Crimson Order page being vandalized?

An editor on the wiki claims that a GM provided him with the information on the Crimson Order he is adding to the page. I don't see how a GM would leak information like that to a single person and not the community. Katmint and I have been reverting his edits since they had no source and (at least to me) appear like fanfic. I'd name the user, but it's shown on the edits so there's no need...
Could Equinox the Awesome step in here and help sort this out? :3
EDIT: The user in question and us have figured out the problem, so this is now fixed :) /graveyard

I suspect as much, especially since that's the only page and the description is weird to say the least. I just wanted to be sure to cover that 0.01% chance that it wasn't vandalism :x
Update: Another user with zero previous contributions popped up in agreement with the suspected false information. Extremely odd coincidence or an alt account. My money's on the second one. I created the talk page, so that hopefully we can cease this revert-war nonsense. It's getting frustrating. The comment on the talk page links back here, so the user(s) can choose to discuss through whichever they prefer.

I agree, and I've added a comment to that effect at the talk page, in case that helps. Thanks for your diligence.

However, ive actually heard this rumor, and no, im not an alt. I dont know where it came up from, though. I suppose it could have been a GM: its happened before. Even Nick has leaked stuff before, though i cant say about someone taking a GM's joke literally:)
Edit: and the alt could be a friend of the person, a random person, or an alt just like you said.

@Bopp: Thanks, glad to see supporters here :)
@Peacej: I don't want to sound like a jerk, but I've heard a lot of rumors as well, many which other players have heard too. 99.9% of these are false. When I started playing, many 5* people told me to craft the spur line and claimed that there was currently a 5* version. Obviously, there's no such thing (seems I hung around the wrong crowd early on...) and I doubt I'm the only one they fed this junk to. I'm fine with adding a "rumor" to the wiki as long as it has been confirmed to be true so that there are zero disputes over the issue. If Clotho was the admin who supposedly leaked this information, the Wiki user who wants to add the information should get screenshots of the conversation confirming what he's adding to the wiki. Otherwise, I will continue to treat it as vandalism.

But make sure you arent being too dogmatic with your "all info that I dont know is untrue and vandalism" aproach. When I say ive heard the rumor, I mean ive heard it from sources that i trust, not just chatter by the AH. I probably know more about gremlins in-game and lore than most any other players, just because im so interested in them. (do all sorts of tests with them, lots of raw data) And i see the importance of only letting data through that has been reasonable shown true, but dont erase everything just because its not official, theres a lot of true stuff thats not official. Ive heard plenty of rumors that have turned out true, including a rumor several months ago about adopting baby monsters.

Understood, but unless the sources are official, there is no way to confirm it's true. That's where I have an issue with putting it on the wiki. The wiki is for documented ingame information. The reason we don't add unconfirmed (as in, unofficial) rumors is the same reason we can't put up info from Spiral Spy from soon-to-be released updates. Because it's officially not part of the game. That's why the rumor you claim to have heard about baby monsters, although true, was not added before the update that made it officially part of the game.
Also, if you look closely at what the wiki user edited, here's what he added/changed:
>"The Crimson Order is divided into two parts, the Crimson Order Elite, which is the nine who report directly to Seerus, and the Crimson Order, which is like a gremlin secret police, or a special fighting unit of skilled veteran gremlins."
First off, we know the Crimson Order reports to Tinkinzar, not Seerus. So the first part is inherently wrong as far as I'm concerned. The labeling of Crimson Order "Elites" is new to me, haven't heard that usage before, so I'm unsure about that. The second part is something that has appeared in a lot of Crimson Order fanfic type stuff, but as far as I know it's not part of the actual lore (although I may be wrong, not a gremlin expert).
