Toggling matchwide options (Revives/UVs/Auto-Target) through custom Lockdown lobbies for "competitive" play.

UPDATE: Since spectator mode has been implemented, I have updated my original post. To streamline this thread, I'll let discussion regarding improvements to spectator mode take place in other threads specifically made for the topic.
While the current guild lockdown scene has a healthy sized community of competitive players, limitations in the game's features currently hinder our ability to organize competitive events such as tournaments. The main reason for this is due to aspects of the game design that compromise the ability to create the level playing field required in tournament events. Specifically, I am referring to UVs and energy revives.
Therefore, I propose the ability to create custom lobbies for guild lockdown matches, which would allow match-wide enabling/disabling of various features such as UVs, energy revives and auto-target.
Since OOO may want to be compensated for removing an option such as energy revives, I for one would not be opposed to having to spend energy to create a custom lobby. However, I don't feel that energy revives in lockdown are a significant CE sink as most people are only inclined to revive themselves on mist, and I certainly don't believe that CE for revives is a motivating factor when someone purchases an energy pack. Therefore, while it would be extra awesome if these features were available for free, I would still be grateful to see my suggestion implemented even if I had to spend energy to use it.
Let's keep the discussion about these suggestions away from arguing over the merits of UVs/revives/auto-target. The whole point of the suggested system is to allow players to decide what they want in their matches, thereby eliminating the need to argue in the first place.

This would be great for playing fun games against people you know.
It would probably be best if the standard 200 cr buy in remained and the bribe option and krogmo coin rewards were removed to prevent farming. Custom games should also not affect leaderboards.

Really, this is a great idea. I've been wanting to organize a large PVP event called Knightly Olympics, but I can't do much with the current system, aside from snipe herding competitions (Who can heard them the fastest?), poetry/art, and a special clockworks thing which I won't mention here because it would be VERY long to describe it, aside from receiving a penalty for healing.

Agreed some guilds take GLD way too seriously and auto rev like crazy or have so much cheap uvs that renders some of our weapons useless.

If you'd like a skill-oriented lockdown play diverted from a game favoring pay-top-play ce rev spam, +1 this.

Just read this. This just might eliminate all the negative factors you mentioned. And even if it meant spending ce, in order to have a decent and overrall enjoyable match, I am in full support of this.

I thought it meant specifically the lobbies where you spawn in, not setting rules for the match and what not. Just to clarify:
- Toggle UVs
- Toggle energy reviving
- Toggle auto aim (which should probably be universally disabled anyway, but what do I know)
- Spectating (spectators would only be able to follow members of the team they were invited to watch excluding their Recons)
By toggling I mean universally disabled/abled for the match for all participants.

Here's the thread on the suggestions for the recon class I had. Though I think custom lobbies are are more important to have first.

Excellent suggestions; custom lobbies would be great for a competetive scene, general testing, and messing around with friends.

this suggestion is way better than a certain guild's rage thread towards the spectator mode.
in addition to previous suggestions also considering factors such as maybe:
1. time limit of the match
2. how many points on the map
3. the amount of players (it would be cool to customize a match with as many as 8 people per team and as little as 2v2)
4. also if you could make it so u could do almost like a pick up game where lets say the person who paid for the custom match chooses another captain and invites certain people to come and then pick teams. (obviously by having an alt guild this can already be done but still)
i like the originial ideas as well just thought these would be some cool add-ons as well

I am +1-ing it, But you have to know that there is little to no chance of competitive SK, Spiral Knights is a Casual game, its not meant for pro 1337 gameplay unlike Starcraft or TF2.
Not only that, but THE ENTIRE LD IS JUST W+M2 and sometimes X, It takes little to no skill, and Is more Unbalanced than Boswick's wacky brain....

I find it ironic that you say that, Grittle, as the current system is incredibly competitive. Having UVs, AA, Polaris, trinkets and ce revives causes people to get very competitive and challenging. Removing all of that would actually make it more casual. You just go in to play against people and skill, you play against someone with the exact same gear as you; that's balanced, that's casual.
Right now you're going in and getting ganked with a Skolver w/ 2x your hp, max EVERYTHING and immunities to all your weapons. That's competitive gameplay, for 1337 pro obsessives and insanely unfriendly to casual players.

Tell that to the strikers in T2 loadouts that kill everyone in max UVs and heart trinkies. There is a definite skill margin involved.
Unless you're Jempire, then you just unleash the Trollaris from all directions.

i also hope that their can be interruptions between matches. for example, if on guy on your team disconnects or leaves. you can invite someone else from your guild to fill the slot. the new guy that is invited will be following the set rules at the beginning. also, i was wondering it we could even edit the map we choose to fight in, hmm well maybe not an edit as changing the trap locations, but an edit as to increasing the traps that is laid out which would be automatically laid out evenly for both sides. not only traps, but things like fire pots, missals, snowball. that way we could either exclude or add more of them. they don't affect the game that much, but still has an effect. the editing will be free of charge of course.

i/m tired of getting my arse kicked by uv users yet i want to be able to fight them fully when i get to that point. I've never used Asi really high or CTR ultra high. ridiculous stuff that's hard to get unless you've payed for it with tons of crowns or rolled you wealth on a 5* wep.

Even ignoring the fact that this would make lockdown more competitive and fun it would be worth it just to cut down on all the whining and the whining about the whining.

Agree 100%, LD could be spread to a whole new level and more if they put this in. Many more people would see interest in Lockdown which would only benefit Three Rings.
