I'd like to start out by asking everyone, "if you had to play a Lockdown game with one 5* weapon of your choosing, what would it be?"
Only problem is, I know that answer from almost all of you....
It's some version of a flourish, most likely a Final Flourish (FF, or toothpick) or a Barbarous Thorn Blade (BTB, or cattle brand).
I'd like to point out that i think the Grand Faust (GF) was ninja patched at some point and many people didn't even notice.
At one point the GF would two hit kill people. Now, even without shadow defense, it will leave about 1 health left after the 2nd hit with damage (dmg) boosts and no heart trinkets (<3 trink).
However, the Flourish line will do enough dmg to a person without <3 trinks to kill them outright on the 2nd hit with dmg boosts, even with a skolver coat but no piercing helm defense. This means that the flourish's do more base dmg and have a faster attack speed than a GF. Does that sound right to you? I'm not even mentioning that every GF swing can be interrupted by a flourish, sometimes after being displayed.
Now I've had one other major problem with Flourish's in Lockdown (LD) besides the dmg and speed. I've been hit when standing behind a flourish user. (this was a recon surprise attack many times.) could this be from the lunge animation, but a stationary hit box for damage?
Before you ask, no, this was not a one time thing and has occurred in both games with and without lag.

A few other quirks I've noticed in LD.... (not all of them are bad, but you should know at least)
Polaris shots will explode on teammates in LD once they grow in size, not reaching their final range. (this can happen for other guns as well)
Gunshots can be canceled after being displayed if the gunner gets hit. (happens on slower bullets and only in a small time after shooting)
Most gunshots will be blocked by dead bodies. (mostly enemy bodies, but on occasion friendly ones as well)
Weapon charge will not be canceled for a second after the user has been hit. (actually this might be latency, but it's quite noticeable for recon's with surprise attacks) Make up your mind, have it cancel, or just automatically use it.
A guardian shield will not break if used a split second before each attack to be blocked. (mostly skill on the guards part, but can make them pretty much invincible) yes, I've had 7 of my GF hits blocked in a row without breaking.... no, it didn't end well for me.

Agree. Last night I played 5 LD matches, the entire enemy team all 5 games had nothing but flourish line weapons. Got so boring I just stared bomb spamming RSS. Hopefully Variety in the next update...
