My take on how the GMs discovered Aphrodite and recruited her. =3
Short story time! A special, original story, focused on something other than the knights themselves. A curious twist on... well, you tell me what it is!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Alpha Male Canis Lupus sat on his haunches, ears erected and nose straight in the air as the smell- no, not the smell, the aroma- of a group of knights wafted towards him. His eyes, trained to perfection, spotted 3 knights, dressed in a thin armor, and all wearing a ridiculous bright green shield and talking lazily among themselves. Seated around the fire, they roasted marshmellows nonchalantly, and talked about the overpriced market and gossiped about pointless things. Lupus licked his lips, and gave a fanged smile to his Pak members.
"Fresh meat," he growled loudly. "Should be easy pickings."
This announcement was met with much assent. The Wulfs had been looking for food for the upcoming winter, but with all the well defended camps, the new shipment of troops to the Haven garrison, the constant flow of new recruits, and the professional players strategizing ways to easily slaughter his Pak members, food had been scarce. Having such an openly blatant meal was a rare blessing.
Canis Lupus licked his chops, but stopped when his tongue touched the tip of the long scar running down his left cheek. That scar, he remembered all to well... it was the one he got from the fight to death for Alpha Male Pak leader... against his brother. His own brother, whom he had loved and respected for his whole life, had challenged him for the leader position. The same one who had taught him how to walk, how to talk, how to hunt, and most of all, how to love and respect the rest of the pack (as a true leader should). Lupus was exemplary in everything, and though his brother was already Alpha, the brother felt threatened by Lupus' overall superiority. Brother turned on brother, which lead to blood, and eventually.... death.
Killing his brother had transformed Lupus into a mindless, vicious killing machine. Lupus, now degenerated into this... monster, of sorts, would toy with his prey, and slaughter the enemy as slowly as possible. He took pride in killing for fun, but the hunting for sport soon took a toll on the forest, and food became scarcer and scarcer.
Lupus stood on overhanging rock, that towered over the valley, and looked down at his prey. 'Such stupid, stupid knights,' he thought. 'Go wandering, with no real means of defense? Very idiotic indeed.' Fangs bared, knotted and bristled fur glued to his sides by the wind, he leaped down, and crossed the valley at a deadly fast sprint, with the Pak following right behind.
Canis Lupus hit the closest knight at a dead sprint and tackled him to the ground. Teeth gnashing, he snapped in, and ripped the knight's throat out.
But what came out of the knight's throat was not blood.
"Stuffing? STUFFING?" Lupus roared. "IT'S A TRAP! EVERYONE OUT!"
The Pak scattered frantically. Wulfs in all directions, running pell-mell, sprinting awry. It was total and utter chaos.
When the dust lifted up from all the paws disturbing it settled, a lone figure stood in the middle of the clearing. Dressed in full purple, she smiled menacingly at Lupus. A Scissors Blade was slung over her shoulder, and her eyes seemed burn right through his soul.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" she shouted.
A madness overtook Lupus. All the recent events, his brother's death, his condition of near starvation, etc, seemed to combine and create a true hound of (opposite of heaven). He charged at her with all his physical power humanly possible.
Just before he leaped, time seemed to slow down. She drew her sword so fast, he didn't even see the flash of silver before it was too late. Lupus' chest rammed straight into the blade, and a gasp of surprise was uttered from his foul jaws. Breathing becoming increasingly more labored, he tried to pull his body away from the blade, but it was stuck tight.
The purple figure grinned, and then bent down and murmured into his ear, "Who's the Alpha now, huh?"
He attempted to snarl at her, but couldn't get the air out. His chest tight, and his blood all around him, his body finally gave up on survival.

Three tiny, fear stricken knights emerged from their hiding spot behind a large rock near the entrance to the clearing. Their fear turned to admiration as they gazed with awestruck eyes at the epic spectacle before them. The purple lady, looking like a goddess, standing victoriously over the body of the dead Wulf, grinned back at them, and waved them over.
"Looks like we've got a premium cut of meat here, and a fine coat to sell! Enough food to last us the whole winter, and the coat will sell for lots of cash!"
----------------
The purple lady stood at the edge of the clearing, watching the young knights climb over the peak of the hill and then start their descent to Haven. She then turned and strode briskly to overhanging rock. A little note tied to a package was placed dead center. She picked up the note, and read it out loud.
"Mission accomplished, good work soldier. Enclosed in the parcel is the item we agreed upon, were you to kill him."
Savoring the taste of victory, she grinned, and then strolled away into the sunset.
Great story! Flows well and is greatly detailed. Well done! 10/10 for you :P
