Yesterday, SK worked fine, launched fine. Today, when I launched it trough steam, there was a fast patch, and then nothing. I waited a few minutes and launched it again. The "preparing to launch spiral knights" window popped up. After a few seconds, nothing else popped up, just the sound of an error (from Windows, I'm on windows XP) was played. Then nothing.
What do I do. : c

Well, first determine whether it's just SK or every game you try to launch through Steam. If other games load fine then it's SK. If other games fail to load you're probably looking at a Steam issue.
Assuming it's an issue with the SK game client (and assuming you didn't do this with your reinstalls) then it might be best to try a clean install. Uninstall through Steam and then manually go in and delete any folders or files left over by the SK installation (if any) and then reinstall through Steam.
The most obvious game is that some game file corrupted and is now messing up the game client but if the only error is that it fails to load anything I'm not sure how to track such an issue.

Go to your Library, right
Go to your Library, right click Spiral Knights, then select "Properties." Go to the Local Files tab, and see what "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" does. If it spots some files which it then repairs, but at start-up Spiral Knights begins patching again, then your Steam is sending you unupdated files for some reason.

Nevermind the nevermind. It patched again. It patched after every reinstall and then acts like I said.
Actually, I'll give more detailed information on stuff.
I'm running the game on latest version of Steam
Windows XP
3 gigs RAM, Intel Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz processor, nVidia GTS 220 video card, so yes, I do meet the requirements.
Everything is up to date. As I said, the game worked fine. I changed nothing since yesterday. In my computer, game files, drivers, and so on.
I don't know what other info I could give.
