They can either functional or completely aesthetic! But having a little Snipe (the birds of Haven) follow you around while you're exploring

That would be pretty...fun.
Costume options, being able to keep the look of one piece of equipment with the effects of another would be nice. I'd like gunslinging bonuses without having to look like some clint eastwood wannabe for instance. Likewise color schemes are too lmiiting. Ditch the schemes entirely and just let players set RGB values for primary and secondary colors directly. Much more flexible.
Functional pets could be a fun addition. Let them gain stats from the owner feeding them old bound gear or something. A snipe or gremlin vanity pet would be nice too
@Jeryx... you can do that... it's called armor costume, on your character screen
I agree with this, since I was also thinking about the idea. But to add more use to this, how about TAMING some monsters (smaller ones) and maybe having them fight with you? Get armor for them, and all. I really think this would put more attraction to players to this game, and more to do.
LOL ya I guess I should actually learn how to play before making suggestions. I found armor costumes about 5 minutes after posting. Woops.
I still think letting players set color values directly is better than making them pick from set schemes though.
