Yeah, these have been suggested already, but I don't see anything on page 1 or page 2 about them, or any sort of discussion on how they can be implemented
I think they'd be implemented handguns with a sort of mist/flame affect instead of bullets, kind of like the Gremlin scorcher torches... Maybe they could be mid-range weaponry that delivers a focused, directional version of the Mist/Haze/Gas bombs (but not in a way that would make the said bombs obsolete)?
Hm... you can get that kind of effect in game ALREADY with the Pulsar and the Autogun lines, actually. But those are BULLETS, not mist... Also you can't RUN with an Autogun, while you'd probably be able to spray gas while running. THAT, and a mist/flame thrower probably wouldn't stop or knock enemies back so much, unless it had an air burst or something like the TF2 Pyro (in b4 this gets implemented and people use that in LD to knock enemy toothpickers into Mist/Haze fields or Vortexes left by Bombers... actually that would be hilarious. Make it happen, OOO).
So yeah, how do you think we should do this?
Running and spraying status haze does make bombs obsolete. If the point of this gun is to deal status, it would have a good chance, or high, to deal said status. Then just run and spray it on enemies. Faster than charging and waiting for a fuse, with more accuracy.
I'll support stationary, aimed flamethrower types. And instead of clips, have a bar similar to the special ability bars in lockdown, perhaps in the same way as strike/recon.
