiple other threads asking for it to be removed. Just because you don't give a crap, doesn't give you the right to insult others for disliking the ugliness of it.

Mercurial is worst since the spikes clip even more on the plate shields :p

I recommend to check your eyes with a doctor.

I kinda like the back barrel.

A pre-made accessory already attatched would be okay.

mehh

i can see where everyone's opinion is coming from... i personally looove the clunkiness of the demo suit, and that back barrel just adds to its bulkiness ^^

i propose that for a universal fix.. that kills about 3 birds with 1 stone, is make all demo/jelly suits have this back barrel as a pre-equipped back accessory. this fulfills:

-the desires of the people who want to kill it
-the desires of those who like it where it is
-the desires of people who want to be a mercurial jellly dragon

Sorry if my rudeness hurt your feelings.

Well I'm sorry that the back barrel does not clip through any of my shields. Also if it only clips through your shields in the Haven, then why don't you just remove your shield?
And why would they remove a part of the armour that makes it unique?
Meh, I guess everyone has opinions for different things.

Ah, you were thinking that it clips while your shield is OUT. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
