I've seen a TON of threads asking whether or not a certain type of equipment is the best. I have a couple problems with this:
1. Most do not state where they wish to use said equipment
2. Most do not state fighting style
3. Most do not state other weapons/armor/shield
4. Most do not state what trinkets or weapon unlocks they have
5. There is no "Best Equipment". Some may be slightly better than others in certain situations, but it's best to have a whole range of equipment to deal with all the monsters in the clockworks.
6. Half the time, if you use THE SEARCH BAR, you can find other people discussing your same question. Especially with the DA vs GF debate.
So, if you do plan to ask about which equipment you should use, make sure you state the following:
1. Location you plan to use it in
2. How you like to fight (solo, group, tank it, dodge and shield cancel...)
3. All your other equipment
4. Any additional equips you have

I strongly agree. For some time I've been planning a "How to ask for Arsenal advice" post/wiki. My main points would be:
* How many weapon slots do you use? (If you don't know, then do you play multiple times per week, and are you thus able to maintain sufficient cash flow to keep a third weapon slot?)
* Do you prefer swords, guns, or bombs, or a mixture?
* List all of your current weapons, armor, shields, and trinkets. Omit UVs, unless they are absolutely essential to your question.
* Goals (FSC, general play, starting Tier 3, Shadow Lair, etc.)
* Solo or group?
* Have you skimmed the first page of the Arsenal forum, and done a quick search of the Arsenal forum, and read the Swordmaster, Gunslinger, and Bombing Guides, to make sure your question isn't a FAQ?
So perhaps we could team up on such a thing, Aemicus.
