Ok. So while I was reading the post about setting a general price for all materials somewhere in this forum, I thought 'Hey, why doesn't someone just collect all the prices for materials from different bazaar posts and find out an average for them?' So I did, and I hope this can be put to good use for new players.

The prices have been collected from 5 different posts or "vendors", and I know that is a little too small of a database to make an actual average about stuff, but I guess it'll be the best I can do for now. If anyone else than the 5 ppl I list are selling mats in a "vendor" format with listed prices per material, please put up a post on the bazaar forum than I might be able to get a more accurate average pricing.

The prices were collected from:

The dates on the right side are the latest dates that they updated their posts. It seems to me as though they are mostly current. I would also like to state that if you don't want your selling prices to be used by me than please post a comment about it then I'll get rid of it.

Intresting but...

I think the idea that just because these are the prices that people sell at doesn't mean their average.

Iron gears were selling for about 250 when I was on, and someone just gave me 2 for free.

But some sort of guideline is a lot better than none at all -I sold an iron gear for 1k just now; neither of us had any real idea what a normal price was (I thought I did but apparently I was wrong ;))

Some of those prices seem to be waaaay off. For example: I'm pretty sure perfect snowballs and thunderballs would be worth more than just that much; They aren't all that common. Trojan Horseshoes, aswell, even though they can be purchased with tokens now, I wouldn't value them at less than 15k. People still buy them for tons of crowns, though. And etc.

Spark of Life and Volcanic Iron seem to be the most inaccurate ones; Considering the current rarity of shock/fire based T3 stratums (AKA literally none.), plus the fact those are bought with forge, they'd value at at least 30k. Myself, I'd value it at 40k.

Flame Souls aswell, are pretty darn easily obtainable at the FSC. It's quite impressive they still sell for tons.

Though myself, I just use a general guideline based on star quality, with very few exceptions depending on current stratums/gates, general rarity of the material and how many I currently have. The guideline would be:

1*: 50cr - 150cr
2*: 500cr - 800cr
3*: 1500cr - 2000cr
4*: 2500cr - 4000cr
5*: Varies a lot. "Base" price is ~15000.

And as a note, general value has been dropping lately; Low demand, high stock. Eventually, mats will end up being pretty darn cheap, except for the high end ones.

But in general, without an auctionhouse or marketplace, the pricing of materials is way too unstable and ends up being entirely up to who is the most desperate: Buyer or seller. Until we get an auctionhouse/marketplace (if we do), this situation will remain the same.

Someone else needs to put a whole bunch of work into something. Because it's useful for you. Well, that makes sense. That seems fair. Or, as an alternative, and bear with me here, 'cause I know I'm being unreasonable, but still, just hear me out; as an alternative, given that the methods are clear, you can put the effort in yourself for something which you find useful.

Or, failing that, you could at least ask politely. Try this: "Hey, any chance of someone updating this list? I've been finding it really useful for selling stuff, and I don't want to be selling at unfair prices. Thanks!"
