HATS!

Yes, you heard me; HATS! The TRUE meaning of gaming!

If anyone has played TF2, then you know how COMPLETELY NECESSARY and ABSOLUTELY VITAL they are for gameplay. Hats are the true core of gaming, and yes; Spiral Knights has the Chapeau's, and the Bombhead Masks, and now the limited-time disguise hats that will be actually worth it when the planets are aligned, but can this really satisfy mans' natural need to hat?

Let the classless update explain it for you!

During peacetime, hats have been instrumental for men to let the non-hatted know just who is wearing the hat around here."

Clearly, hats are a staple to everyday life. Spiral Knights is incomplete without these proper elements of hattery. Instead of cramming weapons and jars of piss together to make hats, we could use our crowns to buy hats! Or perhaps craft our own hats using special hat recipes! They will benefit the economy greatly, and are a great thing for players who have nothing else to craft to work on! Who wouldn't want their adorable little knight to wear an astounding hat? I demand more Ghastly Gibus'!

Myself and my guild; Hat Simulator all agree that hats should indeed become a staple part of the Spiral Knights world. Who needs new content, or new bosses? Just add hats to the game! Hats must spread their influence of fine fabrics/textures and other rich/pixels materials throughout all of gaming!

Therefore, let this become the official Spiral Knights Hats thread!

Okay, hear me out...

So we've got Bombhead Masks, Chapeaus, the temporary disguises, stuff like that. That's all nice and cool, but we really need to add more Hats! I mean, what are rich people like the guild members of Hat Simulator (myself included) supposed to spend their hard earned CR on? Cosmetic stuff!

Forget about the weapons, and rolling UV's, I don't want gambling, I don't want to progress, I want HATS!

I will not die a happy man until I see my knight wearing a beanie.

I must agree with my officer! We as proud simulators of hats are outraged by this atrocity of the lack of cosmetic headwear that completely changes gameplay and how the game works!

Who wouldn't want their knight wearing a fancy fedora?

No no no, I just realized that what we really need are more PANTS. We've sorta got hats (all helmets, bombhead, etc.) though they're more like masks, and we've got shirts (armours), but no pants. I DEMAND ACTUAL PANTS! Or maybe shoes...after we get actual feet.

Hats are quite a nice idea.

Hats would look good as an accesory (like a top hat for your helmet), but they would be quite difficult to fit in a helmet.

@heatsurge, i hate when pepole say things like you said, because: 1- HATS. ARE. OPICIONAL. 2- you are losing a lot of fun not playing tf2, the game is still the same, except that pepole are wearing hats. You don't want to wear hats? nobody gives a duck to that. You want to use only vannila (default) weapons? sure, most competitive plares agree that some default weapons are the best. TL;DR: hats and new weapons are opicional, you are losing a lot of fun times by giving up on tf2 because "its not the same game anymore."

I don't get it....

Why hats? I really do not understand the hype of that. I'm happy with my Skolver Cap and Mad Bomber Mask, why ruin perfectly good looking and functional headwear by putting useless headwear on it? (Hat on a hat? *Insert Inception joke here*)

Not to mention the fact that lots of items already clip through other items, so hats would probably be horribly clipped if they were put on head gear like accessories. If they weren't like accessories but like costume stuff instead, how would you even get them? Through Iron Lockboxes? So then the more common ones end up cluttering up the Auction House at the price of dirt and eventually end up unsellable because everyone else already has one?

Or maybe use the recipes idea? I pray to God that they don't make Basil sell them, because it's already enough of a pain to find recipes that I actually want or need.

I really don't see this being implemented anytime soon (because SK artists would have to design loads of hats and all that stuff they need to do to put stuff in the game), but if they do decide to implement it, I hope they do so after adding some new content or such. And before you start with it, I don't consider Shadow Lairs new content.

I do agree with something that would allow us to heal our team mates or ourselves, like the menders do with other mobs. That or being able to carry a lot more pills with us :p
