Old and Unobtainable or rare equipment

So I've decided to go around and gather information for all the pieces of equipment that have been removed from the game and are lacking a page on the wiki.
So far I've got most the GM gear down. (I've got low quality screenshots of all their armor). I also was able to assemble enough info for these three pages:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Jaws_of_Megalodon
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Deep_Sea_Cuirass
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Purring_Cap
I would appreciate any images (preferably good quality) of old equipment, stats and icons. Note that it has to be ingame screenshots, not Spiral Spy images, as they are not allowed on the wiki. Images made from model swapping is also prohibited. These images are for the wiki, and must abide by the ToS.
Here are some of the items I'm looking for images of:
* The original Ancient Plate Mail
* The original Wolver Cap
* Industrial Hard Hat
* Firefighter Hat
* Frost Sword
* Third Troika (not official name)
* Shining Armlet (and its corresponding shield?)
* Any icons or stats for the unused Trinkets
There are 6 Kat hats.
Apart from the Magikat hat (black, closed eyed) and the Purring Cap (white, closed eyed), there is the Purple (open eyed) seen on boswick, supposedly the "Feral Kat hat" but I don't think so, I believe that name belongs to the Brown (open eyed) kat hat seen in the preview video.
The wiki also is missing a description for the Town Pass, if anyone would be kind enough to post how it worked or how much it cost.
Also, if anyone knows what a "Dusk Drop" is, could you please explain what it does and how it was crafted?
And did anyone get a screenshot of the description of the wishbone?

Surely someone had a picture of this stuff. :< Having items fade into obscurity is no fun!

I have my ways of digging up things from Spirals past, but ill need rough time stamps of when these items existed.
Update: I've found some of these, in particular firefighter and industrial so far, ill try to get pics up later.

I just pulled the names out of a unobfuscated chunk of code someone posted on the net a year or two back. I searched up on each one of them, and deleted any that seemed like they had been thought of but were nowhere near implemented.
The Frost sword and Shroom Cap, Black Kat Hat, and Mirakat Hat have models in the files, however a wiki page is not allowed for them unless they have appeared in game.
The Firefighter Hat, Industrial Hard Hat, Third Troika have showed up in game and exist in the files, I just need a better screenshot of them.
The Trinkets...there are pages for some and not for others. I'll bring up a full list of them later and check off the ones that exist in game.

Just remember that if an item cannot be found in game it really should not be added to the wiki. Some of the items you listed never existed in any player form in any preview event either. If these pages currently do not exist that means they did not exist for the last preview event. In many cases there are no legit pictures to be had. Posting new images without icons or stats is a tip off that game modifications are occurring and is not an acceptable method of producing wiki content.
Anything taken from "unobfuscated chunk of code" is not wiki-able material. You should not be reposting parts of it anywhere as per the potential spoilers rule.
To fill in the Town Pass details: this was an item that was somewhat of a precursor to the current Tier system we have now. Way back the subtowns of Emberlight and Moorcroft Manor were hubs in their own right like Haven. Initially you could log out at these subtowns and log back in later. It was also possible that a gate would not go all the way down, sometimes necessitating the use of the towns to change gate part way down. However, if you returned to a higher town the only way to get back would be to fight though the clockworks again. The Town Pass added as an automatic reward that would enable fast travel back to these subtowns. The fast travel cost 500cr for one Tier and 1000cr for two tiers IIRC. The Town Pass would expire 7 days after the last time that Tier of run was completed.

Ill upload Kat pictures later:

http://mqdomain.com/spiral/industrial_side.png
http://mqdomain.com/spiral/industrial_back.png
http://mqdomain.com/spiral/firefighter_front.png
http://mqdomain.com/spiral/firefighter_side.png
http://mqdomain.com/spiral/firefighter_back.png

The shape of the face and dust floating around the character give away what you're up to. For your safety, I would suggest against posting more material. Model swapping and texture changing are against the Terms of Service. There is no place for these items as they do not exist to players.

No place? It's called data preservation. If players want to see what these items look like they should be able to.

The fact that the items never had a place in the actual game and are still unavailable might make it confusing for new players who do not know better.
I'm not buying it. :)

The pages for unobtainable items flat out say they are unobtainable.

Rarest obtainable gear? Darkfang shield, I only know of 3 knights who have it.

@Sinkillerj
Those images do look awefully suspicious. I would appreciate a full stat window screenshot, with stat bars and everything. Otherwise it just seems really fishy.
@Dogrock
Just remember that if an item cannot be found in game it really should not be added to the wiki.
As mentioned in the above posts, I'm not adding things to the wiki in which I have no ingame info on, I'm hunting for ingame images of thing i have no info on.
Some of the items you listed never existed in any player form in any preview event either.
That is true, however to discern between which ones exist and which ones don't, I have asked for the community to show screenshots for proof. There might be some interesting things that show up. (especially the two hard hats and the Feral kat hat which Boswick was often seen wearing)
Anything taken from "unobfuscated chunk of code" is not wiki-able material. You should not be reposting parts of it anywhere as per the potential spoilers rule.
I am not posting the code itself, but rather images found by searching names found in the code. I already discovered the Megalodon set by using the name found in the code: I would have never found that screenshot otherwise.
If you've also noticed when people post "have you seen the consumed model?" the GMs don't censor "consumed".
In that Shroom Cap thread the GMs didn't censor every mention of "shroom cap".
They don't seem to have a problem with names, because names are just the title = variable, not the actual call name of the item. Now if I was posting lines of code that operated the game, menus etc, or images of them, that would be an issue.

Thanks. Could you tell me what type of item it was? Was it a Usable? Do you have any screenshots of the icon?

Thanks to OP for showing us something about those old days that some of us couldn't get to :P
Though, I hope it is in the TOS range, because if not, OP should stop then before he gets warned/banned >.< Still thanks for showing us, I also didn't know about the "third troika", whoa.

Third troika is a shock appearing version of the 5* troika. It's charge attack summons a rediculously large thunderbolt and according to my knowledge only one person has captured a screenshot of it on a GM. Unfotunately they didn't get a stat image of it so I am not going to put it on the wiki until I have at least some info on it, at least a correct name.
But now I think about it, someone uploaded the "crowbar" page and then Equinox corrected it to "The Ban Stick" so maybe it wouldn't be such a problem.
Troika does mean "three" or "trinity".
And I am merely gathering screenshots from the community from ingame. Those names I wrote are just names that might refresh the memory of the community. When this thread is done with I will clear the OP of anything that hasn't ever existed, if it would make everyone happy.

really cool to see this data preservation of obviously unattainable gear. thanks for this fan-service to SK. If people don't act as historians, than much knowledge would be lost.

Just gonna leave this here.... http://spiralknightsdb.wikidot.com/
Previous Preview Test photos on that site :D

Hexzyle,
I know exactly where the names on your wiki page have come from. That material should not be posted to a Three Rings site in any form. You have items listed that have never existed as far as any player is concerned. You've got no idea if you revealed the names of upcoming items. The wiki is for items found in game via normal playing means, not from searching the game files. If producing a genuine in game image involving the equip window you should be able to upload stats, icons and descriptions along side. Producing a picture via a texture swap is not an acceptable method now and never has been.
The Travel Pass (correct name) was a "usable" but it existed in a similar state to the Elevator Pass. I've got no screenshot for it. I can't even remember if it was around long enough to have a unique icon. This item is discussed in the forums, to otherwise not know it's function re-enforces you are bringing sources to the table that should not be used.

"You have items listed that have never existed as far as any player is concerned"
The original Ancient Plate Mail, Wolver, Salamander and Chroma helmets are all the old models of things I am looking for that someone has already seen in game and mentioned.
Industrial Hard Hat was in the preview event.
Firefighter Hat was in the preview event.
Templar Bucket Helm was in the preview event, and so was the Templar Sallet.
Third Troika is in the game and there are even screenshots of it, so it's legitimate.
Black Kat Hat has been mentioned outside the code, and even has fan art.
Shining Armlet (and its corresponding shield?) either of which was in the preview event.
Any icons or stats for the unused Trinkets. The trinkets have existed ingame, and some have wiki pages:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Armor_Ward
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Heavy_Armor_Ward
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Chroma_Tear_Earring
I can't find the others at the moment because they don't have the Category:Trinkets tag.
So it's not like I'm pulling these names from nowhere. Anything I've mentioned at least someone else has seen the exact same item ingame.
The code allowed me to get the correct name for "GM Armor, Nose". I thought it was "GM Armor, Nose (Closed)".
I already have all the screenshots, stat images and icon images, I just needed the proper name.
And guess what? These entries remain on the wiki even though they've been pulled out from the code:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Lichen#Notable_Lichens (Oiler Baron and Spiny Toxilargo)
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Kat#Statikat (Black Kat and Cattywumpus)
I remember there was a person who directly uploaded an image of the Shroom Cap from Spiral Spy. A GM came a long, wiped his post and said "Unless you can give me the name of a person who owns this helm, this image will be removed".
I know I'm treading in a grey area, but sometimes you need to risk a little to gain a little.
@King-Tinkinzar
Thanks, but I've already pulled most the info out of that site that I need.
EDIT: Wait a minute... there's more stuff there than I originally thought. :O

I have enough info to make a page for the old angelic model. If anyone could explain how it differed from the current one: Was it just a reskin or was it a completely new armor with the same/new name?

I could contribute with some screenies of GM armor/helmets i have lying around.

Do any of these fit?

and yay! Saw A LOT of the things your probably looking for in their promotional video. Cant believe it looked so different back then! here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUMxpYLJQiM maybe you can tell me what I've found :P
At this link there's an image at the bottom of a guy wearing a purple kat helm, don't know what it is so here's the link
http://www.harrymack.com/blog-75.html
In this video one of the Gm's appear. She seems to be wearing something I con't quite recognise so yeh.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD_aRwx0gtQ&feature=related
If you watch youtube vids with the GMs in them, you can see they have some totally different stuff.
GM Glaucus was using a crowbar in one of them :) but yeh, it was fun searching and discovering stuff I never knew existed! :D

@jenny
OP needs screenshots of actual people using/wearing rare items in-game with names and preferably the stat bars.

why do you players even care? i get it, if a GM cares and steps in. But OOO is perfectly capable of handling their own business. Let them step in if its necessary. they read and monitor the forums, don't need a bunch of mall cops reaching for their empty holsters.

Because I want a decent community. If I'm not willing to work for a decent community then I don't deserve one.

doesn't make the community un-decent.
And if it does let the mods decide. its not for you to decide.

The tortodrone already has a page on the wiki, but WOW, thanks for noticing that brown, open eyed cap. There's just two more to go: The brown closed eye one and the white open eyed one and there will be all 7 kat hats found. (although nowhere near enough info for pages /sadface)
"and yay! Saw A LOT of the things your probably looking for in their promotional video. Cant believe it looked so different back then! here's a link
Oops, completely forgot about that.
*The guy at the start with a Spiral Sallet is carrying the Shining Shield perhaps?
*Frost Sword, BAM, right at 13 seconds being carried by the person in the yellow Tailed Helm. Seems to have a charge attack identical to the calibur just causing freeze as well.
*At 21 seconds you can see the argent peacemaker, long before it was released.
*At 23 you can see chroma dude charging an old model of the avenger and in the background the guy firing the callahan has the purple kat hat
*24 seconds you can see the purring cap and restored ancient plate mail person carrying a frost sword again, As well as the guy with the camera has megalodon gear
*29 you see the old angelic gear
*Shining shield pops up at 35 where you get a better look at the argent peacemaker (was a GM weapon until its official release)
*Actually at 44 i think that restored ancient plate mail was just heavy plate mail. bummer.
I'm sure you've noticed during the video that the defender had a different design
*at 1:01 you see overly large kats. Can't fathom what they were.
At this link there's an image at the bottom of a guy wearing a purple kat helm, don't know what it is so here's the link
That's supposedly the Kat Hat that GM Boswick was often seen wearing. Thanks for the link.
In this video one of the Gm's appear. She seems to be wearing something I con't quite recognise so yeh.
I've already combed through that video and all the other Youtube videos regarding GMs and have assembled this page:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Template:GMgear
I might need screenshots of the equipped gear though as youtube videos don't give very good quality, and Vokster forgot to profile view GM Cronus, who is the only GM wearing the Nose helm.

If you could post those screenshots that would be excellent.

You may have some of these already but im uploading all i got just in case you need a better quality version of it or something :x
GM Hyperion

GM Cronus

Didnt get a picture of Cronus's armor stats but atleast i got his full character.

I've already got all the stats and names for the GM armors, and low quality youtube video equipped images of them.
Thanks for the higher quality pics tho, saves me from spending my download limit on them.
I've noticed Hyperion loves mucking around a bit more than he should, while the other GMs I've seen are fairly serious and prefer to just fix the bug then leave.
Uploaded bucket helm image.
Created Basic Armor Page
Created Open Nose Helm Page.
OH EXCELLENT! Thanks for the Cronus profile image. With this the Nose Helm page can be fully created.

Go post in this thread. Read the inflammatory comments near the bottom. This is a valid thing to complain about. Poor suggestion (IMO), but hideous respond by some (one) poster.

@Hexzyle: That's what i love about Hyperion! xD

I've sent out emails to the leading members of SGA, hopefully they get back to me with something.

Just saying that I'm pretty sure the guys stopped using those emails. They have all had it with the game and basically don't want anything to do with it. Astral is mia, jesus will kill you for mentioning sk, Tyran has no decent internet access at his college and mav.. is just mav. Raii, zard, zaf and I still play in game, but again most of our data and information has been misplaced through moving forums numerous times and that database is pretty much all we have to show.
I can tell you now that the chroma and sala skins have not changed (apart from a bit of cleaning up); templar bucket helm is exactly the same as the spiral bucket (or whatever the first in the plate line is) and boswick once sported a shining ward.

Well, whatever. Just exhausting all possibilities of getting info.
Could YOU tell me the name of the brown kat hat? Or would shoebox perhaps know?

Found pics of Shock Troika on the forums. Please don't kill me guys.

Thar you go Hexzle
Edit: @Pladypus Aww, it kinda looks cool, imma leave it in there lol

@Nubskills
Can you remove that last one? It's mine and made in spiral spy with a heavily customized character so it won't help much.

"Thar you go Hexzle"
Lol, that first picture was made by me, anyway, as a zoomed in image of another image.
I would die for a stat image/icon image/description/name of it though :D
I've found two names that could possibly be it, but I'm not going to post them until I'm sure, or they get a mention somewhere other than the code.

So you did. I didn't realise that a comma could be placed in the page name. oops. I'll be moving these pages over to their correct names shortly.

which one? :P
Also, anyone know what the Admin Snipe's names are to this date?

YAY! I'm glad I could help :) It was really fun looking for all of those.
BTW there are a few broken links on the GMgear page. Just telling you if you didn't know already.
I've screenshot of Atalanta if you want:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198022056485/screenshot/59471785...?
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198022056485/screenshot/59471785...?

Can we just name it "The Broken Sword" (title from the files) for now?

@Jennytheturtle
Atrumvindex brought to my attention that it's possible to put commas in the page names, so I'm in the middle of moving all the pages and pictures associated from "GM_Bucket_Helmet" to "GM_Helmet,_Bucket" which is what they're supposed to be.
I have to wait for Equinox to move the pictures over to thier correct name, or give the "all clear" on reuploading the same images under the new name.
The Pith and Tailed Helms I have images for and enough info for a page, but I'm not going to create pages for them until all the moving has been done.
@Tsujido
WOAH CHEESE!
I saw the prismatic colours for the snipes still in the files, but I didn't realise that GM's still held the ability to transform into snipes. Judging by the inspect window, it appears to be their costume that makes them like that.
Can we get a name/description on those costume pieces?
My original question was what did the GM's change thier names to?
There was Pinwheel, Whirlybird, and Hopfnagel, but what are their current Greek God names?
We've tapped into some really neat info. Thanks for all the images, guys! Although they're bringing up more questions than they are answering XD
@Gismos
I haven't made the page yet but when I do, I'll be sure to use that as the title.
Ho i'm sorry i forgot to take screen about the name of gear.
The helmet sound like "sniped" and the coat is an "invisible" item, it's why we can see only a snipe
He can switch his snipe's color too
If you want you can add on SK at: Levitch
Wow, never heard of the Deep Sea Cuiras but it looks sexy :D
Nice thread btw :p
