How is it that Avengers are selling at 700-600 CE
and Faust is selling at around the same price?
i had a friend who actually bought 3 avengers at 17k,19k, and 20k respectively.
arent they suppose to be the best weapons?

wat

I'm not sure what the question is here.

Current CE prices at the time of writing: roughly 4000crowns per 100CE. Cheapest is now 3900cr per 100CE.

So at 600CE, that works out to 23400cr minimum (3900 x 6). And I'm not accounting for other cost factors (crafting costs, rare mats, eg Mug of Misery for Faust); 23400 is purely from a CE-to-crowns conversion. My assumption would be that most people would build this into their price.

So, the complaint is that prices are too high..? Too low..?

Prices have dropped so much

Prices have dropped so much because the market has been saturated with these weapons now. The game has been out long enough where some players do enough JK runs to make these weapons and to compete against each other they sell it for lower prices.

i think prices are super low.

i think prices are super low. Faust and Avenger series are the best swords in the game. If i assume that players are rational
then they should all ultimately be using these two swords. The demand should be the entire market for swords. But i saw a guy buy a Winmillion for
1k CE when there was an add to sell Faust for 600CE lol

Prices.

So, some people don't do research before they buy things... In any case, the presence of an Auction House will tighten this up considerably.

The last two Jelly King nerfs

The last two Jelly King nerfs made him a laughing stock and hardly a challenge,It opened up the gates to where any other player could farm the weapons easily, on top of that Jelly Runs are the most popular for grinding anyways, the Recipes are not hard to find either so and with common knowledge that this weapons are good & popular everyone makes them and thats how you get an over saturated market.

TDLR : THe Devs aren't very bright.

Unless of course...

...the devs aren't concerned with an oversaturated market. After all, one result of a market flooded with resources is that it makes the game more accessible. Not to mention the invisible hand and all.

invisible hand only applies

invisible hand only applies to an efficient market where consumers have all the info they need to make a good choice.
This does not exist in the current economy since people dont know who is selling at the lowest price when there is no
auction house.

There's still

There's still www.clockworkmarket.com for listing items in the meanwhile.

I don't think the faust and avenger are the best swords in the game. They're certainly awesome, and some of the best, but the title of "best" depends greatly on the user.

Faust/Avenger were "the best"

Faust/Avenger were "the best" weapons because they were the only swords that did anything other than normal damage and went to 5*. Not only is the supply higher but now they're also competing with the Brandish line for typed damage.

i dont really feel like

i dont really feel like brandish line is really a competition.

I'd have to disagree, now you

I'd have to disagree, now you have 2 sword lines competing for "typed damage". Imho they're just different and suited to different playstyles, especially since the brandish line has a safer charge attack (you can shield almost instantly and it has a short animation, opposed to the Faust/Avenger's)

Saturated market

Too many sellers and too little buyers.

faust and avenger charges are

faust and avenger charges are both ranged so u wouldn't be close to ppl when u use it neway
altho i guess play style is also a factor.

@FlashbackJon You realize

@FlashbackJon
You realize developers need to balance out both Profit AND Longevity of a game, right? All the nerfs did apart from satisfying some whiny players was severely cut the lifespan of the game.

Not all people play the game the same

Some people enjoy dressing-up in game. Some people enjoy soloing. Some people enjoy socializing. Some people enjoy the epeen aspect. Some people find grind farming strangely relaxing. Some people like to take it fast. Some people like to be slow and methodical. Some people like to create Rube Goldburg situations set up the monster to trigger a chain of events to get them to kill each other. I am guilty of some of these practices or all of them some of the time.

Items like Royal Jelly Crown or Rose Regalia are examples of dressing-up in game to cater to the RPG and SCA geeks. There is a costume option for helmet and tabbard. I do indeed get requests to make the crown from people who just like to look kingly. People will pay handsomely just to look spiffy which is why there is also a market for Regalia costumes.

You should see the crazy prices people will pay for out of production Battletech gaming minatures and insignia items. The SK market is looking more like after Christmas sales when the rush to get the most hyped toys has died down.

The slow and methodical players don't quite get the ADHD mindset of the need for speed players. There are weapons to cater to both mindsets or a combination thereof. Special people can multitask both mindsets.

The game caters to all kinds of mindsets while its developers find ways to employ fresh endgame content.

The two branches can fight

The two branches can fight amongst themselves all they want. I may get a Divine Avenger in the future, but right now my Leviathan Blade is all I need for anything. Does just fine in Firestorm too.

Yeah Pollywog, just like the cost of CE itself. It just keeps going down and it's like nothing can bring it up.

As more and more people hit t3 prices will obviously drop for several reasons. Less people trying to reach t3 means less demand for the item, and more people that are trying to grind UVs for that item leading to an overabundance of it.

Maybe the autosell (to NPC)

Maybe the autosell (to NPC) should give a higher value. That would lower the number of sellers, since quite a lot of sellers (myself included) are just trying to get rid of our materials for a decent earning. 1 crown for each material doesn't exactly sustain the by-now 6000ish cost just for 100 crystal energy units.
