The Heater shield needs a visual buff.

It is a 5* shield that looks like a dull version of the 3* Scarlet Shield.

It is the same shape as the 3* Great Defender.

It should be larger like the Mighty Defender, Aegis, and Crest of Almire.

So pretty much what I'm saying is to be consistent with the Heater Shield's star level it would be nice if the model was a re-skinned Mighty Defender with some sort of glow effect (so it looks like you could cook on it).

(Yeah, I know not exactly a high priority, but the breaker sets got fixed so why not this too. It would not take too much effort either)

After using a Heater for a while I have kind of gotten attached to the shield's shape. I still feel like it deserves some sort of visual effect to make it appear hot though.

Also, I have found it to be a bit weak. It would be nice if the Elemental Defense was increased to bring it in line with the Grey Owlite Shield. I know you could argue that the Heater has less Elemental then the Owlite, because it has more Normal. The Heater also only has one status to the Owlite's two, so I think it would still balance out.

TLDNR: Size fine, but still needs to look hot. Elemental defense needs buff.

Hmm...

I Agree it does need a Visual Buff, but I don't want it to look like the Rest of the other Ones. Make it look Unique, like Red with Heat Waves Reflecting off of it.

+1 For the idea, though.

Yeah, I agree that this game does a bit too much model recycling. I just suggested it this time, because I thought it would be more likely to happen that way & it actually makes since in this case. The Heater shield is an upgraded Mighty Defender after all. That is why it is extra silly that you take a perfectly good Mighty Defender then cut it down to 3* Great Defender size for the 5* variant Heater Shield.

If they DID have to Recycle, I would want a Re-Skin of the Heavy Plate Shield. It sorta looks like some kind of "Stove" you would put some Food on &/or Warm Yourself with like a Fire.

Just Re-Color it Red, make it give off a Heat Wave Vibe, some Extra little Flame Retardant Edges to Prevent Clockwork Forest Fires & BAM! You got'churself an Awesome looking Shield.

Yup.

Since it IS a Heater Shield, why not make it into a Fire/Freeze Resistant Shield?

Be like the Owlite Line, except the Normal & Elemental Damage Bars are Swapped & Fire Instead of Shock Resistance.

Yeah, this is true because for most 5 star equipment pierces you have the "standard" version which functions best and then the less effective version which is compensated by looking much cooler (cold iron vs Levi, Hunting blade vs Vile are two such examples)

It is called a Heater Shield because it is used to fight the cold. That is why it is hot.

I don't think its so much that its stats are bad, so much as its just that we don't have much in the way of content that would be worth using it on. About the only time I would ever whip one out (if I had one) would be for a stratum 6 freeze themed Gremlin or Construct arena.

We already have plenty of

We already have plenty of fire protection shields (including an Elemental/Normal/Fire/Shock shield)...

Wise Owlite Shield, Crest of Almire, Dragon Scale, and Volcanic Plate Shield are all already fire protection shields covering Elemental, Shadow, Piercing, and Normal.

Strength is fine. We just need a place where Elemental/Freeze protection would be handy.

Getting crazy sidetracked though. My original point was that a 5* shield should not look like a crappier version of a 3* shield.

Actually it could use a bit more Elemental Defense, but I still don't think strength is the reason this is a niche shield so much as there are just few times that we actually need an Elemental/Freeze shield.

I use a heater...

And I would like it to stay as it is. I personally prefer the smaller looking shields (Jelly shield, Darkfang(shush :U), although Crest is my only 'large' shield) And I also use heater as a costume piece, I like how it looks.

Honestly, I used to think that the Heater Shield WAS the Scarlet Shield :P only with a different name (like the True Love Locket in a way). When a bit of logic is applied, I don't see how the Heater Shield is able to withstand more damage compared to the Scarlet Shield :P

they should...

they should do a change that is not to far from its description. if they do, like for example change it to a bueish white, it would ruin hy its called heater shield. some changes they have done that doesn't match description is the sun shards. how does a sunshard that the name seem split elemetal and piercing become pure piercing. i just dont see it, so i hope the change in the look matches the description.
