Friend Notes [and Tabs] in the Social Tab (Re-Updated)

Suggestion summary: the addition of the ability to make notes about people on your Friend List, the option to make tabs to further organize the list, and the inclusion of a "Last Logged In" type information field.
Over the course of playing Spiral Knights, I've run into a bit of a problem: I've accumulated quite a few other knights under the friend tab. And while that is great, some of them are actually just people I trade materials to, others are folks who aren't on regularly, and then I have a few I travel into the Clockwork regularly with. The issue is that, aside from based upon activity and due in part to my unfortunate inability to remember names, I don't remember who is who. I mean quite seriously, I have... I think it's sixteen people on my Friend's List. I readily know about six of them.
So something small I would like to suggest is a feature that allows one to make notes about people on your friend's list. It has also been suggested (by MeSako) to possibly include the ability to create tabs that can be uniquely labeled for sake of further organization, and (by NegimaSonic) the inclusion of a "Last Logged In" information feature.
I still believe that there is more to add or detract from this, so if any of you lovely ladies and gentlemen of the forums have anything to add to this, please feel free to do so. Are there any cons to this idea? Would implementing such a feature be too intrusive a change? I am relatively sure we haven't thought up everything about the possibilities of this implementation.
Suggestion Contributors so far: MeSako, NegimaSonic, jeburk.
Thank you all again for posting to support the idea.
Edit and Update 01: In response to the wonderful ideas of MeSako and NegimaSonic, I'm adding a record of last log-in time and tab creation to the list of suggestions.
Edit and Update 02: Removed MeSako and NegimaSonic's statements to replace them with jeburk's relatively accurate representation (though it is missing the "Last Logged In" information, which I assume would be kinda hard to place properly here on the forum) of the idea. Thanks for the good example.

Posted by jeburk in all is summarizational genius:
Dungeoners:
Friend X--excellent player, very helpful
Friend Y--poor player, dies often, friended him to help him make crowns
Tradepartners:
Friend A--fair trades, also wanted miracloth if i find some
Friend B--provides poor prices, but likes to trade a lot
YES OMG YES MESAKO
I was just about to respond and I seen this post about categories, yes we need categories for our Social tabs and Friend lists.
/sign x300

and don't forget a note about when they last logged on ^-^
Though personally for now I'm all for adding everyone so I can lurk in your runs

What Negima has suggested seems feasible, at least from my standpoint. In response to MeSako, the tabs isn't too bad an idea, assuming players are given the option to label the tabs themselves. Which, thinking about it, notes would provide this versatility as well... possibly allow more specifics, even.
Updated the initial post to include the suggestions of MeSako and NegimaSonic. Check the first post to see the new results. :D

@OP, great idea. I really like both categories and notes.

Glad the idea seems useful. Thanks for the support, jeburk.
This post also serves as a bump. So there we go on that matter.

Are you copying my list boy? =P

Ah, first of all, this thread has just been bumped. I am slightly adamant about letting this thread die so easily.
On another note, updating the initial post again. Removed the whole summary thing, since it provides a nice (and very redundant) reiteration of something that is mentioned in context below. Also, I'll be adding jeburk's wonderful example (That may or may not be copying GodofSkype 1's list. XD). Also, a bit of a reorganization is in order as well.
Thanks again for all the suggestions and improvements. I really hope this gets off the ground.

Bumpified. I certainly don't want to let this little idea die just yet.
If you have any comments on the idea, leave them here.

I expected someone else to say this in a better way so I didn't say anything.
Possible implementation of the idea:
New drop down on the social tab called "notes". It will display a small approximately one line of text field for you to enter whatever you want. Perhaps an edit button so when you first look at it, you're at no risk to accidentally modify it.
Adding the notes under the user without going into the notes would be ideal but would greatly expand the size of the social tab for those with a lot of friends/guildmates so that's why I am not suggesting that. (This game is about keeping things fairly simple after all)
I was thinking more along the lines of adding CUSTOM categories to sort people by and allow us to append notes to those friends should we choose to do so.
You know sort of like in an IM Buddy List.
BUMP! i'm having this problem too. i've added quite a few friends maybe even more than my guild member. But now I don't know who are the newbies I'm helping out, the good players with low star equipment, the good players wiht high star equipment, or who are just really cool, easy going players. so even if lists aren't possible, the annotation thing would be extremely useful.
like I said, BUMP
Instead of notes.. why note be able to make yer own lists to sort friends under..
Example:
Dungeners:
Friend 1
Friend 2
Friend 3
Trade partners
Friend 4
Friend 5
IRL Friends
Friend 6
Friend 7
