The poor thing would be kicked from his beloved guild and still its fun to play LD/trade things anonymously (that's why I created him). This started out as a giveaway. The OP played on our sympathies to having what looks like an item with great value, but due to lack of demand or interest they couldn't seem to sell it.
And then Xcel chimes in letting us know that this item had a going price of 2.2m cr.
Now I am certainly not here to whine or anything like that, no no, let me make my intentions for this post perfectly clear: I simply want to make a point. And that point is: if you're going to start a thread with the intentions of giving away an item, then follow through with it. Don't cop out at the end if you're disappointed that no one was able to win at your game. I am sure plenty of people on your friends list would be thrilled to have a cap like the one you just sold. If your game didn't go over well, simply give it to one of them instead, rather than stringing the rest of us along.

This was all for fun, I dont care about the final price or the real value of that c(r)ap. Easy came, easy go. @Derpules: Yes, I did read. I think you missed my point though, and that was: If you're going to do a giveaway then do a giveaway. Why bother with the Auction House, especially with the claim that you couldn't sell the item? I suppose the original post should then read: "I couldn't Sell my Triple MAX UV'd Skolver Cap [Outside The Auction House] So I'm giving it away on 1 condition!" I took a more global stance on the phrase 'couldn't sell' as thinking that this included the AH to begin with. Putting an item of this magnitude on the AH for a Buy It Now price of 69 cr would indeed be near equivalent to giving it away, but it is clear now that this wasn't the case.
Another piece of information that would help clarify why I thought putting it on the AH was in contradiction with the original intent of this topic: Laylla indicated that (s)he was planning to retire. So my thoughts of a retiring player are: Why even bother with the auction house when you're planning to stop playing? What would a retired player do with 2.3m crowns? I suppose you could evenly distribute these monies between friends, which is a very acceptable answer to explaining the logic behind selling it at the AH, but I don't know if that is the intent. I'm simply pointing out that something seems missing in the logic of this contest.
I suppose what I am really trying to say here is that If i were in Laylla's position, I would go about it in a very different way. Sorry to beat a dead horse(topic).

...what you're saying is, you didn't read, since it was clearly indicated that if no one mailed the alt with the right message, in the timeframe of the contest, the cap would be put on the AH. As for the whole 'retiring' thing, you might also note all of the quitting sales in the bazaar: just because someone is retiring from the game doesn't mean they're going to give all their stuff away for free.
