Well i think this is still missing in the game a heavy piercing sword. after crafting my faust (now GF) i fell in love with the 2 hit combo and the swords in general. but the Troika line is just awfully underpowerd so i won't even bother making this lump of junk (and waste of CE) why not make a piercing line in this sword?

best of both worlds we get a heavy piercing sword and Troika line becomes usefull once again.

I've noticed that OOO

I've noticed that OOO dislikes making peircing/normal weapons. The salt bomb is the one exeption, but that's a peice of crap.

+1 but

Something different not a troika/sealed clone with different damage. Maybe a spear that only repeats the last thrust of the flourish in slowmotion and charge tries to 'impale' the enemy

A piercing weapon should look sharp. A large pickaxe would be a nice touch for a heavy piercing weapon.

TROIKA LOVER FTW!!!

My suggestion for a piercing Troika would be to put a line of spikes instead of the blade... and it would work! just look at all the animations! :3

Would your idea be more like a Kanabo or a macuahuitl?

Drill

A nice, big drill would be the best for a two hit piercing sword. If you've played Bioshock 2, that's where i get the idea from.

Perhaps counter-intuitively, I've always found the two-hit combo of the heavy swords incredibly useful against teleporting Wolvers (swing, hit, turn, Wolver 'ports straight into my second swing), so I'd definitely like to see a Piercing-class weapon along those lines. Devilites are fast as the dickens and people use DAs on them all the time.

Ooooh... shiny New weapons... (I hope!)

Less like Kanabo, More like Macuahuitl :D Thanks!

Bravo for the native american weaponry! ;D

I may steal that Macuahuitl

I may steal that Macuahuitl picture for the wolver blade Idea I have been fidling around with, though it would only have spikes on the "blade" side in my head.

A suggestion

I had an idea for a Slow Sword that did piercing damage once...a Jelly Club. To explain the piercing damage, the jelly it was composed of would be sprouting a few spines.

In keeping with the other jelly gear, the upgraded versions would be the 'Brute Jelly Club', the 'Rock Jelly Cub', and the 'Royal Jelly Sceptre', the latter of course having extra fancy bits to make it look like a sceptre.

I'd personally shy away from

I'd personally shy away from scythes - they're not really consistent with the tech-knight aesthetic. Scythes are, historically, improvised peasant weapons - they're farming tools, they're not meant for violence, and are actually pretty miserable for serious combat. They owe their badass rep to their association with depictions of Death and extrapolations of that by generations of cheesy artists; but even its wielding by personifications of death is an allusion to their applications in harvesting, rather than any sort of extravagant lethality.

Besides, any scythe-like weapon large enough to justify a two-stroke combo in this game is going to have to be a two-handed job, which simply doesn't work with SK's shield-dependent combat. I would dearly love to avoid turning this into another pointless debate about including two-handed weapons, but there you have it.

Of course, Three Rings have an extraordinarily talented art department, lead by one of my favourite artists, and I trust them implicitly to come up with something appropriate and cool-looking if a slow Piercing weapon ever does get implemented.

Also, are there any middleweight Piercing swords? I thought only quick, Flourish-style swords had the damage type, unless I'm being thick or forgetful.

HOPE YA DON'T MIND THE REVIVE

Totally rezzin' this to post a little somethin' I thought up.

Was tryin' out a VISUAL CONCEPT of the Jelly Clubs idea posted earlier. BUT ALAS, I cannot draw without a tablet! But I have SPRITES which kinda work I hope. Was gonna make four different unique clubs, but then I got lazy and only made two.

http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/8191/doseclubs.png

Kinda obvious, but left's the Jelly Club with the right bein' the Royal Jelly Scepter. Was aimin' for a Macuahuitl look with the club, and tried to mix together a mace, the Royal Jelly's Crown, and a scepter whilst keepin' the piercin' look.

Since, y'know, Royal Jelly gots no thorns.

Yes please! Actually, I just

Yes please!

Actually, I just want a piercing sword without the stupid thrusting. I can't aim it well due to a combination of lag and general not-good-at-aiming-ness, and unless they make a toggle auto-target hotkey, I'll continue to hate my piercing sword.

Curved blade

How about a heavy piercing sword 2 hit combo that has a "linoleum knife" like blade.

http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=linoleum+knife&qs=n&sk=&sc=8-14&form...

Give it a powerful forward-swinging arc, like the beast basher and slime slasher, for a more "piercing" contact effect.
