This is a horrible bug. I've rarely been able to change my loadout. And I often need/want to.
And they force you to go trough this in order to craft certain items.
So from now on, every time is happens, bug report. <3
And I know it belongs in Bug Reports, but making it in GD and moving. <3
Did I mention Krogmo though I was doing nothing and didn't give me my coins?

But in all seriousness, I've never had this issue, but I've heard of it. I'd recommend finding one load-out that you feel most confident with, and until the bug is fixed, you use that in your matches. Is this a common issue with many? I've never heard of this really.

Poke, I have 2 main loadouts, a gunner and a swordie one. Sometimes I have to switch (bombers happen, or just tired of the other).

I experience this bug as well. Sometimes I can work around the problem by equipping another loadout and then going back to the one I originally wanted. It's quite an annoying bug.
However, this brings up another question: why do we even need preset loadouts for Lockdown anyway? Why can't we just equip any weapon that meets the tier requirements? I have like 20 Lockdown loadouts, and each loadout differs by one bomb, sword, etc. If I replace my Final Flourish, I'm going to have to remake all 20 of my loadouts. I don't get it.

I agree with Goofio but I think it's because of changing weapons causing more bugs, lockdown is a glitchy minigame, also when the glitch/bug happens to me I usually walk out of the locker room and come back in. I dunno

Seerusly Three Rings, this bug and the Divine Avenger bug (Gee most common sword has an unfixed bug since like i started this game *facedesk*) are the most annoying ones.

Loadouts are there so you can't equip higher tiered gear in T1/2 LD. The reason they are different from just changing single pieces of gear at once is that you have to mark loadouts as being active for PvP or not. Marking individual weapons would be a pain everytime you switched tiers. Although perhaps an automatic marking system would be useful - eg. Apply for tier 2 LD --> 4/5* equipment automatically unmarked. That probably won't help fix the bug though, seeing as the problem is the system registering that you are in the locker room.

I found that spamming ZXCV keys - (not sure but I'm thinking one of them is a hotkey that's somehow related to the bug) will sometimes get the ability to change loadouts back.

@Seiran No, It's just by random chance, I've done several tests on it, After I've died I've tried clicking the loadout you want repetedly until it says: "Equip Loadout". Now I'll admit, This bug is really annoying and needs to be fixed badly, So +1.

Equipping higher-tiered gear in lower tiers is something that could be prevented with some programming checks. I'm saying the loadout system for PvP could be improved by allowing players to change individual weapons in addition to using preset loadouts. So if I want to change a sword in the locker room, I don't need an entirely new loadout (but I can make one if I choose).

The solution
Hey guys, I know what this is, and I don't think it is a bug.
Quick run through of how it works
To change loadouts during any lockdown match, you must die and the respawn time has to be at least over 10 seconds. It lets you change your loadout when the screen is back in the locker room, whether you have respawned or not. When you respawn, you can still change your loadout, AS LONG AS YOU ARE IN THE LOCKER ROOM. As soon as you LEAVE the room, you won't be able to change your loadout (even if you just brush past the line and quickly jump back in, it won't work) until you die for at least over 10 seconds again and the camera moves back in there.

Yes. I've had this happen to me many, many times. May I suggest that you change the topic title to something more descriptive like "Unable to change LD loadout in Locker Room"?
