/EpicFail: The funny side of Spiral Knights
I'm going to try to make a comic-like series of scenes about SK that I will update whenever I feel like it, I won't promise something like 'regular' updates cause that will set me up for future disaster, these differ from my usual Spiral Spy scenes in their format and extra editing. I may try to post them in a strip form sometimes or will just put them up as a series of individual images.
If you have a suggestion, an actual funny tale, you can post them here or mail me in game (IGN: Happyapathy) if you don't want to give away what happens. Any comments are also welcome, even a simple 'lol' will show that people are reading these :)
I would also like to say that the time I waste making these is time I could have wasted playing SK :P (as goes with every other Fan Art/Fiction creator), if you like my stuff I would greatly appreciate any in-game donations/bribes to support my work.

Neat. But mostly silly (as in very funny).

I love it.
I think I should have seen that end coming, what with sir SnarbyOutfit's interrupted comment, but somehow I didn't. And then I laughed heartily. \o/

The joke was kind of expected and not that amusing.
Jim Dale is critic.

its a first go for this, i tried to think of a way to make it so it would flow smoothly in as few images as possible, this is the best I could do. Future ones will hopefully be better.

ROFL - I always imagined something like this to happen with the token drop. Kinda like: all partymembers except one are dead, that last knight manages to kill the boss with half a pip of health left, all cheer, knight runs towards the elevator... SPLATTER!
Gunna try it out you are super appreciated by this guy <3 Much love :]

I'm not sure whether this one falls into the category of funny or creepy...
anyways, pray this never happens to you, but if it does...
PREPARE TO DEFEND YOUR SHINS!!

I know I'm easily entertained... But that had me laugh out loud. :o Nice work on setting all of that up.

That one funny, very hectic, creepy, and crazy scene. Reminds of the Borrowers. Rather unfortunate for that group though it could be worse (Devilites, Greavers, aaahhhh!). How many environments did you use? And how long did that take?

Dude, i loved it! when we will see more work of you? why don't you make some series? everyone love series! =D

I've thought about a series, but that would take SO much work :s
Each of those pint-sized zombies are an individual model that I have to painstakingly place, however using a new technique I was able set up animations "en mass" so I could rapidly set a large number of them to be walking, attacking, or idle. This would probably make creating crowds in the future much easier.
It involves having to take the zombie model.dat file and make multiple copies of it, in this case 1z.dat, 2z.dat, 3z.dat, etc. I then set each one to be doing a different animation and just created each model in bulk, so every 1z.dat zombie would be walking, 2z.dat zombies would be attacking, 3z.dat zombies would be idle, etc.
If that sounds like a whole lot of gibberish I apologize, its not a very easy thing to explain.

How did you do it? You made one in a pose, saved it, and then continued to keep loading it, and then placing it?
PS: You know that you can turn off the Compass and the Grid right?

Yeah, I kinda went "Oh crap" after I took that picture and noticed the grid :/
Also the fog effect is new too :D
Best way to explain the whole model thing would be to make an example guide, too lazy to do it now but I will sometime in the future.

@Happyapthy
"If that sounds like a whole lot of gibberish I apologize, its not a very easy thing to explain."
To me, it sounds like insanity :P. And worse yet, whenever I see one of your creations, I think:

(someone please talk me out of it - I don't really have the time to do it)

A peek inside the Spiral Spy workshop, where I am always hard at work to bring you new stunning pieces:
Turns out I have a secretary, cool :)

mind editing it so it doesn't give away what happens directly below the post :s

Oh, yeah. Fortunately for me I read the posts in order and didn't se Ghigxhalon's until afterwards.

LOL
I died from the lulz. The lols came before that.

Heheh. Another smile got squeezed out of me. It's like a Rock Jelly. A sort of "Slime-Mimic" is my guess. I think some more screaming would be appropriate for panel4 also.

Quick comic, made this one in under half an hour:

It's so simple, yet so entertaining. I applaud your skills in both scene-constructing and joke-writing. However, I don't see the joke in "Quick shoes", or maybe it's just me 0.0

I like 'Ready for Anything'. I would usually be the one saying no...

So THEy were the ones who stole my jelly stash. The CADS.
Luckily I had a poison trap on the container. Take that suckers!

D'aww.
Gosh, I wish the next major update would include facial expressions, at least.

I guess they forgot to read the description and stored their Dread Venom Striker with their snacks!

I am not Happyapathy, but I made this late Winterfest picture.

Well done Happyapathy and Atrumvindex! So you finally figured out how to put in your own eyes Happyapathy?

I like very much. Especially the tiny skeletons, and the idea of stepping in tiny slime cubes. I often think about the amount of goo stuck to the knights that come up out of the clockworks. Frankly its messy down there, especially after killing the Jelly King.

xD Okay, those were hilarious. I look forward to whatever you come up with next. :P

Anyone who knows me is aware of the fact I'm an unwavering gunner who probably hasn't touched a sword since I put my slime slasher down mid-way through reaching Tier 2, my Character is more liable to stab himself then the intended target, but that doesn't mean I can't try!
Swords for the Lone Gunner

I see a new character. You've already got a secretary, a manager, and a Snipe Gunner Wingman. Is that bluish Snipe your new technician?

that new snipe is Paige, Eve's aide snipe who helps her run the Spiral Spy workshop while her boss is busy drinking coffee and watching TV :P, I also said before that I AM the manager, Sullivan was just passing by and like many devillites despises laziness.

I'm really amused by your skill with using Spiral spy and I want to get spiral spy myself!
Sadly my computer won't allow it :'(
Is freaking awesome.
