Strange
That happened to me, only in the Royal Jelly Palace. One of the Polyp towers was floating in the air and was shooting spikes at me and my party, though they spikes were flying too so we couldn't judge their position. Then, the arena at the end of the second depth's jellies were all replaced with impostocubes.
The last time something like that happened to me was during a Vanaduke run around D26 I think, right after hopping on the button. It Rampaged through and through and no one could kill it for a straight minute. We were thinking about calling a GM but when the last One was killed the gates opened so we didn't need to. Everyone was laughing about it for a good long while thinking "da hell just... Lol? XD". I mean seriously! We'd have taken screenies but the lulz factor was just...wow. We couldn't keep ourselves composed Laughing so much. Without screenies we had a really difficult time explaining to other people what we just went through.
