Hey guys! I thought it might be a good idea to have the option to make your knight left-handed. I am left-handed, so this would be a great option for me! Does anyone else agree with me!? Please leave feedback, thanks! -Haku -Oh, and Merry-almost-Christmas!
Left Handed?
Sure, why not? A little bit of extra customisation's always welcome.
yeah i like this. every little bit helps and im originally left handed so +1
+1 very nice idea for people who are left handed.
@martin just the direction of attacking.
I'm glad to see so many people think this will work! I hope they will release it in a future update.
Lol yeah why not? This gotta be the most useless suggestion but i think thats fair for left handed people to have their knights left handed as well. Though i predict a glitch, people with two shields or two swords. I support :)
This is useful as the gender identification for knights so you don't confuse guys for girls....
In other words...I SUPPORT.
Even though I'd stay right handed.
im pretty sure they will realease this. well they should anyway. wont be too hard to script/make in the game. though mixing up guys with girls should probably be soughted out another way. say gear will be slightly different.
I am so tired of games that make you be right-handed (i.e. most shooting games). AS A LEFTY I SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR IDEAS.
Just to point out that any sword swipes would probably be reversed, and hitboxes may be shifted . I'm no expert on hitboxes mind, especially in this game, but if they aren't centered and instant it -may- cause problems.
Just taking a Murphy eye to it :P
There are multiple levels to which this could be done. The simplest would be to simply add some code to flip the entire character. That would entail packaging the character, armor, weapons, and all, into one entity to which operations such as mirroring it horizontally could be easily applied and affect models, animations, hitboxes, and knockback, all at once.
If OOO cared particularly they might choose to make it such that asymmetrical armors such as the sniped stranger hat would not be mirrored, but that would require each price to be a separate layer and be flipped (or not) individually, which would be messier and more time consuming. However, it is important to note that this method would allow for items who contain asymmetrical textures (such as text) to remain in the original orientation and thus for the designs to be legible.
A hybrid of the two options would allow for models to have two texture sheets such that designs on the armor could remain in the proper orientation while the model is also mirrored.
i would of thought mirroring it would be most affective.
Wow, old thread, but still unique.
As a lefty I support this too.
That would be pretty cool.
