Greetings everyone, I'm here to share with me what I've learned and promote the new Asian server! I play as Enclave so feel free to add me xP

Now then, as you all know us Asians/Australians have been pleading for an Asian server for a long time. I've even made vids on so have others and countless of forum threads have been made. Now Three Rings didn't exactly make one for us, instead they sold their rights to distribute Spiral Knights in Asia to GameCyber, so this Asian server is not managed by Three Rings, but aside from minor changes this server is in fact identical to the US/EU one.
However, the biggest catch is that this server is privatized, meaning not connected to the main one in any way. You have to make a new character and start from the beginning. As the GM's have told me Three Rings has no say in this server so there is absolutely no way for us to transfer our gear. The other catch is that right now the majority of players in that server are Chinese, so you'll probably wanna join the guild i started up (Alliance) since its the first and right now the only English guild in the server.
With that being said, I think the latency is 100x better over there, so much that starting over is worth it to me to be able to play with that amazing connection, to be able to do things i could never possibly do in the main server.
Q/A:
1. Is starting over worth it?
- If your living in Asia or Australia you will defiantly understand our pain, how incredibly unplayable Spiral Knights is at time. To quote one of the co-founders of Alliance: "This is like a different game with this connection"
2. But what about my uber 1337 gear that i worked so hard for/payed for!?!?!?!
- Unfortunately right now there is no way to transfer gear and believe me i feel your pain. I'd do anything to get to play with my toys on this server.
3. Is Lockdown active? Can i kill Asians on this server!?
- Yeeeeeeeep its alive and active! T2 is mostly the active one, since your average player in this server has T2 gear. Its filled with a lot of noobs though, but there are Duskers and toothpick users here so watch out!
UPDATE: Now T3 LD has taken over :P
Guild lockdown wise, I haven't seen much of this. In Alliance we have had more than enough online to make a GvG several times, but It's due to lack of opponents we haven't been able to do GvG yet.
4. What is this Alliance you keep mentioning?
- Alliance is the guild i created in the Asian server. Its an all English guild, being able to speak English is a natural requirement to join. My co-founders are Etendue (Hyperion in the Asian server) and Disposed. (Same name in the Asian server)

Sooooo now that we got the basics covered, let me give you some advice about this server since I've had a chance to see it for myself
and lets go over the difference from the main server.
- Community
Unfortunately this server doesnt quite have the community that we have on the main one, your not gonna see dozens of randoms in Haven all day nor will lockdown be active at all times. This is simply due to the fact that this is a new server, new players are still coming in and more and more people are moving on from the main server. Its for this reason I created the guild "Alliance" along with my friends Etendue (Hyperion on the Asian server) and Disposed, to create an English guild and establish a community for English players in the asian server.
- Crystal Energy Prices
Like stated earlier the game is new, there is nowhere near as much CE being bougth here as in the main server likewise there are much less crowns coming into the market. In fact not a lot of people have reached 5* and those who has have mostly paid money. So CE prices might fluctuate a lot, I've seen it change from 5k to 8k in mere days. I would personally adivise you to wait for buying CE with CR until the prices is about 6,xxx-ish since thats the average price.
- Font, Language and Name
Okay rather small change, but the font on this server is different. You will also notice a lot of players use Chinese names on this server with confuses me greatly <.< If you register please use an English name, makes it so much easier for everyone else in the English community. And when making your character, there is a 8-character limit on your name instead of the 18-character limit on the main server. Which is why i play as Enclave over there, and not Enclavean.
- Censorship
In this server its not possible to turn off the filter. Also a lot of words are censored that may not seem like curse words to us however mean something bad in Chinese. Like the words "making" and "test" are both censored. However writing "Making" and "Test" with capital letters in front do not censor it for some reason. (I have yet to grasp how censoring works here <.<)
UPDATE: Appears to be some sort of bug, a Chinese GM has been informed of it.
- Auction House and UV Market
Whooo-boy, I'll just say straight out no "real" market has been established in this server. Trade is empty, the auction house has very few UVed items due to lack of the rage-crafter playerbase (Hurry yo butts in here rage-crafter xD) and just generally because the game is new and not a lot of people have started hunting like crazy for UV's. Regarding materials, you may notice that there are less of them in AH meaning the prices are more expensive. I recommend you do not buy from AH, if you join us in Alliance we usually share our mats with each other.
Featured Auction is also usually empty with the exception of items being put up there from time to time. Like one time, they had Divine Glasses up which sold for 50k ish. No halos or wings yet!
- Daily Reward and other events
There are constantly events and such going on. I.E getting free mist tanks, unbind tickets etc. Some are daily rewards some are one-time only. Feel free to ask around in the guild and we're happily let you know if there are any events you might be missing out on. :)

@Prestopotato: Try going here: http://zh.web.gamecyber.net/gcGameMain/game.php?game=5 then click on the "GC" login button and enter your info. That should take you to the right page.

@Soulstaker: Nope, these servers are not connected at all so their mist is seperate.
@Prestopotato: In the original sign up page, you had 2 rows, one to enter your pin and one to confirm it. So on that page you only have to enter it once no need to confirm it. To put it into simple words, the color code you put on the first row the first time is the same one you put on the one row on that page.

I spend some time in the Middle East, so I created an account (username is "not") but may not be very active.
Quick question: do you know if there's a way to sign in through the client itself, rather than through the website?
Edit: Seems we logon using something similar to the Steam protocol, of the form "gamecyber:######". But the Asia client doesn't seem to give any sort of manual login option. Any ideas?

Also, in case no body else has put it up here there are 2 asian servers- Hong Kong & Taiwan- and they seem to be as separate as the asian/US servers are. It's not like the US/EU server on normal SK, to change servers you have to download another SK, make a new character and start again... I made it all the way through the rescue camp on the Taiwan server only to find there was no player 'Hyperion' on that server.... So now I'm downloading the Hong kong server. Hopefully now no one else will make my mistake XD

@Artceps: As far as i know, there is no English GM team in the asian server. There are Chinese GM's though however i have no idea how to contact them nor can speak Chinese. :p
@Azkallion: Yeah i added arrows in my video pinpointing which is the HK and which is the Taiwan. I do NOT recommend the Taiwan one, i tried it and i got one dot instead of the 3 bars i get on the HK. Also everyone seeem to go for HK so you'd be alone :P

@Nottheanswer: Unfortunately the login has to be done via the website, we havent found any work around for this particular problem yet. Just enable the "Ask to place shortcut on desktop" in the settings so when you close the game it will let you place a shortcut on the desktop taking you to the sign in page for faster access :)

Yeah i found out myself earlier. A GM's gonna come in BN and our goal is to blow him up atleast once and we'll get an award. Which is pretty cool, if only 6 GM's would come form a T2 GvG team to fight Alliance I'd be so up for that :P

Instead of the "Create New Account" button click on the "GC" login button. From there just login in with your already made account and follow the same steps. (Except you only have to enter your color code once and you dont need to download the game again)

Most my Chinese friends have moved there, I'm not going to throw away all my shinies and start again under what I know is a 'greedy' company. I'll keep the lag and solo every mission.
Also not to mention their crappy translations... typing everything in Google and adding their own thoughts to make is look 'legit' is just not going to work.
And I hate 'Song Ti’!!!! Looks too 'stick-y'

@Materialist: It's never once been up to 10k, as of typing this the CE price is 6.7k. Please do not post "assumptions" here as people will get the wrong idea, thank you.
@Prestopotato: I believe the page requires Java in order to display properly :) (Or Flash not sure <.< I suggest downloading Java and then trying again. Or just a different browser as suggested above)
@Asukalan: Yes, its in the supply depot for 2,400 CE which is about equivalent to how much it costs with RL money on the main server.

Well, as stated above, I myself and everyone else i know play on the HK server. And i do not recommend the Taiwan server at all because it sucks, I highly recommend everyone who joined the Tawianese server to move to the HK one instead.

@Entropize: Replied to your YouTube comment. That white screen is the loading screen and should only take seconds before the actual download starts. You could try refreshing and making sure your Java is up to date.

@Vescrit: The servers are mostly the same, just owned by different companies. There isnt anything other than the daily prizes and elevator passes that the main server doesnt have. And until now, the daily prize works fine, and I dont think they are gonna remove it o.O one day we even got a full mist tank, lol
I suggest everyone should at least try the server for once, maybe you will like it ^^

Seems interesting enough, even though I'd be leaving behind my shinies and lovely armor it would be nice to see how SK would be while everything is kind of in flux atm. Though if Asia players lagged on US and EU, I'm sure we'd lag on Asia servers.

True, the price in Taiwan server is ridiculously high, such as 1k for 1 brimstone, even hard for ppl to pass 'hot edge' mission and extremely hard to make a good start, from what I know HK server has CE price around 6~7k as you have stated.

@Vescrit: Not much else than what i already stated in the OP. A few US\EU players who came in told me it was like an adventure to visit us in this exciting new server ^^
@Aumir: They havent launched OCH yet, they launched BN just this week and a "blow up the GM" event to follow it. Wouldnt be surprised if OCH is buyable with CE which will kinda make a lot of us look at OOO and wonder whats taking them so long.

On a side note we're growing everyday over there <3 The guild is over a third full already.

Went the the Taiwan server... Kinda lonely. But I can actually play it. HK gives me 1 bar. I hope in the future both servers will have at least a good amount of players in each haven and create a better economy.

These two servers are SEPERATE, unlike what we have, Eu/US :P
They can buy ele-passes.
They have everyday events, such as finding a GM winning some CE, items.
We have nothing like that... some interaction between GMs and players would be nice, OOO :c

I also play on that server xD
My IGN there is "Sokka", and on the main servers its "Diarhajrizi", I was one of the few English speaking players there, and I love playing there <3
At first, I joined for fun, because I have 3 bars on the EU server. Enc was telling me about it and I got interested to check it, then I really liked it D: dont know why, probably because the guild is very active and friendly and we help each other too :3
Sadly, I have 1 bar there :( as stated earlier, I joined for fun and not because I lag on the main servers (now Im starting to feel others' pain >.>), but that server is attracting, FOR UNKNOWN REASONS!!! D:
I do Jelly King runs everyday, usually with guildies :3 Sometimes I rage about lag, sometimes I dont...
I currently have 2 and 3-star gear, but thats only average, because even has 5* players!
If you wanna sign up and play, I wish you good luck on the rest of the game, if you dont wanna play, I dont wish you good luck :p
Also, Alliance is the first English guild (probably the only one), so if you want a guild where you can actually TALK to others, you can join Alliance :3
