So in one of the threads about confetti, the words "confetti alchemer" came up, and it is to my understanding that many players actually value said confetti.

Why not create a reskinned alchemer that shoots confetti for the featured auctions? Its been ages since anything has came out for the featured auctions, and players like Njthug and Rommil need something else to buy at this point. Obviously, it would either be either a reskinned umbra driver or nova driver, or even both as variations, but the effects would all be changed to the confetti effect, and the bullets would be made to resemble the color of confetti. Another option would be to reskin an iron slug and add the confetti effect to that, calling it a 'confetti cannon'.

sadly i have a Divine Veil so i accidently kill the Fiend in the process...
+1 to Confetti Cannon. Slugs need some love too

p.s. the Yesman fiends are actually quite nice and dont attck you so i just like sitting next to them :D

Hm....the scatter shot like the autogun would be cool.....but what if it were more like a blaster? When the bullet hits a monster,block,the end of its range,etc.,it explodes and does like the actual confetti item does when you use it......the charge would be similar,but with a bigger ball of confetti and a larger explosion.

Nah, the actual confetti would have be smaller and less intrusive, or else a party of 4 with max ASI could turn it into the old office party mission and lag the screen from the sheer amount of virtual strips of paper.

I remember that. It was silly.

It could be a reskin of Magnus where the confetti appears where the bullet impacts or vomit confetti as a reskinned Autogun.

Like a sealed sword, normal damage and random status, wich would affect the conffetti color.
It'd still be a colourfull rainbow of confetti if no status triggers.

Is it a small burst at the bullet impact?

Will the NPC explode into a column of confetti upon getting hit much like when a knight uses confetti?

I personally see this being a Blaster line variant.

The normal attacks make small bursts of confetti on impact, but the charge attack makes a ton of confetti explode.

How about 'marking' enemies with it so they leave a confetti trail? Strikers will be nyan cats and Recons will rage.

Yeah,

The enemy / player gets hit by the bullet. Then, they burst into confetti like a normal player would when they use a confetti. Then for three seconds afterwards, you can see a confetti trail that will show even if the player is using a recon cloak.

I am too, which is why I suggested it.

Optimally it would replace the "hitting the target" burst with the confetti effect, and the rest would just be normal, although I wouldn't mind it dropping confetti when fired either.

I wouldn't mind a confetti bomb either, although OOO would probably have to edit the effect for the confetti a bit if they did go for it. But if they do read this, and favor a bomb, I'm all for it.
