So I've been soloing the arena gate and just got a Magikat Hat from a treasure box.
I'm just wondering, is this item new? Because I've never even heard of it before. o_o Or has someone else obtained one before?
It's a helmet (obviously). It's icon is black, with a dark gray helmet outline. I'm not sure what it looks like equipped yet, as I have yet to finish my run.
Here is a self-explanatory screen shot.
To be honest, it's alright but it's not my favourite. For one day, Boswick, I shall obtain your Kat helm.

Okay either they just released this item (or upped the drop rate if it already existed, though I was not aware of any release) or I have just witnessed a freakish coincidence. My friend just got one 10 minutes after I did. Ooooo~

truth be told u just got one of the rarest drops in the game and coulda been rich enough to buy the game "spiral knights" from OOO them selves as that hat has been out in beta and apparently u 2 guys are the only ones to have actually gotten it and thats pretty darn lucky the fact u both got the rather close to each other but who knows maybe they'll add it to the token vendor eventually like they did the blackened crest.
blackened crest and the kat has was the rarest item in the game and since the crest was added to the token vendor the kat hat is now the rarest item in the game

It has been in the game for a while now, but it seems no one has got one yet.
I'm pretty sure it's just a magic hood with unique art until we do something differently with it. Still, looks like a kat!
