1000 cr for a public name? I would pay, and im sure others would pay, much, much more for that. Make it 50,000, the price of what it costs to change your color.

and personally i think someone by the stature of krogmo would prefer up from cold hard cash XD

It would be awesome to have self named items so rich players can sieve through their masses of lookalike items, after all, almost all alchemer line icons look identical.
Public names are brilliant too, but the devs have to approve every single renamed item, or put a filter on certain words to make sure they are not offensive to the community.
Nobody wants to see my Divine Avenger renamed Long Thick Banana now do we?
Serell and Diamondshreddie are right; if it was only 1000 cr for a public name, I would instantly spend all my money renaming all my items. Coupled with the fact that the devs have to review every single renamed item, the number of publicly named items would have to be very little, and for this to be a viable crownsink, the prices of public nametags have to be huge.
I really hope the devs do read this thread.

I'm going to say 50k cr should keep things in line... a word filter for the worse names... yeah. This'd do. If someone's desperate to have their DA named Long thick banana without being filtered then that's their 50k cr that they grinded for. And plenty of people to call them an idiot for doing so.
I mean... seerusly... if we made it 50kcr to name the weapon you can't tell me that people would go off with reckless abandon naming their warmaster hammer's "Banhammer" and such would you?

My idea for Item Naming (mentioned earlier, but I'll tweak it):
-200 Crowns to give an item a name, only you will see it (to avoid people naming their items... bad things)
-400 Crowns to change a named item's name
-1000 Crowns to request a Public name? It would have to be approved and if it wasn't... I guess you'd get back your crowns... but if this was implemented the name would be visible by all who examined it.
