PvP dueling

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
a simple one on one, player verses player duel to the death.
you can challenge another knight to a duel where in you fight with all your current equipment.
and you place your bets, for example you both put in 2000 crowns, and the winner takes all.
a simple death-match with no rules and the only goal is to humiliate your opponent by killing him or her.
would be a fun creative way to get to know other knights and learn about your strengths and/or weaknesses.
and perhaps you could have other knights bet on who they think will win.

thats what i was trying to say with the 2k,,
definitely should be fixed amounts
and 10% sounds reasonable.

And all the money/stuff won MUST come from players. Also there should be no extra prizes like krogmo coins etc. all winnings/money should come from players. Thanks to that and 10% fee there would be no multi-acc abuses.

thats a valid point.
i also agree there should not be pries other than what the players bring forth.
the 10% fee is completely reasonable and so far i have to ree with all the points u are making.
thanks

Great Idea. I would like to have a pvp battle without others to help.

When blast network was released, OOO said: "Don't worry, this is the first of MANY to come!"
Ok.. we have two. Also, this shouldn't be random. You should only be able to challenge guildies/friends.
There should be like a challenge button next to your guildies and friends.
Do this.. please..

The problem is that this game is still "incomplete". In a duel between two guys the winner would be decided pretty quickly based on the weapons and the armours of choice. Who wins isnt decided by who has the best skillz.
Before adding dueling to the game they should add more stuff that actually depends on the users abilities.

i see people starting to post the same topic now,, kind of annoying.
my idea was that u walk up to a player,, maybe in arcade and u click on their name,, and say "challenge to duel"
loads an arena and u place your bet,, winner takes all.
people do fight diffeently and have different styles with the same gear. im more of a gunslinger,, can survive any round aslong as i have my firo driver on me. but im still a good swordsman when it comes to the winmillion, cold iron and also the calibur class. different weapons bring different play styles, sure if it was more obvious and noobs didnt just go for the strongest weapons or armr but for the ones that suited them the most.. but dueling seems like a great add on to an already addictive game. XD

Oh, sorry, I guess those 2 Gran Faust hits were just too much for you. /end duel
Wear Elemental defense gear next time so that I can switch weapons to a different 2-hit massacre weapon. /end duel
lol.
Honestly I think PvP needs to be re-balanced before you start this betting-crowns stuff. Gunners would pretty much never win duels. Only way a Gunner would win a duel is by annoyingly crab-walking from beginning to end, assuming he's in a very long hall.
I certainly wouldn't mind dueling, but I really think it should be balanced first.

That's why you start with triple the health of how you usually are.
And read my first post if you didn't please.

When did anyone mention triple health? :O
Yes, I read your post...first of many to come..after balancing. :P
I still foresee issues with this, but at least if they're friends/guildmates only, newbies are much less likely to get destroyed by some random dude wearing a proto costume.

As i said the game is still incomplete and having triple health wont do., this needs balance a lot of balance.

You're correct, but if SK actually telling the truth when they said "of many to come", then I expect a dueling mode.

As the 1v1 matchups in the Current LD framework show, it's a mix of equips and skill, but more equips.
I've held 2 guys off a point with some static bomb spam and a few flourish strikes, sometimes driving them away, sometimes killing them, sometimes dying horribly, but the clever thing about lockdown is that kills and damage are only important in the broader scope of hindering the enemy team; the objectives are what's important, not your personal damage counter.
I think its not about how to balance 1v1 LD, but about coming up with an objective based game that is fun for smaller groups.
Who remembers the Pokeathlon set of minigames in... Heart Gold/Soul Silver? Your pokemon had certain stats based off their actual stats, but simplified and used for minigame performance rather than combat
I say that there should be few options on how much you risk to loose like:
1k
2k
5k
10k
(random amounts)
Both players have to put same amount and agree to that. After that the winner takes all but for example 10% fee goes to King Krogmo.
