New "weapon/trinket" that would work like Heat Container. Although you have to equip it in weapon slot (or maybe trinket slot?), you can't attack with it. It gains heat just like any regular item but it won't level up. Everytime you are visiting Guildhall you can store heat from your Heat Container to Guild Forge. Guild Masters can use such stored heat to upgrade Guildhall, add decorations/pets, perhaps guild vendor and so on. I can imagine expirienced guild members with maxed equipment could form Heat Hunters Squads.
Heat Conversion system.
So it's come to my attention that Heat is a nice resource for people leveling their equipment in order to progress their characters, but after your equipment is maxed, then what? It goes to waste; it serves absolutely no purpose at that point.
Proposal: Create a system that converts excess Heat not used in upgrading equipment. Either make it convertable into CE or Crowns, be able to store it in a filling container of some kind for selling or using on another piece of equipment later, or something.
I like merethif's idea a lot. You shouldn't be able to sell heat, but using it (perhaps with crowns, energy, and/or materials) to update the guild hall would be a neat way for guilds to have a team goal.
@merethif That Idea is brilliant
I concur epicly with merethif, in fact, i was just complaining about how un-spiffy the hall is!
That sounds great. I like the idea of having a container for it.
Either merethif's idea, or a CE converter. This would lower the price of CE substantially (market balance?), but a GUild Hall dump would make the Guild Hall more interesting for sure. Both would be fantastic.
I like the guild hall idea from merethif!
Merethif i agree with you like so many others
Nice idea merethif. I agree.
It's not very intrusive, it doesn't effect CE, and it puts all the extra heat I would be wasting (since I have maxed out all the stuff I have to use at present) to good use. I do hope this idea makes it somewhere.
Merethif is a boss
Barring that, at give us some kind of numerical value. Ya know, sort of as a high score mechanism. =P
Storing heat, then converting them to energy. Good plan!
@Merethif: Signed.
Merethif's idea does sound pretty nifty. :)
Another possible idea for a, er... "heat sink" would be some kind of crafting experimentation procedure where you can take a heat 10 piece of equipment and add some kind of bonus (UV's or some entirely different selection/category of improvement) at the cost of some mats and returning the weapon back to its fully unheated state... at which point you could level it BACK up to level 10 heat and repeat the process to make it even better (there'd be a limit to how many times this process could occur, of course).
I've always liked the idea of being able to use it as a boost in-game.
For example, using a chunk of heat to restore 1 health bar, or to temporarily buff your damage by a small amount.
Something like this would greatly enhance gameplay value.
Merethif's idea is boss.
Does Three Rings read these threads?
"Does Three Rings read these threads?"
They've made comments in a few. So, yes, but possibly in a kind of haphazard way.
