All monster families should be toughened/expanded to match the devilites family.
Thesis: monsters from all the families but devilites are too weak in T3. I believe that stages (spikes, fire pits) kill more players than monsters do.
Imagine that you are soloing an arena...
Undead - fine! I mean: the bone missiles are lethal, but everything else is just easy. Maybe not too easy, but easy.
Beasts - skovers teleporting multiple times, attacking the places you are no longer at, and lizards spitting their stuff - nothing a good piercing guy cannot deal with. For me: maybe too easy?
Gremlins - this is something funny! You need to avoid fires, kill meddlers before they revive each other, the gremlins back shields are quite a problem too... Good fun!
Constructs - explosive laser beams, scuttle bots knowing no fear, chasing you mercilessly and huge wooden constructs that really reach far... Also funny!
Jellos - spikes from everywhere - floor and sides! Possible oilers' boiling hell and quicksilvers' thunderstorm or ice cubes' spiky floor experience. Much fun, and a bit of challenge there.
And now imagine you are soloing a devilite-themed arena:
Devilites throw stuff at you from the distance, butterflies always reaching you. Even if you repel them with your shield their attack is still releasing some bullets. This alone is a lethal combination - but wait! There is more! A trojan is hunting for you, so running - even accidentally - straight at him = pwning charge and possible sword slash. And the silkwings to make your efforts even more barren...
Is it funny? Yes. This is the only last remaining situation that gives me this increased heart rate, comparable only to graveyards some months ago. At that times usually only one of the entire party made it barely alive to the lift. Panting, scared and wanting to escape this God forsaken place.
I suggest that all monster families apart from devilites need some expansion and buffing at T3. Why? Because T3 is no longer a challenge. Also: because more of us is nowadays killed by the stage itself (spikes, fire pits etc.) then by the monsters of the other families.
What is the point of game if it is not a challenge anymore? Vandaluke runs are not a challenge - only the Vandaluke floor carries a moderate threat. And Shadow Lairs are exclusive, rare events.

Escaping the main game because it's too easy via some sort of "play by yourself with crap armor" is a rather crap excuse.
It's like if in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, your sword was 15 metres long and did quadruple damage, Nintendo told you if you thought the game was too easy you should try playing it with the controller held upside down.
So many nerfs have been done to Spiral Knights, all in all have made T3 quite easy for most endgame players. :( I would like some monster buffs.
Stronger monsters = more deaths = less crowns = lower CE prices.
Stronger monsters = more deaths = less crowns = lower CE prices.
Or
Stronger monsters = more deaths = more revives = higher CE prices.
But this is not the point! I can buy CE - no problem there. But WHY should I buy it?
Anyway: Game should present a challenge to me. I put a lot of effort into creation of my character - why should I all throw it away and return to inferior gear?
The only challenge I can present myself with is what game I should play next.

+1 to that
If all monsters will be just as fun as devlites, those crybaby noobs will stop complaining how devilites are OP since then all monsters will be fun just as devilites are

more revives = less money the stupid people wasting CE have
Good for them.
CE should be used to pay for crowns, not mistakes.
Use your mist to revive.

The entire game can't be redesigned to suit the needs to a few. Get used to it because this issue comes up with every single MMO in existence. This is not some new revelation.
When you equate challenge with fun, you will never be satisfied. That is why MMO developers ignore these type of requests.

Alchemystic this is not the needs of a few. Every enemy has been nerfed badly from the beginning of open beta until now.
The OP may not have worded his concerns in a uniform manner, but by no means can you say it is untrue that some enemies are complete bores. Take for example the beast family. Neither the chromalisks or the wolvers are even slighly threatening ever since they've been nerfed. Should we just get use to that?
That's learned helpnessness at its very core.

I dont think that OP was seerus posting this.
I am serious. Once the game ceases tobe a challenge, it becomes boring.
I mean: come on! Vandaluke - the strongest commonly available boss - is being killed thousands times a day! I happen to have Vandaluke runs where I do not fall even once.

Yes, the monsters have to be buffed, but make them ALL as powerful as devilites? Thats a bit much, those guys are actually a little overpowered in groups.
The point is that the current monster difficulty is highly unbalanced. Go on the gauntlet mission:
- Jellies and beasts - easy!
- Undead and devilites - maelstrom and stuff everywhere. Good thing this is not a pure devilites arena.
- Gremlins and constructs - a pleasant relax after the devillish hell.
Why?

Yesterday I accomplished Vanaduke upside down. If you are wondering "how can he see upside down??"
Well I got special upside down glasses off eBay. They are really fun to play with. Btw the run was with 3 other people and the stages were done upside down as well

""seerus"
I am serious."
Don't you get it? 'Seerus' is like an SK meme now. We replace all 'serious' with it.
"What is the point of game if it is not a challenge anymore? Vandaluke runs are not a challenge - only the Vandaluke floor carries a moderate threat."
OP is too seerus :P
My profession requires me to write comprehensible, easy-to-follow texts in English. I am, therefore, somehow strict when it comes to "seerus", "get" and other stuff that may mislead people.
[/offtop]
I still need a challenge here folks!
Edit: I am also a brony, so you may expect other kind of wocabulary while in game :) And I do have a perfect Seerus mask.
Yup. And I do not care that http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110314162138/mlpfanart/images/0/...
Repeating: the difficulty level is too damn low!

Seeing as I despise the devilite family...

So...
You should love and tolerate every monster family! Even the devilites!

They break my shields in three hits, they swarm me and by the time I see their attack-warnings it's too late to shield. My gear is useless against them.
EDIT: Gear aside, I suck at fighting them.
I agree that fighting them is difficult - but compare it to fighting a pack of wolvers. Where is a challenge in this? No challenge = boredom. Too much challenge = frustration. Currently the scale shows that the boredom prevails :(

Wolvers I find easy.
The only things I have problems with are Zombies, Devilites and Mecha Knights.
So wolvers?

I run gauntlet now. Gauntlet is cool.

Then support this: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/49662
I made it for the sole purpose of difficulty. Critique however.
"Zombies, Devilites and Mecha Knights." - we have so many monsters in the game, but only a few are challenging... I guess that gremlins can be a pain too, but not a threat.
Ummz...
How bout challenging yourself..?
Like soloing Gauntlet(mission) without using heatlh vials...
Shadow lairs can be a challenge how bout save up for that? The patience can be worth it...
You always get into floor hazards? Be cautious -.-...
