I'm tied in the middle about 2 haze bombs. Which bomb is safer to use in a party, AoA or VT? As you can see, I'm support bombing, but I don't which bomb is the least threat to a party. VT has that nice shock that stops enemies from moving and attacking when layered, but shield bumping in a crowd of mobs most likely won't do you well. AoA has constant damage when layered, but enemies can still attack. I'm using these bombs in whatever stratum that isn't the same status btw. One more question, which armor should I use, Mad Bomber or Volcanic? I'm both a team player, but do very well solo and can handle more than enough enemies in a single room. I'm more than likely soloing, but I can cope with most parties using nitronome/DBB.

If you only plan on using mist bombs, Volcanic Demo is what you want. The damage bonus from Mad is essentially wasted because the actual damaging part of the explosion is small. It also does not affect the damage of the status. I'd say use AoA in any area that isn't fire themed. The pure damage is more useful and less obstructive than shock.

AoA is arguably safer
Shock can be a bit dangerous, in that it can make monster movements unpredictable, and it can hinder knockback and kiting. When you're strongly influencing the monsters' behaviors in this way, you may disrupt the tactics of your fellow knights. So Ash of Agni is arguably safer.
Of course, shock's ability to inhibit monsters' movements and attacks can also be really useful. In devilite levels, having all of the monsters shocked can let the party mow through them, taking comparatively little damage.
Oatmonster is right about the armor. If you're using primarily status-spreading bombs, then you're benefiting only a little from damage bonus, so you shouldn't really be willing to carry the poor defense of Mad Bomber.

i'm in the same boat
I'm currently asking similar bomber questions as Snarfalarkus.
I plan on going a support bomber very similar to Snarfalarkus but plan on going with:
Volcanic Demo helm and suit for VH CTR
Shivermist buster
Venom viler (I understand it's weak but it doesn't break ice)
nitro bomb (when my team isn't being useful and they deserve a blinding)
(only have 3 weapon slots and 1 trinklet slot)
P.S. i love reading Bopp's comments, they are so knowledgable.

That sounds fine. I guess your slot could go to either a health trinkie or an Elite Boom Trinket for your Nitro.
You may also wish to get a Dark Briar Barrage at some point, which is less obnoxious than the Nitro, screenflash-wise. It also doesn't fling monsters everywhere, since it has knockdown instead of knockback. (Plus, it has cool holo Snarbolii when the fuse goes off. I mean, you can't get all that much more awesome.)
If you're a support bomber, have you ever thought about the Vortex lines, by the way? They are extremely helpful in clumping enemies together and setting them right up for a Brandish-line or Antigua-line charge to the face.

@bopp, your suggestions are very helpful, as always, and I believe I will go with voltaic tempest and ash of agni (While still getting a shivermist for vanaduke).

I also find it kinda creepy. I mean, I just killed a Love Puppy, and it says it's going to remember me forever?
I would use both if at all possible. it also depends on what kind of monsters ur fighting. If ur doing FSC i would go with the VT and mad with Soaking Wetstone Pendant times 2. Other wise i would use AoA with mad and appropriate trink.
