Pet System

Pet System on Sk.
Agree or Disagree? I am talking about a pet who follows you around and support you in the Battles. Can tank monster if u command so, Also Pet will consume 2-5energies to go down on gates with you. Ofcourse Pet will need some food and pet gears.

I don't like the idea of relying on something out of my control to win my battles.
Go play pokemon [trollface.jpg]

They take your mats by random, but not your cr...
Still you can try to find a guild or some friends instead.

Mechaknight kit = pet.
See how well that works.
(it doesn't work well)

why not a pet that follows you around, it doesnt fight, but gives you a small bonus (move spd, make certain monsters around you move slower, gives extra dmg vs a monster gourp, etc).
i personally want a pet

It's hard enough to save my teammates all the time.
It will be even harder protecting an AI.
@Dirt
I believe materials are distributed based on how much damage a party member does. I think so because in a small JK run a status bomber ended up getting all the four star materials that were dropped. Anyone else got crap for materials. It'd be hard to believe he had gotten all five materials merely by chance.
Which makes me upset, of course, because I didn't do nearly as much as HALF the damage he dealt. But I outlived the rest of my party multiple times.

My idea of a pet. Anything short of that will be unsatisfactory :P

Materials are randomly distributed. There is no skew to the distribution. It is random. It's been random since before launch(*). Because of that, sometimes someone gets more than others, or better ones, on a run, because it's, you know, RANDOM.
Any other questions?
(*) Previous schemes in the beta were "whoever picked it up" and round-robin, but these were too easy to manipulate or take advantage of, so it was changed to random to make distribution more fair, overall.
Now, on to pets again: Do you really want another moving object to add to the lag?
The only way I'd have pets is if they were a whole different fighting archetype (so it's placed in a different category than swords/guns/bombs) they could have like "summoner scrolls" that you can buy like weapons and they could be levelled up like normal weapons and summoner scrolls/kits/whatever you wanna call it, only provide passive bonuses for you/team. It would take up a loadout slot much like a weapon does already and bind to you when you bind them/craft a binded one, and the only way to deploy them would be to fully charge them and they could operate on a timer and have a cooldown before you'd be able to use them again. these pets could operate as "support bombs" which provide buffs to teammates rather than enemy debuffs/statuses So for example:
Wolver pet could provide a damage bonus to teammates, chromolisk pet could provide a passive speed increase to people standing in the AoE that slowly decays over time, jelly cube pet could provide increased pierce resistance to those standing in the AoE and obviously each subsequent * after that increases duration, cooldown reduction, AoE, etc.
A system like this could probably increase team synergy, but then again I think pets would be a dumb idea especially if they helped you fight rather than help indirectly, this is just an idea I had.

Look" i had the same idea close to the 1 release of sk.
Been suggested many times before. I personally don't see the need in the game as it currently is--having this kind of pet system implies having some content that isn't manageable with the equips available for a character by themselves--but maybe when we finally see what is waiting in the core/tier 4/etc. there might be a reason to need the extra support.
