Bombastic Demo, Mad Bomber, or Volcanic Demo.

- Bombastic is good if you've got CTR UVs on all your bombs, and are using mainly damage bombs, but is otherwise probably best avoided. Its freeze resist is not especially useful, and the damage bonus is outdone by CTR in most situations, unless the latter is maxed out already.
- Mad Bomber is good if you're pro at dodging, and that includes status infliction. You are going to find yourself burning or spasming to death otherwise, but the awesome CTR and damage bonuses are more than worth it if you're paying enough attention to your surroundings, and you can max out both damage and CTR with the suit and just one trinket, leaving you free to use your other one for heart trinkies or whatever you so desire. Can be improved further by adding status resist UVs. Slightly less normal defence than other demo sets.
- Volcanic Demo is a good starting set for bombers, giving max CTR when combined with fully-heated bombs, as well as double max fire resist to boot. Excellent for support bombers using vortices and hazes.
- Mercurial Demo is best reserved for those with excessive money and time on their hands. It has shock resist, but less damage bonus than Bombastic, no CTR bonus, and a MSI Low per piece which is of limited use. Maxing out your bombs' potential will take double damage trinkets and CTR VH UVs on every single one of your bombs, making this an expensive option for maximising damage efficiency. Could work as a decent alternative to Volcanic Demo, but only with CTR trinkies or UVs. Effect on manoeuvrability is debatable.
- Mixing and matching according to your situation and UVs may be desirable in order to get you the best results. Some people choose to take one piece of Volcanic and one of Mad Bomber along with double damage trinkies, in order to negate the fire weakness.

Basically what Zeddy said. The most common option for people who aren't epic pros (they go full mad bomber) is mad bomber helm with volc demo suit. Looks better than the other way around :D If you tend to grind in FSC, and aren't a pro dodger, then Mad Bomber may not be the thing for you. If you are already endgame and P2P, maybe have a look at Mercurial Demo. It's basically Bombastic Demo, but shock res instead of freeze, and it has an additional movement speed increase : low per piece, but in exchange for half the dmg bonus. (It has movement : low and dmg : low per piece)

No, I thought Bombastic had DMG low :/ I'll edit my post. Thanks for the catch.
This is asked all the time and is covered in the Bombing Guide. In a nutshell:
-Do not go for Bombtastic as your first Bomber Set. The damage over time is greater with Spiral Demo than with Bombtastic, that's how much difference CTR makes.
-If you're extremely good at dodging sources of fire and shock, you could go full Mad Bomber.
-If you don't mind splurging on trinkets, Mad+Volcanic will give you some fire resistance and still let you have Max/Max with trinkets.
-Full Volcanic keeps you very safe in fire-heavy areas such as FSC and C42. If you're primarily hazebombing, or tend to lag a lot, it's the best choice. Notably, the damage from fire from Ash of Agni is not increased by bomb damage at all.
