I just recently downloaded window 8 the preview version unknowing that after the update im unable to play spiral knights
I was frustrated at the creators of window 8. but I suppose it ether window 8's or spiral knights' problem.
I used to run windows 7 and spiral knights went fine.
A call out to Game masters: plz contact OOO or Sega about the problem

If anyone knows a solution ether send mail to Dragoonxyz or reply to my post

Everyone hates microsoft :p

But you're using a beta product that hasnt been officially released yet. Obviously you wont find much support yet.

You may want to add more

You may want to add more technical details about the errors you're having. SK is written in Java, a platform independent language. As long as Java runs on Windows 8, SK will too.

- Describe in detail what steps you've taken to install and run SK.
- Describe which version of Java you installed. You will need to install *BOTH* 32 and 64-bit of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) if you are running 64-bit.
- Copy and paste/type out error messages you've received.

Edit:
I searched and there seems to be some problems with Windows 8 + Java Plug-in (that is the component to allow Java running from inside browser). But JRE itself should be fine.

So try downloading the client directly: see second post in http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/2247

Edit2:
Metro is plugin free. No Flash, no Java. So it won't work if you are hitting the Play Now button. Switch back to the old Windows desktop and try again.
